Jeffrey Ramos4 said:Come on, both of you bring your guitars over... let's see whose actually sounds better.😒
Mine is definitely the best... 🙂😬🤣

I wonder if I can even squeeze it into my old gig bag...

Exactly as I stated in my signature.😁 👍 🤣

Tomorrow is already Thursday...
Don't put off until tomorrow what we can get done today... 🧐

Anyway, I think Millennium Park works for everyone (at least this time around). Could you all let me know if meeting up at 5:30 PM near the weather station (oh memories ...) works for you? Or would you prefer something earlier or later?
Personally, I'm flexible since my work schedule isn't tied down right now.

Carl Rivera43 said:Alright, okay, let's get this moving. Let's settle on a new spot for us to meet up. Honestly? Whatever you guys decide works for me,

Look, Central Park is a beautiful spot, but considering where most of our members actually live, I think it would be smarter to focus on somewhere closer to the outskirts rather than right in the heart of downtown.
We could potentially aim for a Saturday afternoon hangout at Central Park, maybe around 2 or 3 PM.

So, does Millennium Park sound like a good plan for this Friday?

It’s not actually that far for me—I could be downtown in about thirty minutes—but the real headache is my bus schedule. It’s pretty unreliable around here. 😛
My apologies, I completely misread that post:

No, I can't make it—Central Park is just way too far out of my way.I’m actually starting to pack this Thursday. I'm heading out to see my boyfriend on Friday for a trip to the beach—finally! 🎉 Believe it or not, I actually ended up in Creek. 🙂
Just an observation. 🕺

hiddenwalker30 said:Even Jeffrey Ramos4 has a long trek just getting to Grand Central, and then he still has to trek all the way to Central Park in this heat.🕺

Well, even for hiddenwalker30, it's just a short ride to Grand Central before having to deal with the trek to Central Park in this heat.🕺

Whenever I’m walking through the city, I always make sure to stop by Bryant Park for at least a little while.👍

There are those fountains over in Tampa that have such a beautiful, soothing rustle to them. It’s pure bliss... 😍

Carl Rivera43 said:So, mark your calendars! Friday, August 14th at 5:30 PM. We’re meeting up in Central Park, right by that little kiosk near the Beverly Hills station... just a nice mix of walking, chatting, and keeping things totally chill.

Honestly, last time was a total mess because we spent way too much time wandering around trying to track each other down. Let’s just pick an unmistakable meeting spot this time—the main entrance. That kiosk is right there anyway, so we can easily swing by it once we arrive.

Alright then, I guess I'll be heading out there too...

I’d much prefer Sunday. Tomorrow is going to be an absolute nightmare at home all day long.

Is the New York Botanical Garden open right now?

Edit: I'll be heading over around 5 PM, so I'll reach out to someone then.

Just like the rest of us...

That day at Boston Common last year, almost everyone was shivering like they were caught in a blizzard 😁, right when we were all meeting up for the first time.

Alexander Sullivan said:I suppose I could ask if it would be possible for me to join you all for the get-together? It would be my first time attending, I guess. 🙂

Of course! We would love to have you.

Every few months, someone new decides to show up at our get-togethers 👍

Sounds good! I'll be heading over there just before 5:00 PM, and I'll shoot someone a quick text once I arrive.

So, are we still on for tomorrow? I’ll head over right after I wrap up at the office, and then we can meet up wherever you guys decide to settle in.

Carl Rivera43 said:So, it’s Wednesday! July 1st is the perfect day for us to get together {and the weather should be beautiful, too}

The plan is to meet up by the Bank of America {near the Jordan transit stop}...and then we can head over to Central Park.

Let's aim for a loose time...maybe around 2:30 or 3:00? Somewhere in that window works for me, and it'll work for anyone who is absolutely certain they can make it.

Or maybe a bit later, since most people are working until 4:00 PM.

That's fantastic! I'm so glad to hear that. There are still a few people you haven't met yet, but there will definitely be more chances down the road. I hear you guys are actually interested in the idea of hanging out at Central Park? 🙂

steelnomad4 said:Hey there... I might just try to show up if I can pull up enough courage, and assuming you guys actually have room for one more...

Hi! 👋

I just wanted to tell you that you'll feel totally understood and accepted by everyone at the gathering. Whether we meet up this week or some other time doesn't really matter. For all of us, that first meet was a little 😲 bit awkward, but that's exactly why the second 😍 is so much better.

But listen, I hate to be the one to say it, but by doing that, we’re basically silencing everyone else...
