Amanda Diaz said:I have no way of knowing which specific moderator deleted the post. I thought even you could grasp that simple concept.

Unfortunately, clearly not. 😢

Do you even grasp the concept that mods who aren't specifically assigned to a particular subreddit don't have the authority to delete posts within that sub?
It’s as if we can't even see what was deleted; let's go ahead and review the material once more.

Acting like a genius in every field, yet the money still flows.

Laz Quote🤣

She didn't realize that Morgan Peterson and driftingtinker are the ones running the show, so she overstepped. 🤣

Like silverpuma61 told you, they aren't on that Reddit because I banned them. So it's not very classy to act smart when you aren't even 100% right in this case.

If you read with any actual understanding, you'd realize immediately she isn't complaining about the moderation. That means you've truly asked yourself the right question. 🙏

I would honestly give you that exact answer, but I know you all grasp irony and sarcasm like a toddler grasps a loaded gun, so I won't bother. I have to consider Giod's mental health; it’s not as if any of us need to make things even worse for him. 🐔

Jessica Kelly4 said:Why should I bother wasting my energy on you people? You already wore me out with those "official" stances on abortion, where you didn't just shut down the debate, but actively banned basic pro-life terminology. I walked away back then, but then the pandemic pulled me back in, and clearly, nothing has changed.

At the end of the day, competition is a good thing, right?

"Decide once and for all if you're pro-life or anti-vax. Do you actually want that child to die or not??"

Once again, don't mention it. 😉

I can even recommend a good eye doctor if needed.

We can go see the eye doctor together; I didn't bother checking the page number, and clearly, you can't even see the full list of names listed as mods next to the Corona PDF.
And what prescription are we looking at? 😒

Oh, good for you. Why don't you lend him to us for a bit? We could really use someone with those exact qualities around here right now.

no, wait...

I saw a comment similar to yours regarding those complaints, specifically about that whole PDF world... Honestly, I have no clue what they're even talking about. But I'm still reaching out anyway, because I am... @Mod, if I could... yeah, something like that...

Not quite. Let me correct you.
"I suppose even I, acting as a mod, occasionally find myself just pulling things out of thin air, much like certain forum members do on a constant basis."

Don't mention it; my respects.

Go over to Giod and tell the mods they're targeting people for no reason. Honestly, I'm dying to see how this plays out 🙏

What is this thread even supposed to be if not just a collective vent session? It’s not like you’re actually presenting any evidence on the floor. And then there’s the matter of the replacement... it's as if the church immediately jumps to shuffle a wrongdoer off to another parish. We actually need to verify the truth of these claims, don't we? This isn't North Korea, after all.

Personally, I don't see a single concrete complaint regarding the accuracy of mister's moderation... some petty color issue, perhaps? But what did he actually do wrong in his role as moderator? Look at three whole pages of discussion and we still haven't seen one specific grievance.

edit: make that four pages. My god, what am I even doing with my life. 🤦

Ethan Campbell81 said:Now we're talking 🍿

By the way, let me answer you;
No, he does care, and yes, this affects all of us.
Why?
Just as believers create a church, forum users create the forum. The forum exists to serve us, not the other way around. I assume you understand that concept.

It doesn't affect anyone except the forum owner. While the moderation team is solid, nobody actually cares if a moderator goes by Anderlon, Mr. Pink, or Guesswho—it doesn't matter who they are or where they post.

Reddit is meant to be a space for users to communicate and debate, and in that regard, it functions perfectly well.
I suppose it's true that congregants don't get a say in electing their local clergy, nor does anyone bother asking them, so your parallel is actually spot on—mea culpa.🙂

It’s not as if this hasn't been stated multiple times already in the thread. Honestly, it should probably be written in all caps just to make sure it actually penetrates people's brains.

Amy Rogers6 said:Look, you're just shouting into the void—I don't even know why—everyone can see you're just talking to yourself. The issue is this clone moderator who's going to handle the COVID PDF from now on. That clone is also your boss, and he's using his original handle, Anderlon, which he's already used in this thread. Now they're spinning the whole thing as "increasing objectivity." I don't get what part isn't clicking for you—do I need to draw you a map or something?div>

Do I seriously have to draw you a map to explain that you shouldn't care who the mod is? It doesn't affect you, and it certainly isn't your job. As a user, you just need to follow the rules of the Reddit community; anything else is none of your damn business.
Is that clear enough for you?

@Amy Rogers6
You’re still drawing the wrong conclusions because you clearly don't understand the subject matter you're discussing. This is about how moderation works on this Reddit, the level of autonomy moderators have in their roles, and why some people choose not to comment on those COVID PDF files.
Yet, you're so incredibly set in your ways that nothing written here will ever sway your perspective—something you've proven repeatedly—so attempting any further explanation would be a complete waste of time. I have no patience for futile tasks or for people who make conversation impossible simply because they refuse to listen. They just don't want to hear the truth.
New moderator Mr. Smith is on a power trip in Feedback & Suggestions ·
If it gets deleted, it wasn't wanted. Can you honestly come up with a better definition than that?
We're all just here to kill time anyway, and I'm certain the mods are so preoccupied with COVID that they have nothing better to do than scrub away any memes they deem uninspired or foolish.
Note: I didn't actually see what was removed; I'm just assuming. 😬

Paul Newman86 said:So, what, are we supposed to study the editorial policy just to figure out what we can and can't post?

Well, obviously, if something was posted and then subsequently deleted, it clearly didn't comply with the rules. Simple logic, right? 🤷

silverpuma61 said:You weren't reading because it was fun; you were reading because you felt obligated, or maybe even worse, you were doing it just to suck up to the boss. Though, I suppose one might actually expect that kind of behavior from Andrew. He’s a bit of a novice, still riding the high of being black. 😍

By the way, I'm not even on that Reddit, so you completely missed the mark with that bolded part. 😍

Of course. 🙂

Paul Newman86 said:Morgan,

Who deleted the memes in the coronavirus subforum without even giving an explanation?

But just look at this, kid. My very first post.

Moderators oversee compliance with the user code of conduct on Reddit, and they are fully authorized to edit or remove any content that fails to meet the site's rules and editorial policy.

Nobody is obligated to explain themselves to anyone; you agreed to these terms the moment you registered on this site. As far as I recall, even that other platform follows the exact same rule.

silverpuma61 said:Just when you think you've seen it all... 🤣

Yet, you're diligently spying on Giod and reporting back to the news chief, who then issues the command, "Go handle it!" 🤣

Actually, this whole thing with bluelynx52 is pretty suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't a new mod at all, but just an existing moderator talking to themselves and handing out bans, only to switch back to their original account later and say, "It wasn't me, I swear."🤣

I actually found this place entertaining for a while, but frankly, I'm bored now. It’s become nothing but endless repetition and sheer stupidity. 🙄

Amy Rogers6 said:I am not being hysterical at all—if you actually read with comprehension, you'd realize that yourself. It’s not even about commenting on moderation or following rules... the issue is that your boss is showing up under a clone account to further push this COVID PDF—he's obviously worried, and clearly thought nobody would find it suspicious that a mod suddenly drops in with only 20 posts. The real problem is that you guys don't see the issue. Your hive mind (well, part of the mod team, since one part doesn't exactly follow the narrative) is creepy and pathetic. You're discrediting yourselves and turning serious topics into a total circus—and your moderation has reached new lows with these mod clones, all while preaching about "objectivity." 🤣🤣🤣

You're avoiding the whole point—why? You need to answer that for yourself. Is it because you're a loyal soldier for the system? Is it because you actually believe the narrative? Or is it because you genuinely don't understand anything? Whatever the reason, it doesn't justify this style of moderation or these petty tricks of hiding behind clones. What's the goal? Why is the boss afraid to delete posts or hand out bans using his actual username? Doesn't he trust you guys to do the job?

Those are the questions, Modesty. And all you're doing is telling me to quote you—it's just babbling!!!! Basically—blah, blah. And yet you have such an enviable post count and such an enviable tenure as a mod, but instead of fixing things, you're trying to turn this place into a joke. Pathetic, isn't it???

Come on, Amy Rogers, please tell me exactly how this new/old mod pushed the COVID narrative?
Did they hand out bans? Did they delete on-topic posts? What exactly did they do? I am genuinely curious.

Furthermore, I can't see deleted posts because I'm not a moderator there. And I know you won't believe me, because based on everything, you've already decided that all mods are lying and serving some secret agenda known only to you, but I can't even see an IP address. Even if I could, it wouldn't do me any good because IP addresses change every 24 hours anyway. Not to mention VPNs, Tor, and all that.
In short, I have no idea who you are, what you do, or where you are in real life, nor do I care one bit.

What bothers me is precisely the rhetoric you're using in this post, and not just you. You've all memorized these silly phrases, deeply convinced that anyone who isn't against vaccines or believes in a global conspiracy isn't a "loyal soldier" following the narrative. Oh, my dear, you certainly are. You are absolutely following it.

Contrary to those conspiracy theories you love so much, no one here moderates on orders; we moderate according to the Reddit rules that are available to everyone. We are all volunteers doing what our own consciences dictate. The fact that some of us hold opinions diametrically opposed to yours and your group's is simply our right.

I’ve been reading through what people are posting on this subreddit and within this specific thread. As for that COVID PDF, I couldn't care less about how much dirt is buried under those fingernails; I left a few comments over there only because I followed a link posted here on this forum.

Naturally, I had to poke fun at a user who’s been lurking here for years with an impressive post count, yet somehow acts like they're hearing the rules for the very first time regarding not commenting on moderation in these threads.
Then, of course, he goes ahead and critiques the mods, only to come storming back to this PDF post all hysterical and terrified because his comment was deleted. Give me a break.

To actually form an opinion about someone, you have to observe their behavior and listen to the stances held by that individual or group. So, tell me: what kind of impression would an outsider get of the author of this thread based solely on the title and the content of the very first post? Just that—there's no need to dig any deeper into the thread.

And no, what you quoted above wasn't some subtle mockery. On the contrary, I was being anything but subtle.
