I’m looking at how high everyone else's levels are... Mine was hovering around 50 a few weeks ago, despite my supposedly "perfect" lifestyle. One has to wonder what would happen if I actually indulged in fast food, soda, or alcohol. In one of those links above, people were even suggesting avoiding Gatorade. Personally, I've noticed it doesn't sit well with me, so I rarely touch the stuff. Now, I'm dealing with chronic throat inflammation, and my doctor dumped a round of antibiotics on me. Am I actually feeling worse from the medication than the original infection? Quite likely.👎 👎
Raymond Thomas7 said:I don't really drink alcohol or use any kind of opioids, honestly, but I was thinking that having high bilirubin might serve as a decent enough excuse when turning down a drink at a happy hour😉—you know, something reasonable without being so weird that people think you're a total freak. You know how it is; nowadays everyone is drinking, and if you don't join in, you're basically an outsider🙄 because people usually assume you're just being stuck-up when you refuse a drink, so they keep pushing and insisting you just need to loosen up a bit. 😳
😍 😍 "Elevated bilirubin" is my go-to excuse as well. I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but I plan to. 😍
High bilirubin doesn't always signal liver damage, but you can easily verify that with a standard blood panel to check your enzyme levels. My liver is perfectly fine; I just have a genetic predisposition for elevated bilirubin. Don't go punishing your liver with alcohol. If you absolutely must, stick to opioids that won't strain the organ.🙂
I was just diagnosed with high bilirubin myself. Back in my teens, I used to drink heavily and honestly thought I was struggling with depression. Turns out, it was just the bilirubin...
Oh, come on, executioner, you’re clinging to those views like a drowning man just so you don't have to face the truth. Is it really that hard to realize millions of people thrive—even better—without meat? Or are you just too lazy to move your butt and actually step away from the crowd?
That’s all I have to say to you, so don't even bother. 😛
hereticST said:Vegetarians actually face higher rates of colon cancer than meat eaters.
Good grief, what a fool 🙏. Colon cancer is more prevalent in Western nations—specifically those where red meat consumption is high and fiber intake is low. This holds true for other cancers as well, obviously.
The consumption of red meat and processed meats is indeed linked to an increased risk of colon cancer, according to a meta-analysis published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
William Hernandez26, how many times do you have to repeat yourself before you realize you're just being blocked? Or until the moderators figure out you're just trolling? Honestly, give me a break.🙏
@Thomas Stewart97, I sent you links regarding B-12 just a few pages back. You went quiet for a moment, only to resurface with the same old arguments.
It’s far more likely for an omnivore to struggle with a deficiency than a vegan.
Vegans actually require significantly less B-12 than the rest of the population.
Most vegans don't even bother with supplements because they simply don't need them; the B-12 present in a standard vegan diet is more than sufficient.
The whole B-12 scare is nothing more than a myth. It's a shame these internet trolls haven't figured out that the protein myth is just as fabricated, yet they still cling to it.
Every bit of Vitamin B12 on this planet is actually produced by bacteria. Neither plant life nor animals have the ability to manufacture it themselves. Plants only end up with B12 through contact with soil bacteria. Animal foods are rich in B12 only because animals eat foods that are contaminated with it or because bacteria living in an animal's intestines make it.
Fine, I’ll bite. Tomorrow—actually, today 😬—I think I'll finally ask who should take me on, so please, give me your final thoughts. Who should I go with:
*Dr. Antonela Madjor-Bozinovic – I read nothing but glowing reviews for her on WebMD, though there isn't much here on this forum. *Dr. Danka Mirić-Tesanic *Dr. Mario Curic *Dr. Aleksandar Dijakovic – What's the deal with him? Does he practice privately or at the local community clinic? I saw some rave reviews about him on WebMD too.
It's just an initial consultation, nothing urgent, no emergencies... just that I can think of a billion things I'd rather be doing than this. Should I probably just cross off "Butcher" Curic then? 😳
For now, I'm thinking of calling Tesanic first, then Bozinovic. It's a shame no one mentioned Dijakovic here.

It doesn't matter how rough your sex life usually is. When you say no, and he turns aggressive, starts slapping you, and rapes you, that is abuse. You can try to rationalize it all you want, but eventually, the consequences will hit you from head to toe.
Everything you’ve written sounds like the classic script and excuses used by abused women. It’s practically a textbook case.
goldenotter3, I’m trying to make sense of this, so you should try too. Your situation isn't quite the same as what John Price is going through. You're being abused—both emotionally and physically (violating you)—and he's only able to get away with it because your self-esteem is in the gutter. What do you think of my take on this?
It looks like these antibiotics are wrecking my digestion. Honestly, how uncomfortable can this get? I’ve never dealt with anything like this before and I'm completely lost on what to do. Should I stick to bland foods? Drink more water? Cut out carbs? Anything?
I feel ridiculous bringing up such a lowbrow topic here, but what choice do I have? 😢 Please don't laugh; I'm already having a hard enough time 😢
I still have two doses left—should I finish them or just quit? I was actually planning on going to a concert tonight 🙂
John Phillips47, you clearly have plenty to say, though it’s a shame your style borders on spam. Might I suggest consolidating your thoughts into a single post rather than ten separate ones? It would prevent them from being deleted for ruining the aesthetic and irritating our neurotic moderator. Thank you.
Hmm, someone posted about this on the Health forum ages ago; feel free to dig through the archives if you're interested.
From what I gather, are those exercises only useful for higher prescriptions? Is there even much point with a 1.5? I ask because I don't really wear glasses unless I'm at college giving presentations, so skipping them wouldn't be an issue. Especially since I just tossed my old pair out—I'd have to buy new ones anyway.😬
