Chris Miller said:It really depends on the hospital, and even the specific department where you're having the surgery. The only way to know for sure is to reach out via email or phone to whoever is scheduling your appointment—it'll most likely be the head nurse.
I finally heard back from the nursing staff! First, I have to complete all my preliminary testing, and only then can I actually request a date for the procedure. And yes, it definitely varies; during my last surgery, I was given a date almost immediately.
I have a quick question because my gynecologist hasn't been getting back to me.
I need to schedule a surgery, and my doctor gave me a whole stack of referrals for various tests. I’m wondering about the logistics: should I try to secure a surgical date first, or do I need to complete all these tests and clear the anesthesiologist visit before I can actually ask for a spot on the schedule?
Thanks
Cannabis, much like any other psychedelic, can be both a gift and a curse at the same time.
I found something truly fascinating when I would step away from the laughter and jokes with friends to sit in solitude. In layman's terms, I’d describe it as a process where my ego begins to "dilute," becoming more permeable and allowing the subconscious to surface. I often utilized that "in-between space" for personal growth work, because in those moments, it became significantly easier to distinguish what was imposed on me by my upbringing and environment from who I actually am (or at least, who I would be if it weren't for all that negative conditioning).
I stopped using it because: 1) psychedelics mess with your brain chemistry, which can lead to a decrease in the production of dopamine and serotonin (those essential hormones for motivation and happiness), and 2) the subconscious hides a lot of crap, and sometimes it's better not to stir up the muddy water.
Just a word of caution: if you want to explore, go ahead—but do it moderately, wisely, voluntarily, and with full awareness and information! 🧐

Hi everyone!
Because my current work situation keeps me pretty isolated from the outside world and the people I care about most, I decided to come here to find some pen pals. I'm living abroad right now, and I don't get much chance to connect with people my age who share my perspective on things, so I'd love some company to help 🙂
To give you a little background, I'm a 25-year-old woman who finds a lot of peace in nature and solitude. I'm a huge fan of animals, books, philosophy, and pop science. When I have free time, you can usually find me reading, cooking, playing guitar, or painting. I consider myself an idealist and a pacifist, though I definitely have a playful, childlike side to me. Even though I often think of myself as an introvert, I tend to prove myself wrong on the weekends when I have a few cocktails and end up dancing like nobody's watching 😁 😵 As for music, I'm open to just about anything—even some cheesy pop songs when I'm joking around with friends—but when I'm alone in my room, I'm definitely blasting some heavy rock 🙂
If any of this resonates with you, please feel free to reach out; age and gender don't matter to me 🙂 However, I would kindly ask that only people with similar interests get in touch. In my experience, these kinds of connections usually fizzle out very quickly if we don't have common ground to talk about.
Looking forward to chatting! 🙂
I'm curious to know if any of you have managed to get rid of a cyst without surgery, and if so, what approach actually worked for you?
I've been dealing with this cyst for five years now. During that time, I've been on birth control thinking it would clear things up, and most recently, I finished two courses of Duphaston, but clearly, that didn't do the trick... I'm not experiencing any pain, but my gynecologist is pushing for surgery—which is something I’d really love to avoid if there's any other way.
I see people mentioning castor oil packs, herbal teas, and various drops... What have your actual experiences been like with those?
