Out of everything that’s been suggested, I honestly think the smartest move might be to just take the scheme and stay put instead of heading out anywhere. 😉
Hmm, I have to say, it really does make a difference when it comes to staying awake.... I mean, I usually only reach for it when I’m staring down a long haul on the highway. In those cases, I’ll prep two cans just in case, and if I start feeling my eyes getting heavy, I’ll grab one and it honestly wakes me right up... probably even better than a cup of coffee..
The only thing is, if the drive is super long and the sleepiness starts creeping back in, I just pull over and take a nap. Because, I guess, if I’m still feeling exhausted even after two Red Bulls, then I am just seriously, deeply tired.🙂
And honestly, looking at all those suggestions, I think my own situation would just look pretty pathetic and miserable, so I ended up just laughing at myself instead. 😁
Yeah, you're right about that, but honestly, when I see names like "Magic Moon Soup" or "Lunar Diet"... man, I just can't help myself, I end up cracking up 😂
So, I’m sitting down for breakfast this morning, still feeling pretty groggy, though I did manage to actually clean myself up properly for once...
I sit down in the non-smoking section, and there’s just this guy right there, puffing away... and honestly, I had this sudden, intense urge to just chuck my plate of semi-dry scrambled eggs at his head, followed by a half-eaten hash brown and a splash of milk for good measure...
Look, I enjoy all sorts of things in the morning, but the stench of cigarette smoke? Not really my thing, especially not while I'm trying to eat.
He ended up putting the cigarette out, though.
I guess I must have been staring him down for a little too long.
Oh, and one more thing... if you suddenly smell something funky in the dining area and it isn't a cigarette... then I'm probably sitting right near you, right after finishing a massive portion of chili.😁 😁 : D 😁

And honestly, all that stuff about phones and gadgets being banned on planes feels like a fairy tale from the 1980s. I mean, pretty much every person in first class is carrying a laptop and using it during the flight.
In airplanes, you can't smoke, and at most airports I've visited, there's no smoking either, except maybe in specifically fenced-off areas or some remote corner. Even at train stations in Germany, there’s no smoking, unless you're in those partitioned rooms or near some distant spot...
As for the cell phones and laptops, you aren't supposed to use anything during takeoff and landing. Of course, you technically *can* do whatever you want, and obviously, the plane isn't going to crash just because you used a phone, but I think the small reason behind it is similar to when you're driving a car and you hear that "beep beep" sound coming through the radio... well, the pilots hear that same interference in their headsets, so to avoid any distractions, they'd rather everyone just turns everything off.....
Hey, Casey Palmer5, I was thinking it might be a good idea to maybe move this discussion over to the legal thread? That way, some actual attorneys could take a look and see if your friend actually has enough solid ground to file a lawsuit—or even just report the whole thing to a medical board or an inspectorate. It would be worth seeing if there was any genuine medical negligence involved here, just so we can try to make sure nothing like this happens again in the future.
bluewolf4 said:Yeah, but if they actually pull this off, I feel like there won't be anything left to stop them from banning smoking even inside a smoker's own home. I was mentioning this before—how they made that documentary where an old lady was complaining about her neighbor smoking in his apartment in the same building. She’s worried her cat might get cancer from the smoke drifting through the AC vents at an Atomic size.🙏
Honestly, if you ask me, they could probably just ban that too, 😈 because it happens to me all the time during the summer; I'll have my window open and a neighbor will light up right on their windowsill, and then I'm stuck smelling it...
Man, I seriously can't get over that whole thing about cancer and "personality"...
Look, you hardcore smokers... I don't smoke, not because I'm terrified of cancer, but because cigarettes SMELL LIKE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!!
So, I'm sitting there this morning having breakfast in the non-smoker section, right? And this guy walks right into the smoking area. He starts eating, I start eating. I finished my food and wanted to sit there for a bit longer to finish my tea since my throat was killing me, but then this guy lights up and just blows the smoke straight toward the non-smoking side. Honestly, if my throat wasn't acting up and I wasn't feeling under the weather, maybe I could have just sucked it up and finished my tea, but since I was already feeling crappy, I just got up halfway through and left....
So, go ahead and smoke as much as you want. As far as I'm concerned, you can wear a space helmet with its own little micro-atmosphere filled with 50% cigarette smoke or whatever you like... JUST DON'T MAKE IT SMELL ON ME!
swiftscout8 said:It isn't really about the smell itself. I mean, if it smells, it smells, but the actual issue is that it's poisoning me. It’s not just affecting them; it’s affecting me too. And honestly, that's where my real concern lies.
I mean, sure, it's poisoning you and all sorts of other things... but for me, it just plain stinks. Like, when someone lights one up right while I'm trying to eat... I don't even want to get into it.
You know, when you think about who actually decides on the rules we all have to live by, it’s not just about smoking... I guess it's pretty much like that with everything else in life.
As far as smoking goes, honestly, smoke as much as you want, just please don't make me smell it... okay? 😉
