I’ve got exactly two weeks until my wedding and birthday festivities, and I am absolutely horrified—my stomach has suddenly ballooned out of nowhere! To make matters worse, I can't even zip up a single pair of jeans because I managed to pack on a few extra pounds just this past month. I really need to drop at least 5 or 6 pounds before the big day, so please, I am begging for some advice! Does anyone know of anything effective and fast? Any help would be life-saving...

Take a peek at that thread about the magic soup recipe.

Honestly, just sticking to that soup, getting out for a little jog every evening... that's really all it took. It’s funny how simple things work sometimes.

I managed to drop 5 😎
pounds!

So, I was sitting here thinking... do I actually *have* to eat breakfast? Like, is it an absolute requirement at this point?

- Eat every 2-3 hours in small portions. Don't just starve all day then gorge yourself later. Eat breakfast.
- Load up on fruit and veggies; cut back on the greasy stuff and sugar.
- Hit the gym.

Honestly, just sticking to that soup and getting some light jogging in every evening does the trick!

And how many days did that take you?

if you’re just trying to drop like 6 pounds so you can squeeze into a specific dress or some jeans, honestly, that monthly detox thing works pretty well—basically, on your period, you just stick to liquids all day, but if you stretch it out over three days by having nothing but fruit in the morning and then just staying hydrated for the rest of the day before and after, you'll definitely see results, though it won't exactly last forever

Basically, on the day of your period, you don't eat anything at all—just stay extremely hydrated. If you extend that window to three days—eating nothing but fruit in the morning and then fasting for the rest of the day both before and after—success is practically guaranteed! Just keep in mind, the results won't stick long term.

Thanks! Actually, I don't necessarily need to squeeze into a tight dress; it's more about a skirt that sits on my hips, so fitting in isn't the main issue. It's just that my stomach is so bloated lately, and it honestly looks terrible...
That's the real struggle right here.
I have tried those monthly cleanses before, but I've never heard of this "day before and day after" method. Let me go check my calendar and see when my next cycle starts.

and yeah, that's the whole issue.
I tried those timing things during my period, but I hadn't heard about doing it right before or after, so let me go check when my cycle actually starts..

well, I just kind of started doing that on my own because it seemed like a good call to not overdo it the day before or after, and if you're really trying to slim down that tummy area, honestly just skip dinner altogether (I mean, if you can skip dinner, you might as well start that right now), but having your last meal by 6 PM really helps a ton since dinner is usually what causes all that bloating, plus everything those other girls mentioned—like eating smaller portions more often and getting some walking or jogging in, maybe even some core workouts and all that works too
it really just comes down to how much time you've got and what kind of results you're looking for

Wait, are you maybe pregnant? 😁 If you are, I guess you'll just have to settle in for those nine months while that little belly starts showing... 😁 🙂

Just trim your hair, clip your nails, clean up between your toes, and handle your bathroom hygiene... and you’re good to go!

My mom actually started this diet recently and she already lost about 4 pounds in just four days.👍

And the crazy thing is, she hasn't even hit the gym once.

😂 I mean, looking at it all now, most of these responses seem pretty sensible, I guess. 😂

dustyharbor7, I actually disagree. Sometimes the body just needs a quick reset to clear things out, provided you don't go overboard with heavy, greasy junk food immediately afterward.

Yeah, you're right about that, but honestly, when I see names like "Magic Moon Soup" or "Lunar Diet"... man, I just can't help myself, I end up cracking up 😂

I might be! My period is definitely late, but honestly, since I haven't even been intimate in over a month—just living my life by pure faith—it's hard to say.

D'Arc said:Well, I actually took matters into my own hands and tried this on my own! It just made sense to me not to overindulge the day before or after. And honestly, if your main goal is to flatten your stomach, you might want to skip dinner entirely—I mean, if skipping dinner works, why wait? In my experience, having your last meal no later than 6:00 PM makes a massive difference since late dinners always seem to trigger bloating. Otherwise, everything the other ladies mentioned is spot on: stick to small, frequent meals and get moving with walking or running to target that midsection.
severything really depends on how much free time you have and what kind of results you're looking for

The real issue is that I've come down with a nasty cold and a sore throat, so I'm currently drowning myself in honey, which—let's face it—is definitely adding extra calories!

Well, happy laughing to you then! Besides, I'm certain you only wandered into this thread just to have a good chuckle (or to lose it completely).😁

And honestly, looking at all those suggestions, I think my own situation would just look pretty pathetic and miserable, so I ended up just laughing at myself instead. 😁

Don't even get me started... 😁
How about you try eating the exact same meal every single day until you're so sick of it that your throat tightens up like a 14-year-old girl's grip on her first prom date?
No, actually—just go ahead and chug 99% pure grain alcohol and eat food that hasn't even been digested yet.
Your stomach isn't going to look bloated if there aren't any actual organs inside it.👍
