Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
It’s been five hours, and let me tell you—I’m not just some sweet little thing, I’m actually quite sexy. That’s exactly why I got married, believe me.
I'm officially wiped out. Did you catch my brilliant observation about pumpkin pie and lemons during philosophy class? It was mostly a deep dive into how philosophers can be such total divas.🤣 🤣 🤣

It sounds like you were having an out-of-body experience! 🙂
Genius and madness... in Philosophy ·
I’m convinced I’m both absolutely wild and a total genius—there's no doubt about it.

Taylor Campbell4 said:I bet some of you have seen that movie about the brilliant British mathematician who cracked the German codes during the war—he was basically a genius at it. But in the film, he deals with these hallucinations; I'm not sure if it's paranoid schizophrenia or something else.

Well, yeah, he suffered because of it, but by the end of the movie, he somehow manages to get through it. I don't remember the exact details, but it’s like he found a way to live with the visions, or maybe he just tricked his own mind into ignoring them. Has anyone else seen this film? And do you think there might be any truth to how they portrayed his condition?

Oh, I know exactly who you mean!
I actually have a documentary about him called BRILLIANT MADNESS.
You can find it online to download.

It's really fascinating, and seeing him in his later years makes me wonder what I'll be like when I get to that age.
His speech is a bit scattered, and he doesn't always say much, but I find myself just watching him intently, much like you.
Then again, I'm definitely never winning a Nobel Prize. Life's a bitch, right?

Brenda Cook4 said:out - do you ever actually use sleep aids?

Haha, why would I sleep when I’m feeling this good at night?
The house smells like freshly baked cookies and laundry—it's such a vibe.
Honestly, I just swung from mania straight into depression, and now the pain has moved.
It went from my lungs right down to my back and heart.
I deal with all those psychosomatic issues.
Oh, and if things don't improve soon, I might just lose it.
There won't be any kittens tomorrow if I can't settle down.🙄
I'll probably have to ask my husband who paid him to stick around me, since he won't tell me!
So, why aren't you sleeping?
Why do atheists... in Philosophy ·
Aleksandr_V_Fedotov said:They don't have their own "Pope" or a central "Church" or anything like that... I'm asking because I see religious fanatics out there proselytizing and protesting constantly without anyone stopping to think! Hello!!! Atheists are part of this world too! Wouldn't it be nice to have someone representing the one faith that doesn't believe in any? 🙂

Wait, you're an atheist? YOU HAVE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who am I? in Philosophy ·
Look, we can't just say "it's fine" because everyone else is doing it;
just because his parents were thieves doesn't change the fact that he's a criminal;
he is who he is, plain and simple.
It would be like saying I feel great because I took revenge on
the person who killed my child, but it still isn't right.

Honestly, isn't it funny how we end up in these situations?
Ugh, I've clearly let myself go lately—definitely need to watch my diet a bit more.
I just feel totally checked out; it’s hard to put into words what that feeling is actually like.
Unless you've been there yourself, it's almost impossible to understand.

mistybison said:Me? No, why would I? 🙂 It’s honestly kind of funny when people from over here try to mimic a specific regional dialect or slang, because it usually sounds super forced and doesn't really capture how locals actually talk or joke around. 😁

😂 😂 😂 😂 But what on earth is that abbreviation even short for???????
analogwolf2 said:🙏 I am totally 👍

The real issue stems from two extreme ends of the spectrum:
a) those who do this constantly and start acting like jittery addicts if they can't get their fix
b) those who swear up and down they NEVER, and I mean NEVER, do it, so they try to label everyone else as being part of the problem

😂 😂 😂 🙂 ☕

There’s a bit of good in every evil, and a touch of evil in everything good. I’m thinking specifically about computers.
Does it actually hurt your feelings if I say, "Hey, what's up?"
And where did that even come from?
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
I might have a little inside scoop on this, but I probably shouldn't be sharing it just yet😂 😂 😵 🙂
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
If you’ve got a logical explanation for this, I’m all ears because I certainly don't have one myself🤣 🤣

The whole "little star drifting away from God" trope just doesn't cut it for me anymore.
I’m starting to think we’re more like Sauron’s Uruk-hai—mostly those slimy types—while everyone else insists they’re some kind of high-and-mighty Elves. 🙂 🙄

And the Sphinx? Yeah, right...

Brenda Cook4 said:Who’s to say we aren't something special... at least for now? Who knows where evolution will take us next.🙏

But honestly, I don't mean "special" in that way—it feels more like a swarm of Borgs.
I’m talking about being a responsible, self-aware human being. If you actually read my thread, you'd see my point. Maybe we'll eventually evolve into something akin to aliens, becoming much calmer and less hostile toward one another.👍 🤣 🤣 😍

The quotes are absolutely lovely,
but honestly, who actually takes the time to read them?

Meanwhile, the people who don't care about substance are busy debating political figures, former presidents, or just arguing over trivial nonsense...
it’s all just noise.
It reminds me of when Oprah was on her show talking about how long it takes for Black hair to grow out—the white audience members were just sitting there staring while the Black guests were laughing along.
Perhaps we were granted the title of "human" a little too early in our evolution.

Flipping through papers🤣 and whatnot...
And man being intelligent is just how Bog intended it.
Simple as that.

Just a little joke: Maybe the brain isn't a woman's weakest link... but it's definitely a link!

It's like you guys have those gray tumors, while over here, our heads are just filled with pure consciousness.

vividpilot33 said:Basically, there are just fewer smart people out there, and it has
nothing to do with gender or what you eat. I know plenty of vegetarians, and honestly, none of them seem any sharper—if anything, they seem a bit slower. There are clear reasons why people gravitate toward those diets, yet there's this constant push to act like it somehow represents a higher stage of human evolution through "correct" choices. It’s like they think choosing certain foods makes them more advanced.
I personally know someone who stays quiet about it; they have their own lifestyle, respect what others choose, and don't use dietary habits as the primary way to divide the world into smart and foolish people.
Wouldn't that be a bit too obvious and pretentious?

Exactly, exactly, exactly!

Truth, truth, truth

Maybe those hallucinations from my trip to Lourdes finally cleared up🙏 🙂 :klap: ☕

But honestly, I’ve always felt a little off—even back when my mom was still around and long before things got difficult with my health
