Of course, they're all interconnected. Fear manifests in various ways,
including that irrational, baseless fear of illness—hypochondria.
Cats. Simply incomparable. Asks:

Architecture just isn't what it used to be... honestly.🙄

Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
In any case, regular physical activity might help things along just a bit.
Physical activity 👍 (and I've been messing around for 2 or 3 months now, doing absolutely nothing,
aside from walking to work🙄 )

Keith Doyle18 said:I don't think this has anything to do with pain. I’ve been incredibly active in sports for years—sometimes up to seven hours of physical activity a day—and even that didn't save me from my regular monthly cramps and pains.

I actually felt like it helped me.😉
By that, I meant regular, non-professional exercise.
Seven hours a day 😲 (maybe a lighter approach suits you better; the Italians call it
'ginnastica dolce'—you know, something easygoing rather than 'killing yourself').

There isn't really a magic fix for this—not that I know if "fix" is even the right word.
There are so many of us out there. Nausea🙂, intense pain, passing out, things like that.
I’ve dealt with agonizing periods for nearly two decades now.🙄
For one stretch, I had to take a Baralgin injection every single month for twelve months straight.
(Luckily, my mom works in healthcare, so she could just give them to me at home instead of me having to head to the ER.)
I've cycled through Ibuprofen, Baralgin, Nalgesin, Cafetin... you name it.
The pain wasn't limited to when I was on birth control, either, though I do get the occasional "lucky month" where I can make it through without pills.
Personally, I think regular physical activity—which, unfortunately, isn't my strong suit—and relaxation exercises might help. R e g u l a r l y, of course.

John Hill said:.............................There is one way I reduce the chance of pain. As soon as I feel it coming on, I have a little alcohol (some say brandy is best, but since I can't stand hard liquor, I'll go with beer or some liqueur). It gets things moving faster, so I've managed to stave off the pain quite a few times.

I'll give that a shot next time 😁 I'll grab myself a 'beercan' and just wait 🙂
gotta try everything 👍

Great, I'll give it another watch.
Yeah, it's not like Jack Tom is suddenly some untouchable icon. But honestly, watching
the way he evolves in this show, he becomes so Ebenezer it's actually wild 👍
plus that slightly psychotic stare...
🙂
Hey, hey, shadowgardener12, yes, exactly—it’s all psychological...
For instance, now that I've quit smoking, I have whole grain crackers with my morning coffee 😁
but the feeling is so much better...
I honestly don't know how I ever managed to smoke—likely because
in certain situations, it seems appropriate, and you just fail (or refuse) to realize
that you are actually buying stinky cigarettes just to light them up and inhale
that foul smoke into your body🙄

Don't mess with me...
Anyway, I happened to stumble upon that movie and I actually loved it...
And that Long guy in that film... just something out of this world🙂

Did nobody catch it?
It was airing on Hallmark

Yesterday I finally caught the sequel to 'Sink or Swim'—it’s this wild blend of romance and crime thriller
set on the New York-Los Angeles route
one of the leads is played by that Australian actor Tom Long, and honestly, he is absolute perfection 🙏
if you've seen it, you know what I mean...
even though both parts clock in at 105 minutes, the movie keeps you completely hooked 🙂
Cold feet? in Health ·
My feet have always been freezing pretty much all year round, except during the summer months 😍, but ever since I moved from the coast to the Midwest—you know, moving inland—I barely deal with cold feet anymore because everywhere here
has decent heating. It’s all central heat, usually set to around 72 or 73 degrees, which is my sweet spot 🙂
If I'm in a room where the temperature drops below 72, my feet almost instantly
go ice cold. And once your feet are frozen, you're basically an ice cube 👎

When I go skiing: after two hours on the slopes, my feet are numb. I head into an indoor
heated lodge, peel off my ski boots to warm up my feet, grab a snack, have a little
something hot, and then head back out onto the trail

redcrane5 said:If the smell of fishy Omega-3 really bothers you, just switch to flaxseed oil instead. It's just as effective as fish oil, and you won't have to deal with that nasty aftertaste if you take it during a meal.

Thanks for the tip.
Taking them during meals is key.
Sandra Hayes88 said:Those "whatever-they-are" capsules? They're just fish oil.
My mother was given fish oil by her grandparents on a spoon—it tasted absolutely revolting—even though she grew up in a coastal town where her grandfather was a commercial fisherman.
It’s essentially the same fish oil, just encapsulated in gelatin softgels to mask the aftertaste.
My parents used to give me those Omega-3 softgels back when I was a kid.

And now you’re big, healthy, and happy. 🙂
Angela Rodriguez2 said:I can't say here because people will think I'm just advertising; send me a private message with your email and I'll get back to you. 👋

Thanks, Enivey. Basically, I started taking my Omega-3 with food and they seem fine. Just one a day. No real noticeable effect yet.🙄
Struggling to sleep? Any tips? in Health ·
Anthony Miller13, since you’re dealing with these sleep issues like so many others
if it’s truly interfering with your daily life, then you have to take action....😉

you're at that age where it's all about 'partying until sunrise,'
sleeping in late, which eventually wrecks the whole 'mechanism'...
some people handle it fine, others don't

as for waking up before the alarm—for someone who sticks to a consistent schedule, it eventually becomes automatic, so
that 'internal biological' clock starts working on its own; it gets 'set' to, say, 7 or 8 hours of sleep and the body wakes up at the same
time every day. Consistency is key.
Thanks for all the input, everyone 👋

I suspect that smell from the pearls/capsules might have gotten stronger because they were just sitting there too long.
I didn't dare take them, fearing I'd spend
the whole day with that fish oil taste lingering in my mouth and throat. 🙂

I'll try taking the Omega-3 pearl during a meal instead—
right alongside some food.

Mine are from Nature's Bounty. And by the way, Angela Rodriguez2, which Omega Pearl are you talking about
that contains essential oils?
Struggling to sleep? Any tips? in Health ·
Beyond all that, one should ideally spend at least
half an hour to an hour daily moving in the fresh air—walking, running, or
other physical activities (avoiding evenings)
Now, during winter, when days are short, the grind of work, college
and everything else makes this nearly impossible unless it's the weekend—provided there isn't some
terrible weather.....🙄

One ought to rise and retire at roughly the same time every day; essentially, practicing good 'sleep hygiene.'

Otherwise, there is a specific 'protocol' for tackling insomnia, though
it is by no means easy to follow:
For about three to four weeks, you must go to bed at midnight and wake up at
6 AM. You have to get out of bed even if you feel 'shattered,' and absolutely no
napping before midnight, even if you feel 'dead on your feet.' Just hit the sack at midnight....
😲
Eventually, the regimen is slightly relaxed—aiming for seven to eight hours of sleep....
I don't recall the exact details, but it’s something like that. Generally speaking, you need
willpower of steel. After sleeping only six hours a night for two or three weeks, you aren't
just exhausted; you become irritable, which affects your job, your surroundings, and everything else. 😈
I have an open bottle of Omega-3 capsules with a valid expiration date through late 2026, but ever since I opened it, the whole thing smells like straight fish
oil....😛
The reason is I started taking them nine months ago, then
stopped, and now there's still quite a lot left in the bottle.
Have these capsules maintained their quality, considering that this
smell is so noticeable? Also, will they cause any issues or just leave me with
fishy breath all day long? 🙂
😁
