Did you see an endocrinologist or just your primary care physician
at the practice?
I’ve dealt with low blood pressure my entire life.
Over the last decade, I’ve actually fainted three times.
Twice, it happened in crowded,
smoky environments—and I was a smoker back then.
I quit cigarettes two months ago (it happened suddenly after
a major life turning point), and they are definitely bad for you when
your blood pressure is acting up like this.
I suspect it's hereditary; you just have to understand your own body
and know how to manage those moments.
When I feel dizzy, I sit down immediately. Ideally, one should lie down
and elevate the legs.
Make sure to eat breakfast; complex carbohydrates from
grains are usually best since they aren't "quick" sugars.
If you feel lightheaded, a little red wine with
a spoonful of sugar can help (that was my grandmother's old remedy).
Someone mentioned the thyroid—it’s possible hormone levels
are slightly off, though a doctor might not flag it
if the numbers still fall within the standard clinical range.
