Hannah Davis18 said:I honestly can't pretend to know what's going through her conscience.
But I’m sticking to my guns here—pregnancy should be a choice you actually want; there’s no point in going through labor just because you physically can or because you have the means...
Maybe her previous kids already drained her dry, or she’s just ready to get back to her career and is done with having more children altogether.

Everyone has their own reasons, and if those reasons feel heavy enough to lead to an abortion, then they are... someone who can't live with their conscience won't go through with it, and that's the end of the story.

Exactly.

Just to be clear, I am fundamentally opposed to abortion, but at the same time, I am completely for a woman's right to make decisions about her own body.

😕

I find it hard to believe that any reason could ever be enough of a motive for an abortion.

😕 You're being a bit contradictory, don't you think?

Sean Grant85 said:And what about conscience? It’s easy enough to talk about teenagers facing an unexpected situation, but it’s a harder pill to swallow when married women—who already have great support systems—simply decide they don't want any more kids and opt for an abortion. If you look at the actual statistics, abortions happen much more frequently among married women than among teenagers.

Look, a woman isn't just some biological machine designed for reproduction—if she's done having kids, she's done. Period. And it's not quite as simple as "just not wanting more"... maybe try actually raising a child once, then you might have a clue what you're talking about...

When you bring up "conscience," how do you end up using it as an excuse for getting a woman pregnant when she didn't want to be? What, is your conscience suddenly spotless because of that? Should you have been more careful so she wouldn't have ended up pregnant in the first place? A woman isn't the only one responsible for the pregnancy, yet she's the only one who has to deal with the fallout—the guy can just pack his bags and walk away whenever he feels like it, while the woman left with a massive baby bump basically has no other choice...

Sean Grant85 said:How should we view parents who have two or three kids—or maybe just one and they don't want any more—but then contraception fails? They clearly have the means to support another child, but the woman has already made up her mind and opts for an abortion. What’s your take on them?

It’s as if she feels she's had enough children already. What do you guys think? Especially when they’re in what looks like a perfectly stable marriage...

What would I think? Honestly, they have every right to decide their own path... my view is that no child should ever be born into a situation where they aren't wanted—that's a recipe for misery, plain and simple. Besides, there are far too many "perfect" marriages out there that are really just a facade😉

Peter Myers29 said:And those are what...? Maybe you have arguments, but it’s obvious you just can't handle anyone who disagrees with you.

Generally speaking, you can't argue with taste.

Let's not resort to throwing insults or digging into private lives just because we're running out of actual points to make... Mind your own business. My personal life and my choices don't concern you—not that you have any right to judge whether they're "good" or not. Besides, that's not even the topic of this discussion.

You don't need to take a bite of the cake to know it's sweet. And as for the blind, sometimes they see things more clearly than certain "geniuses" with perfectly good eyesight who miss what's right in front of them because their egos are blocking the view.

The fact that you're inexperienced is proven by your habit of using double standards. Digging into someone's personal life seems to be your specialty—you actually dared to comment on my wife, whom you've never even met. So, you went after someone who wasn't even part of the conversation in the first place!👎

I don't care about your decisions or your private life, BUT you also have no business commenting on her decisions from the very start. You felt entitled to critique her character and her actions... and then you cry when you get burned. 😁 Don't try to play in a league you aren't ready for. It's that simple.
A young, healthy guy around, say, 25, isn't exactly normal if he doesn't have a sex drive, regardless of who he finds attractive.

A woman is going to have an abortion with or without your permission, but while you're busy moralizing to everyone else, you're wasting time you could spend dealing with your own mess. It's a practical solution, really... 😉

LeeLooo said:A friend of mine—her period was about 10 days late, but honestly, since her cycle is always all over the place, she wasn't 'too' worried at first.

She took a test today, and unfortunately, it was positive. (She even went out and bought one of those expensive ones and used her first morning sample)

She's 18, she has her high school graduation tomorrow, and college entrance exams are in three weeks... yeah, right. She’s supposed to be focused on studying day and night...
The guy is a total jerk who doesn't seem to care one bit...

Can anyone tell me what a miscarriage actually looks like around the 6-week mark? ...She's terrified it'll involve heavy bleeding and intense pain, because apparently, some girl she knows went through...

If anyone could DM me a recommendation for a good gynecologist, or just some info on this... 😢

LeeLooo, what city is she in? We need to find a doctor nearby.

Peter Myers29 said:1. It’s honestly fascinating how people start hunting for excuses to tear someone down once they run out of actual arguments. Usually, they just go after age. Since I'm younger, apparently I don't have a clue... If I happened to be older than him, I'd probably be labeled old and senile too, wouldn't I?

2. I wouldn't even give someone like that the time of day... 😁

3. Exactly. And what's wrong with being a virgin? At least he's showing how his mind works—without having to worry about STIs or (accidental) offspring.

1. I have plenty of arguments—you're the one who started judging people, funny how you don't like it when people do the same thing back to you.

2. This comment is irrelevant here.
3. Judging by your views on sex, you're probably better off staying a virgin. 😁 Sex is a hell of a lot better than diseases and kids, though I certainly don't have an issue with having kids with the right woman.🙂
Because otherwise, you'll just find some innocent girl and lecture her about being "corrupt" because she wants a little pleasure... 😁

Age isn't inherently discriminatory, but let's face it—certain years bring certain experiences. When a virgin tries to lecture me on what sex is actually like, it feels like a blind man trying to describe the house in front of him. It just doesn't work...

Carl Hernandez2 said:1. Matthew Sullivan, you really are a genius. You look at the name Toco and somehow deduce that Toco must be under 25... what a stretch...

2. Honestly, man, it seems like hooking up doesn't mean anything to you anymore. Does anything actually matter in your life?

3. Look, the women you claim to "meet" wouldn't give you the time of day—and I get the feeling Toco isn't even interested in your type of girls anyway...

4. You're confusing fantasy with reality. But you're old and burnt out. Movies and imagination have warped your perspective. You try too hard, but it’s never enough—you feel this constant need to compete with people who, ironically, don't even have their own convictions...

5. It's better to be a decent guy than some poser like Matthew Sullivan. You're just a product of society. Not a real person, but something manufactured in those Hollywood factories of pure fiction. People like you are the ones who project insecurities onto Toco. Then again, you're the one talking about complexes. I wonder what kind of dreams you have at night—"oh man, how many more girls do I need to sleep with to finally be cool—as cool as my idols"...

1. To be honest, I didn't even look closely at his username, nor is that really the point, but thanks for the compliment, I guess...

2. Well, age is just a number...😁

3. Fine, but let's not call each other "friend." We aren't going to grab a beer together anytime soon, and it's probably better that way...

4. 😁

5. 😁

What can I say, you pretty much read me for filth... 🤣 Every little scratch on the wall of my bachelor pad is just another notch on my ego... 😁
Don't bother checking in on me late at night; I'm exhausted enough to sleep like a baby... 😉

Cheers... 😁

Peter Myers29 said:What can you actually learn about a person during a month or two of surface-level dating? I've noticed that most modern relationships—especially between people who are physically attractive—are basically just weekend trips to a club (always the same spot, the same crowd, a bit of flirting in the dark)... and then once things unexpectedly shift, the problems start—which is just code for a breakup. Usually, it happens when the image isn't quite as perfect as people imagined it to be (say, a baby enters the picture). It’s a pathetic kind of love if a minor complication can destroy it entirely.

.......... And the sincere guys, the ones who actually care about a girl, are usually the ones left empty-handed.

.....
The fact that some women judge a "perfect" man solely on his physical attributes—specifically his "equipment"—rather than his actual character says enough about their intellect and maturity. They go through dozens of guys over their lifetime, better and worse, only to end up pregnant—often by accident—with the guy who has the best physique but the worst personality... someone who doesn't even have the guts to step up and deal with the kid he made, leaving them to handle it alone just so he doesn't ruin his reputation as a big player.

Your post makes me think you aren't much older than 25, and in those 25 years, you haven't spent much time with women.

I'm guessing even two months of dating wouldn't be enough time for you to actually get with a woman.

Or maybe it's this obsession with meeting people at clubs... I don't know how old you are, but I haven't stepped foot in a club in years, and yet I still meet women.

You're confusing infatuation with actual love. You're young. And what's really bothering you is that you can't figure out what would come naturally for a man your age.

All this talk about "real soul qualities" that women supposedly don't care about 😁 , and how honest guys don't stand a chance because they're too polite... to me, it just seems like you're still a boy... and the women who actually enjoy sex are just giving you complexes.😉

Ashley Nguyen5, I think I totally misread you at first—now I see what kind of shoes you're talking about. Not a bad choice... 🙂 If they don't work out, you can always just flip them on Facebook Marketplace 😁

What I’ve been wondering for a while now is this—how does a woman, a young person, regardless of age, even end up in bed with someone who, when an unplanned pregnancy actually happens, just leaves her to deal with it entirely on her own?!

You only get into bed with someone after you’ve put them through months of vetting—consulting your old buddy, your best friend, maybe two or three therapists... and if they all decide she’s too unstable, then you back off again.

Then you come crawling here. Why do women sleep with jerks? Because apparently, that’s just what’s written in your destiny.
And honestly, even a guy who’s mostly decent can act like a complete idiot when things get sudden and messy...

Ashley Nguyen5 said:😕 it all really started with a simple leg massager...

😁 Look, those massagers aren't a bad investment—but if you actually want to stop the swelling, you need something that reaches up to the knees, hitting the calves properly. And why stop at a massager? You could just get a massage tub or a high-end shower head. There are some incredible massage showers out there now—think floor-to-ceiling pillars with programmable jets that hit specific tempos. Throw in some essential oils and you’ve basically got an instant aromatherapy session. Honestly, I didn't buy into all that stuff myself until recently... for a long time, a fancy shower stall just looked like a prop from a sci-fi spaceship to me. 😉

Seriously, what is with this sudden outburst? Even a woman in her final weeks of pregnancy isn't usually this high-strung... honestly, seeing this makes me wonder what kind of energy is lurking in my own house right now. 🙂

1) I don't follow her shows because they're boring—and look, how would I know they're boring if I didn't try watching a few clips with my eyes wide open? I managed to last longer than she did, which probably means she's smarter than me... I guess.

Oprah, but I have every right to state my opinion about her show (which really just means her).

Fine. By that logic, I have every right to analyze and criticize you, too. It’s not like you’ve ever met Oprah, nor do I actually know you... I hope you see how pointless this is.

If you don't have anything intelligent to say besides: "just change the channel."

But see, to me, that's actually quite smart. To you, it seems smarter to just get worked up over nothing, I suppose. Besides, do you really value your time so little that you

Look, as a consumer, I have the right to express my opinion about a product that's forced upon me twice a day for an hour at a time.

In that case, you shouldn't be watching anything else if all you want to do is listen to that nonsense... 😁 And this isn't a discussion about TV programming, it's about ethics and morality.

Ignorance and turning a blind eye to the facts aren't traits of intelligent people. This woman spews nonsense wrapped up nicely in her persona and her work. And here you are, defending her when you don't even know the first thing about her. Yet you make sure to brag about being a tough guy on Cindy. Someone I didn't even mention.

The mark of an intelligent person is knowing how to pick their battles and not wasting energy on trivialities. A truly intelligent—and let's say, moral—person doesn't tear down someone who can't defend themselves here. Why don't you just take all these posts of yours and email them directly to Oprah? It would certainly be a more effective way to reach everyone involved.
Good grief, I'm not defending Oprah as a person; I'm defending ANYONE who gets trashed without knowing it or having a way to respond. I'd defend you, too, if someone were dragging your name through the mud on some random internet forum without you even realizing it.

You choose your own victims and aggressors. Oprah is just a convenient outlet for you to vent whatever is bothering you, instead of taking it out on the people or things that actually upset you—which, most of the time, are the people in your immediate circle. But go ahead, take it out on Oprah... she won't bother replying.
😉

Look, you can rate it however you want—but the company I’m talking about has been around way longer than that American firm of yours, and they have a much better reputation to show for it. You’re busy defending your own side while dragging everyone else through the mud...

To add to that—Saint Bernard and dozens of companies just like them have been around for over a century. They’ve built up a business reputation through actual smart strategy... something the Democratic Party can only dream of.

A solid product will always find its way to the consumer—they don't need fancy MLM schemes, massive ad budgets, or endless marketing gimmicks to make it happen. My mother has been using their stuff for thirty years now. You can't just pick them up at a local drugstore here in the States, but you can certainly track them down... They aren't out there promising miracles, they don't overcharge, and they aren't trying to recruit you into some "business opportunity." As for me, Ashley Nguyen5, I’m stepping away from the Democratic Party discussions for a while—I've had my fill of the entertainment...

Betty Hill82 said:Well, fine—if everyone’s handing out bad advice, I might as well join in...

By the way, I’m not complaining anymore; I’m spitting venom. I moved past the victim stage a long time ago. Now, I’m just being Aggressive.

Rachel Brooks63 didn't actually give you bad advice. When something on TV bothers me—which doesn't happen often since I rarely turn the thing on anyway—I don't sit there letting it get to me. My time is too valuable for that. I either change the channel or just shut the damn thing off, which is usually the smartest move...

The whole "spitting venom" and being an aggressor instead of a victim isn't any better, either. It’s just two sides of the same coin. Both ways are pretty toxic. As far as you're concerned, who cares about Oprah...

Betty Hill82 said:First off: she’s turned her entire persona and lifestyle into a product she markets through her shows and magazine. So, as a consumer, I have every right to voice my opinion on a product being shoved in my face twice a day for an hour at a time.

Dodo, honestly, how many Oprah specials have you actually watched? Have you ever even held one of her magazines? Ever stepped foot on her official website to read anything?

I’d suggest you try sitting through a single season of her show—if you can actually stomach it (or if you already have🙂—then maybe we can have a real conversation about her on the "General Discussion" or "TV" boards. If you're really that invested in defending her from my critiques.

👋

How is she imposing a product on you? Watching her show is a choice you make yourself. Just change the channel if it irritates you; you're only hurting your own time, not hers.
But hey, if that makes you feel better....

update...I didn't notice that nimbledriver81 already replied 😁 (nimbledriver81, I think we're on the same page)😉

jadesailor14 said:Just drive up to Denver and hit the shops on the way.
You’ll blow enough cash to buy 25 kilos of that healing HL powder.
And by day two, you'll feel like someone strapped fifty-kilo steel weights to your ankles—each one.
Online ordering? Please.

Exactly. Sure, for us in the city, Denver isn't exactly a trek, but I recommend it so often that certain people have started giving me grief about it... 😁 Plus, there's plenty of other good stuff nearby—IKEA is right there, along with HiM and Media Markt... jadesailor14 is actually a client of mine—she’s an expectant mother who was on strict bed rest for a long time, so online ordering is really her only option.

Here’s one option I came across

And honestly, looking at these online deals—this is actually the pricier version

A woman I know and a colleague from my office used to order this stuff together—it was pretty pricey, and I think shipping alone ran about $13—so they just split the cost down the middle. Plus, some local pharmacies, especially those specialty herbal shops, will just ship it right to your door at the standard retail price without tacking on extra fees...

jadesailor14 said:If you get the chance, pick up some omega 3 and 6 capsules while you're in Austria—they're those little gelatin softgels, I can't recall the exact term right now.
It's way, way cheaper over there.

A massage would definitely help you out. Not a miracle cure, obviously, but it’d make things easier...

Exactly, they're those yellowish gelatinous ones—if that description even makes sense. 😁 Ashley Nguyen5, I wasn't talking about those boots I mentioned earlier, more like socks... I think we might be on different pages. Besides, stuff like this is always cheaper abroad because there are dozens of companies competing for the same market—competition actually works in the consumer's favor for once.🙂

I'm not trying to run an ad campaign for specific brands here; I just want to point out the DRASTIC difference between something genuinely high-quality and some cheap, useless junk.

Avoid making sweeping generalizations... the companies I'm talking about have been around much longer than your typical American startup, and they actually have better reputations. You defend your own interests while tearing down everyone else's... 👎

nimbledriver81 said:I was an unplanned child—born into a legal marriage, technically, but still unwanted. Personally, I’m against abortion. It isn't my fault that I ended up with the parents I have. Nobody asked me if I wanted to exist in the first place, yet here I am. Living. For some reason I can't quite wrap my head around, I was given a chance...

Okay, I get where you're coming from, and you put it pretty clearly. Even if I were against abortion myself, I wouldn't feel entitled to judge a woman for making that choice—I have no clue what her circumstances actually are. But you're right... most people would rather be here than not...
