American women are getting sexier in Health ·
Are you just copying those "a thousand reasons why, a thousand reasons why" tropes from somewhere else? 😁

Sarah Cruz2, it’s good of you to be the one in the family actually trying to make things easier for your sister. I won't try to scare you, but honestly—negative thinking when dealing with a disease like this... it doesn't lead anywhere good. Are you guys living in the same city? Try to visit her or give her a call every single day. Maybe send her some upbeat little notes she can read whenever things get heavy and you aren't right there next to her. I don't know how old your sister is, but maybe try having an honest conversation with her—just tell her that Mom is the one really struggling here and that she shouldn't listen too closely, because Mom is making mistakes...

Fine, you've given your input, shared your info, dropped your links, now do us all a favor and back off with the massive, soul-crushing copy-paste walls of text cluttering up the thread. Show at least a shred of empathy. Or decency. Some level of restraint. The bare minimum, really.

Exactly.

The title of this forum is HEALTH, after all.

Yeah, sure—except your posts seem more suited for the Economics sub-forum.

Jose Miller3 said:While we were prepping and drinking that concoction, our oncologists actually advised us NOT to add honey. The reasoning was pretty straightforward—and honestly, quite logical: honey is incredibly nutrient-dense, packed with all sorts of nutritional value. Every single cell in our bodies benefits from it, especially the ones that divide at lightning speed. And which cells are those? Metastatic cells, of course. Several doctors suggested cutting out honey entirely, especially since my mom had such a good appetite right up until the very end...

So, there's my experience, just so you guys are aware...

Hmm, makes sense.

Justin Gonzalez87 said:Just toss 20 decagrams of carrots, apples, and fresh beets into a juicer. Add enough honey to match whatever amount of juice you end up with. Take a few spoonfuls every day.
Supposedly great for the immune system—though I say "supposedly" because I haven't actually tried it myself... just what some herbalist recommended.

Good luck 🙂

Thanks for the tip 🙂 honey goes in there too, I forgot to mention that.

To boost up your immune system, just grate some fresh beets, an apple, and some carrots—ideally if you have a juicer handy—and mix it all together. Drink about half a liter or more of that every single day. One of my older relatives actually used this to "bounce back" after every flare-up... they were dealing with multiple sclerosis.

And honestly, forget about suddenly jumping headfirst into vegetarianism. This isn't the time for someone to overhaul their entire diet overnight, especially not by switching exclusively to plants. You can still eat meat—it doesn't have to be some breaded schnitzel; think boiled chicken breast, turkey, fish, or even a small piece of lean veal.

👍 The thing is, I usually just take the black pill straight😁 without all the dissolving nonsense. Ever since then, it’s been a permanent fixture in my home and travel first-aid kit...

I actually went through the trouble of getting a lead analysis done on some carrots and lettuce I bought once 😱—and this was from a stand just a few hundred yards off the I-95

Spot on.

I actually liked the American entry on its own merit—the song itself was fine. My only issue was that Novkovic seemed a bit lost on stage... those backing vocals were top-tier, though. As for that clown doing handstands? He was just a distraction... who even is that kid?

True enough. 😁 Inace, I didn't vote, but if I had, it would’ve been for forever mine. It's a solid track; I actually burned it to a CD last night along with Novkovic. You guys really need to move past this shallow, small-town patriotism... it just makes you look ridiculous.

The Canadians are absolute losers—best song, best performance, and still nothing... just zero.

That Canadian singer couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. You don't even need to be a pro to hear those massive, painful off-key notes she was hitting.

It's honestly gross how everyone sings in English now... the whole identity of these countries and their people just evaporates. That used to be the entire point of Eurovision... I actually liked it when Novkovic sang in his native language.

I'm with you on that.

but I doubt Greece will pull it off

😁 everyone’s moved past leaning on ethnic vibes—except maybe those Canadian men who still cling to Abbu😁

The first time I heard that track... it felt like I’d already heard it a hundred times. It’s like they just stitched ten different Abbu songs together and called it a day...

It’s basically just a cover of one specific song. Any guesses which one?

you can only trust the local farmers' markets—and even then, only from those specific women we know are basically scavengers, picking up whatever they plan to sell us from the dirt...

The Majority of maidens at those weekend markets aren't some kind of quality guarantee either. It doesn't matter how friendly or wholesome they look—half of them are probably buying their stock at 5:00 AM from a wholesale distributor and then turning around to sell it to you at a premium with a shaky hand... 😉

nimbledriver81 said:I’m against GMO foods—purely on ethical grounds. Looking at it from a professional standpoint, GMO tech can be useful, I get that—but I’m terrified of how these massive corporations abuse their expertise. It's basically a rigged game: "You give us all the profit, and in exchange, we'll give you sterile seeds and overpriced pesticides."
I don't know if I can always avoid it, but I try...

The real kicker is when you plant those manipulated seeds—the ones they hand out for free during the first year—and then suddenly the next batch is obscenely expensive. Once you've planted that stuff, traditional seeds won't perform nearly as well—I've seen studies backing that up—so what's left? Farmers are stuck buying those pricey seeds over and over again. They become completely dependent because they can't produce them themselves. It's just modern-day slavery, American style...

Grace Flores85 said:Basically, would you eat genetically modified food—both plants and animals? Would you actually buy products labeled that way? What’s your general take on the whole thing?

Why phrase it as a hypothetical? We’re already buying and eating it—sometimes we know, sometimes we don't... If I actually had a choice, sure, I'd steer clear of it. But choices aren't always on the table, are they? It makes you wonder how much control we'll even have left in the future...

Well, that’s still a valid question... 😁 I updated the usernames. I was actually referring to Ashley Nguyen5 😳...

mistybear4, math is my field, so let's not get messy with the numbers... I've dealt with this before—my old lady used to swear by Herbalife products, and I've read all those flashy marketing gimmicks they put out. You might want to lay off those shakes of yours for a bit, because you're acting a little too aggressive 😁 even for an MLM practitioner.

Rachel Brooks63 said:Look, Casey Palmer5, if you’re actually going to threaten him, then just ban him already—don't just sit there...

I mean, seriously, he has crossed absolutely every line imaginable. I think he should be permanently removed from the group—if he doesn't change after a ban, which we all know he won't—but at least we should try.

It used to be that anyone could recommend a product they liked every now and then. But what this guy is doing is systematically exploiting the Forum for his own business interests—which might pass if he had any sense of decency, but he clearly doesn't. There are limits. And the limit is playing doctor on the internet and trying to "treat" people with protein powders. Those powders aren't bad for certain things—like dietary supplements and all that—but they are EXTREMELY BAD when you try to use them to treat someone who is actually sick.

By the way, mistybear4, I know I can be a bit thick-headed or blunt from time to time, but that shouldn't stop me—if my stupidity counts for anything—from warning Enigma not to take medical advice from people like you. (And I believe she knows better; she's a smart woman.) I see you're trying, but this manic obsession isn't going to get you anywhere. Not in any business.
Enigma, I'm rooting for you!🙂

Beyond just lacking any sense of ethics, you've become genuinely dangerous—dangerous to other people's health. If you were treating your livestock, you wouldn't try to "cure" anorexia by just feeding them more food; you’d realize they need actual help, not just a bigger trough. Yet here you are, suggesting people vomit up old food like it's some kind of solution. Honestly, how do you live with yourself, targeting people during the absolute worst moments of their lives just to peddle snake oil? We all know that when someone is sick and desperate, they'll grab at anything... but it's a different level of low when you convince someone to ignore medical advice, only for them to end up in the ER a few days later because they listened to you instead of a doctor. You won't care then... you'll have already fed the pigs 👎

Ashley Nguyen5 said:I feel absolutely terrible—it’s been about 15 days now and neither my stomach nor the rest of my digestive tract is working properly. I’m actually throwing up food I ate three or four days ago. I’ve tried senna tea, magnesium citrate, Beano... nothing helps.
Does anyone have any actual, sensible advice?

Well, I was going to suggest magnesium citrate or dried prunes—stuff you usually try when you're just backed up—but since you're also vomiting, you need to see a doctor immediately. Don't sit around waiting until Monday to deal with this...
