That beautiful Miami night in Movies ·
I figured the whole thing wasn't going to hold up—mostly because I caught a glimpse of the wire holding it together, thanks to some idiot in the projection booth who clearly has no clue what they're doing.

Yeah, and I probably would've noticed sooner if I hadn't been too busy rolling my eyes. 🙄

Yeah, the movie really pulses—it's mesmerizing. And the scenes are staged incredibly🙂 funny, at least for me. But the script feels cheap from time to time—you know, like that bit with Coolio playing the heart-wounded soldier—though he played it so convincingly I almost teared up. Nivea and that little girl, what was she trying to do for the first time on New Year's Eve? Their acting honestly offends my feminist soul. Seriously, don't be such pussies, girls.
The film is honestly saved by how beautiful and trippy it is, but if I were watching it a second time, it would probably just irritate me.
I actually liked the ending. Being naive, I fully expected Luke to just jump and crash—which would have been tasteless—but then they saved it... which was the whole point.

Ahaaa. So I finally catch this post.

ˇJust who’s the predator and who’s the plaything?ˇ

It’s cute how you try to stake your claim,
acting like you actually run the show,
which is exactly why you’ll end up dangling from some dead tree
if you ask me.

I honestly hope a scavenger finds you eventually
and tears you apart.

I feel for you, really—since you’ve already hit rock bottom
and fully grasp how much of a mess this is.
And here’s the kicker:
I’m just some easy target for you to pocket,
but I’m certainly not part of your inner circle.

So, call it my paranoia if you want, but I'm not buying into your delusions.
You act like you don't trust anyone, but I saw it coming from mile one:
I was never going to be the one you truly cared for.

It isn't anyone's fault,
it’s just that the scales aren't even.
Our timing would have been a disaster anyway.

And this clown
is just looking for a cozy little bubble to hide in.

So, don't bother trusting me.

****
Don't think I'm untouched by this.
I'll probably always be wondering—
if that twitchy stranger passing me on the street is somehow linked to you.
*****

Catch you later, by the way. 🙂.

No problem. Just like Alicia Keys said—you don't even know my name. ;D

THAT IS SO SWEET
AND I’D LOVE TO LICK YOUR FEET
EAT YOUR SHIT
AND BE YOUR MEAT

BUT SUGARBOY😉, DEAR,
(I REALLY HATE DOING THIS)
- I AM TIED TO SOMETHING ELSE
AND I HAVE TO PASS - 🙂

IF MY POINT ISN'T CLEAR ENOUGH
I DO FEEL YOU LURKING SOMEWHERE NEARBY
BUT I HAVE TO WATCH MY BACK.

Trust me on this—it’s just not a good idea.
I’m right. You’re moving way too fast, getting ahead of yourself, and missing the point entirely.

Yours truly,
Idiot bitch.

P.S. I’M NO Tart
YOU JUST BRING THAT SIDE OUT🙂

Best movie title ever? in Movies ·
I’ve always been a sucker for titles like "I Know What You Did Last Summer." There's just something about those punchy, evocative hooks that works for me. Does it matter if the title is lifted straight from a book, though? Like "The Silence of the Lambs"—is that considered cheating, or is it still cool?
Annual Lists in Music ·
It's a little clearer now, I guess. Though, honestly, I still don't really get it. It's not like this kind of stuff happens to me every day. 🙂

How intriguing.

Kinky +4.

Mean and wicked.

Suspicious as hell.

But smooth, baby 😉. Woof woof. If you play your cards right, maybe I'll name one of my vibrators after you—actually, I think I'm just adapting to you at this point, basically losing myself, which is pretty cute.

The whole thing feels psychotically cute. A couple of messages and you're already talking about my tits and boobs 😉. Uh. Charming, perverted psychopaths 😉—definitely the worst kind.

pyglet, I honestly have no idea what you're trying to say here.

don't wanna be ya, wake up!! because your head's on fire. interesting mind, though.

i appreciate the analysis—(nonsense isn't exactly new to me)—but i know my own head, i know my own feet. and my boobs. that was 🙂, you notorious p.y.g., not even remotely kinky 😉.

me? i can't even decide who i want to be. if something is actually worth losing, then it must be worth something.

Emily Castillo81 says:
I’m literally reading today's Dnevnik—the usual top lists from those local journalists, Dragaš, Perković, Grgić, Denis Leskovar, and the rest...

Well, thank God. I was starting to think Denis Leskovar had also fallen into that whole "pseudo-intellectual Leonard Cohen wannabe" phase, listening to some posthumous funeral march by Nick Cave just to feel deep. But today's front page says otherwise—he didn't make the top 5. He actually included REM, so I guess there's still someone left we can grab a beer with at a concert. 😁.

Give me a break. You hate it when Nick gets too much attention, but honestly, who is more exposed than him? He's pure, easy-listening mainstream😉. I mean, people listen to him, sure, but he's basically background noise for everyone.
Radiohead sucks in Music ·
Honestly, their songwriting is actually pretty solid. It’s a shame I can’t bring myself to listen to them.

But Thom Yorke’s vocals... man, he’s got one of those voices that should have been great, but just ends up being the worst.
Visiting a psychiatrist in Health ·
In my experience, Rebro is a total disaster. Then again, I might have just had terrible luck hitting three psychiatrists—make that five if you count the ones who basically just hand out prescriptions and kick you out. Good grief.
😲

I mean, that was what, four or five years ago? Maybe things have changed since then. Though, honestly, I highly doubt it.

And yeah, fair point—maybe I am asking for too much.

Shout out to Dr. cosmicmaker92. No, we don't actually know each other, but still.

Clearly, decent psychiatrists just don't exist.

Sorry.

If you're looking for someone younger, maybe try Modus (info below). I've got no idea if they're actually any good—but hey, it’s free.

Losing Chase in Movies ·
Just go to Google and search "Helen Mirren" biography...

Thanks. I get it—I just couldn't find it on my first few tries. I figured someone here would either know it offhand or have a better way of searching than my attempt at typing "helen mirren lesbian" into the search bar, which didn't exactly get me where I wanted to go. 🙂

But anyway, here it is—finally found out what it was:

Losing Chase (1996)
Starring: Helen Mirren, Kyra Sedgwick
Director: Kevin Bacon
Synopsis: Low-key, slow-paced, feminist-tinged drama about deepening relationship between "mother's helper" and woman recovering from nervous breakdown. A treat for fans of offbeat, intimate character portraits and lyrical, bittersweet love stories.
Runtime: 92 minutes

I remember being totally captivated by this movie. It’s one of those films that really pulls at you—heavy emotional engagement with a bittersweet aftermath.
To me, that film stands as proof that I am definitely bisexual
Losing Chase in Movies ·
It stars Helen Mirren. She falls for this younger blonde who comes to work for her family—a housekeeper or something along those lines. Then they start sharing these stolen glances, the tension builds, and they completely lose track of themselves whenever they're in the same room. They end up getting caught, then the son sees something and tells his dad... and then everything just falls apart.

I saw this a long time ago, so I'm not sure if the plot details are 100% spot on.
Side effects of mixing Paxil and Prozac? in Health ·
So I tried Paxil. I was on it for two weeks before I was supposed to have my follow-up, but since I was basically in a mental fog of my own making, I missed the appointment. I called the next day, only to have my psychiatrist—let’s call her Dr. Bear—tell me to just go find someone else. 👍

Then I stumbled upon some corner of the internet linking Paxil to breast cancer, which, honestly, felt like a relief at the time. Not that you can trust everything you read online—especially when those "studies" are pushed by some religious group that thinks taking psychiatric meds is somehow against God's will.

Those two weeks were brutal, though. The side effects were intense—this weird psycho-physiological mess. It felt like a manic episode that you just can't release. Just this constant tension in your head, like you're about to explode in a cramped room. That eventually turned into these massive headaches.

I finally realized I'm just overly sensitive to psychotropic drugs.

As for the weight gain—well, it had only been two weeks.

But from what I gather about psychopharmacology, higher serotonin levels are actually supposed to suppress appetite.

Did you actually put on weight because your appetite spiked, or does it just feel like you're eating the same amount but your metabolism has hit a wall?
Lately—for about three weeks now—I’ve been dealing with this relentless urge to eat, even though my stomach feels heavy and stuffed from everything I'm shoving into it. I just need to be snacking constantly. (And no, it isn't PMS; this happens right in the middle of my cycle.) My mom thinks it’s just a seasonal thing because autumn is rolling in. It’s driving me insane.

But, for some reason, the scale says I haven't actually gained any weight—even though I feel like I have.

I tried taking Zoloft once a while back—an antidepressant that's supposed to help with anxiety too. For a few days, I honestly couldn't eat a thing. Food just had zero appeal. But it didn't last long. After four or five days, my appetite just snapped back to normal. I ended up quitting the Zoloft pretty quickly anyway because I couldn't deal with the other side effects.
