Brendan Perry and Peter Murphy are coming to The Fillmore! 🙂

You really shouldn't have let that one slide—it's a big deal. 😛

"These are the European dates for now. Brendan will perform solo.

Peter Murphy will join in South America - dates/venues coming up."

looks like it doesn't 🤷
wow, absolutely stunning 🙂
do you happen to know how much the deposit might be?

People keep bringing up $67 how certain deposits on an "Erste" Visa Electron card are basically stuck in limbo—meaning you can't actually spend them, they just sit there staring at you from the account balance... so, I was wondering if it works the same way with a Bank of America foreign currency account, or am I actually free to spend everything I have in there?

😕

With Bank of America, you can spend whatever you have available.

mellowtrucker44 said:I just finished watching it. "Postal" is honestly a masterpiece of trash cinema—it’s so politically incorrect and completely unhinged that I know I’m going to be obsessed with it for a long time.

There’s even a cameo where Uwe Boll plays a Six Flags owner claiming his funding comes from stolen gold, only to get jumped by Vince Desiderio—the guy who actually created the Postal game—because the movie totally trashed his work. He screams, "For videogames!" right before shooting Boll in the groin.

The movie is packed with gags that true fans will definitely appreciate. Personally, I was laughing my head off. I can't wait to see the Unrated version.

There's an extended bit where Uwe says: "My father died in Auschwitz. He fell from a guard tower." 🤣🤣🤣🙏🙏🙏

Uwe is a legend!

Easily Uwe Boll's best work yet—and man, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

Harold Wright54 said:It’s funny—everyone on the My Morning Jacket forum was so hyped for the new record, then some legend comes along and starts a thread titled "make an MMJ discography list."

And for almost all the die-hard fans, *Euclid* was actually the last one they heard. Honestly? I recognized myself in that group.

Yeah, I checked out Mont de Sundu. It isn't exactly relaxing—but there's definitely a vibe there.

My list would just be chronological 🙂
True, I listened to Mont de Sundu. I gave it a couple of spins, but I don't really have a strong take on it yet.
By the way—you should check out Hotel Roy. It gives off those same Jimovo vibes. ugh. yeah.

Harold Wright54 said:It’s solid—I know people over on the MMJ forums are saying it's already hitting crazy prices on eBay, like $99 and up.

I hear you 🙂 but I'm a sucker for anything they put out

edit: though At Dawn is still my absolute favorite

Tennessee Fire is definitely their most laid-back record—that’s probably why it hits home for me (not that I don't dig the others, far from it). It's pretty cool how it was recorded live, too; there's a certain vibe to it that the other albums just don't have, plus Heartbreakin man btw is better on that one 🙂
Btw, what's your take on the new album?
I struggled with it at first—I hadn't listened to Z in a while because I was stuck on that first record, so switching to the recent stuff was a total shock. But after a few spins, it really started to grow on me.

I actually scored mine on eBay a few months back.
The seller totally messed up—he didn't mention it was the '99 pressing—so I grabbed it since it's easily one of my all-time favorite MMJ albums. Plus, I had no clue they were doing this reissue on colored vinyl. Honestly, sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
btw, today's new arrivals:
Flying Canyon - S/T CD
Grand Archives - S/T LP

I already have my own copy of that album—though mine is dated back to '99 🙂

Tennessee Fire and At Dawn

thanks to the US community 🙂

Did they reissue the first album—and on colored vinyl, no less?

I'm being dead serious—stop this livestream right now. I was up listening to this until 4:00 AM last night—man, I swear—and by 3:30, I was just staring out at the streets of Chicago feeling totally at peace. 😳

The way Mladen jumps onto that caustic pit while screaming at the kid—it’s honestly priceless.

Also, hearing Jim and Carl on the pedal steel toward the end... it made me think "evil urges" would sound incredible as an acoustic track.

And the Omnichord really deserves 🙏

even if Okonokos isn't bad either 🤷

acoustic Citsuoca ep

Probably the best live doc any band has ever put out—and that’s saying something, especially since it’s an acoustic set....
