Since I'm a woman, I'll go ahead and admit it—I was always a huge fan of Malmsteen 😍

Let's all just settle down and take it easy
Happy holidays to everyone 😍

Looks like my thread is heading straight to the trash bin

Let him bluff all he wants;
I'll be right there to poke fun at him too.😬
Michelle Johnson16 said:I know. More than a few. It’s interesting how those who actually put in the work manage to make a living from art, unlike those who spend all day wallowing in self-pity while fishing for sympathy from an audience.

For my part, I also know plenty of people who aren't exactly rolling in cash, yet they are incredibly happy just being able to earn a living doing what they love. And honestly, there aren't many people like that in the general population either.

So, how do you explain the fact that Pips are still around and even releasing albums? 😲 😲 😁

Pips? 🤣 Which albums?
shadowgardener12 said:How on earth did mistypanther manage to pull that off right in front of you? 😁 😂

😲 Do you honestly think my social life is limited to people on this forum?! 😬
🤣
I think you've got it all wrong.
Yes, I think that take on Jimi Hendrix is a bit much.
🤔A bit?
bluemaker said:Here is my take on all of this: I play the sax in my free time, and I even have a jazz band that performs occasionally. I take the extra money from my day job—which has nothing to do with music—and put it into investment funds and stocks. Once I’ve built up enough wealth to live solely off dividends and returns (hopefully within the next 10 years), I plan to transition into being a professional jazz musician.

As for the question of why we live in such a provincial place where absolute tastelessness is rewarded, I honestly don't know and I'm not particularly interested in finding out, but if that's the reality, then that's the reality. 🙂

Anyway, that's all for now; I'll check back in about 10 years. 😁

Well, that is certainly doable—working an eight-hour shift and playing music on the side.
I really admire those who managed to attend a music high school alongside a traditional academic or vocational school, and then went on to study law or medicine and still became professional musicians... hats off to them. 👍

So, the prerequisites are: initial capital, networking skills, social agility, luck, timing, immense hard work, and talent, of course.
Talent alone is useless if you aren't working on yourself every single day, and all of that is futile if you don't have the financial means.

Regarding jazz, there is a musician in my family (sax and clarinet), so I can tell you they actually made a living from it for a while... quite interesting, though that was back before the modern era.
I don’t have anything against Jimi Hendrix or Kurt Cobain...
My issue is with the mainstream pop stars on the American charts—people like Taylor Swift or Rolling Stone—they have more money than they know what to do with.

On the other hand, you have talented singers who refuse to sing garbage, and that's why they haven't made it big yet.
What exactly makes them the worst? Could I get some clarification on that?

That was absolutely intense; I remember it so clearly.
Despite all the confusion 😁
Elevated liver enzymes in Health ·
I once heard that elevated levels might point toward liver lesions, or maybe you just had one too many Cokes the day before!

Well, Morgan Parker5 is actually pretty great.

BUT WHERE IS THE JOY DIVISION!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s pretty obvious why wrong has that scorched, disheveled nickname and avatar—he’s from a rough part of New Jersey, and a real troublemaker at that!!😁
God bless you, darling.

Unbelievable. Once again, I've been categorized as male!!!! I can handle the Maidenhead stuff, but this... let's take a quick snapshot:
😁

I know it's over
and it never really began
but in my heart it was so real
It's so easy to laugh
it's so easy to hate
it takes strength to be gentle and kind
it's over, over, over
A dreaded sunny day
so I meet you at the cemetery gates
Keats and Yeats ara on Your side a dreaded sunny day sol i meet you AT The cemetery Gates Keats and Yeats ara on Your side while Wild is on mina sol WE
A dreaded sunny day
so I meet you at the cemetery gates
Keats and Yeats ara on Your side a dreaded sunny day sol i meet you AT The cemetery Gates Keats and Yeats ara on Your side while Wild is on mina sol WE
while Wilde is on mine
So we go inside and we gravely read the stones
all those people all those lives
where are they now?
with the loves and hates
and passions just like mine
they were born
and then they lived and then they died
seems so unfair
and I want to cry
The boy with the thorn in his side
behind the hatred there lies
a murderous desire for love
How can they look into my eyes
and still they don't believe me
how can they hear me say those words
and still they don't believe me
and if they don't believe me now
will they ever believe me?
Take me home tonight
where there's music and there's people
who are young and alive
driving in your car
I never never want to go home
because I haven't got one anymore
Take me home tonight
because I want to see people
and I want to see life
driving in your car
oh please don't drop me home
because it's not my home, it's their home
and I'm welcome no more

Good heavens, it’s the Smiths, obviously!
And if I had to sum it up: burn down the disco and hang the DJ.

No, Ed Wood 😁

Mr. Wrong said:The best music genres for a girl to listen to if she wants to be interesting to me:

5. Goth (as long as there isn't any pathetic drama)
4. Harsh noise (as long as she's sweet)
3. Techno (as long as she doesn't do drugs)
2. Rap (as long as it isn't that weak stuff)
1. Power pop-punk like Stiff Little Fingers, Neurotic Outsiders, or Exploding Hearts

What kind of requirements are those? A goth girl without the dramatic outbursts!!!😁
Techno, but she doesn't do drugs?!
You're being quite naive, 😁
Though "sweet" could describe someone who likes The Primitives or Transvision Vamp, for instance.
Orlando Bloom looks like a little goldfish to me, poor guy.
I think Daniel Craig seems pretty decent enough.

I mean, can things actually get any worse than Timothy Dalton?
