Given how long the wait times can be at Rockefeller 12 for swabs and an ejaculate culture, I was wondering if it's possible to schedule over the phone—and if so, which number should I call—or am I stuck having to show up in person...

Because I have some financial literacy, I have my own bank, and I even have a dedicated personal banker. On top of that, I can run my own financial analyses, stay updated on new products and services hitting the market, and most importantly, pick the specific ones that actually fit my needs.
QUOTE]

I mean, would your personal banker ever suggest you move your loan to a different bank just because they had a better rate? I highly doubt it. I give you credit for everything else you say you can handle yourself, but it seems to me that most people don't really grasp how the financial markets work. They end up falling into all sorts of traps set by flashy bank advertisements, which is why I think this kind of consulting is actually useful. I’ve gone to a few sessions myself; they were free, informative, and didn't cost me a dime 😁. My only observation is that there's a massive gap in quality between one "expert" and the next when it comes to these analyses. After one session, I actually went around to a few different banks to check their loan terms, and I even found myself explaining to a colleague in the credit department why it might be smarter to avoid certain UBS products. Given those kinds of situations—and the fact that bank staff can sometimes be pretty clueless, having only memorized their own internal product list—I don't think it's a bad idea to risk an hour of your time to hear what an advisor has to say. It's not like you should follow their recommendations blindly, but you might pick up a few nuances to keep in mind for the next time your "brilliant" personal banker tries to talk you into something.
Here is a little bit of support for Jane. Good luck. 🙂
Knee replacement surgery experiences? in Health ·
To be honest, I’m not entirely sold on the whole artificial knee idea given your age. I suppose I’d try every other avenue before committing to something like that;
I actually had ACL surgery back when I was in a clinic in Savannah, and there was an older gentleman in my recovery room who had just received a total knee replacement. From what I gathered through our follow-up chats, he seemed to be bouncing back quite well, though I realize that's highly subjective. Given your stage in life and everything you’ve already navigated, I imagine rehab wouldn't be an insurmountable mountain for you, but as someone else mentioned, those prosthetic joints aren't exactly permanent—they are still artificial, after all;
Who are you seeing over at Mayo Clinic? If I may offer a suggestion, maybe try to get an appointment with Dr. Bojanic to get his take on the matter. BEST OF LUCK!!!
Caffeine addiction? in Health ·
It’s mostly all in your head (aside from that nasty aftertaste 😁), I suppose. If you can just stop thinking about how a greasy breakfast burrito keeps you wired, and if you don't hear those commercials every few hours claiming a certain energy drink will give you wings 😁... then
maybe you'll be fine.
Herbalife thoughts? in Health ·
Honestly, what’s better than grabbing some killer fried cutlets paired with roasted potatoes? I usually make sure to drizzle a little bit of the extra fat from the baking pan over them—because let's be real, if the potatoes aren't juicy, they just aren't worth eating. And if you follow that up with a slice of creamy cheesecake... well, there's simply no way anyone could resist that kind of indulgence 😁. Of course, my calorie intake might be getting a bit out of hand 😁, but I suppose I can always find a way to get moving and burn it off later

I suppose the best approach is for everyone to just stay tucked in bed, occasionally popping a miracle pill, and calling it a day. I mean, if we follow that logic, we’ll all end up looking like Apollo and possessing the wisdom of Socrates, right? 😁

Honestly, you guys should probably head over to the running thread instead. You'll find some pretty incredible experiences there—it costs next to nothing, and if you actually stick with it, the results are pretty much a sure thing. 👍

Do I even need to mention that I had to sell off assets? It didn't matter; she passed away anyway. 😢 (They knew the situation back when I was footing the bills for her medical care. They took the money regardless: they just filed a claim.)

It’s an absolute DISASTER. I honestly don't know how those scumbags sleep at night. 😠

It’s because of situations like this that I suggested we start a dedicated website to track them—listing names and surnames so everyone knows exactly who they're dealing with. We need to expose them, so people can actually see what they're made of.

"The Canadian government actually shut down a website that was tracking physician requests for cash 'gifts'..."

What do you all think about us starting a similar platform here in the States? We could list those 'unfortunate' doctors who demand kickbacks from people who are barely scraping by, just to perform the basic duties they're already paid to do.😠
