MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
When was the last time Hajduk went without a single shot on goal against Dinamo at their home stadium?

Worst derby of the year. The Galaxy looks completely checked out.

I have to admit, I still don't get why everyone is so obsessed with Spikić. There’s definitely something about him, but letting Emrell go was just a brainless move.

Miller.

Until the end of the season:

I don't know what to tell you about Gorica. It’s just another suburb on the outskirts of the metro area. Nothing special there.:
Locomotive.
I don't know what to tell you. Just Slaven.
California.
I'm not sure what you're getting at with that. If you're looking for information on a specific American city, just say so.
The big club in town.

San Francisco:
California.
I don't know what you're getting at with that.
The way things are going with the big club lately... just frustrating to watch.
Osijek*

Domestic matches.

Obviously, Gorica is the safer bet here since they’ve got that big game coming up on Monday. Everything else is pretty much a toss-up, though Gorica feels like an easier play. That said, Šibenik might actually have an edge if they end up facing some rested teams in their final two matches.

There was contact, but he just went down too easily, so the ref gave him a yellow for flopping.

Basically, the VAR overturned a penalty that shouldn't have been called in the first place.

Penal 🤣

If Dinamo pulls this off at Poljud, the title is basically theirs. Honestly, they’d be fine even if they just managed a draw against Gorica today.

The clown needs a longer timeout.

Btw, I heard Shapit on MaxSport too. Clearly they didn't distance themselves enough.🤣

It doesn't have to be a penalty, but let's call it what it is: simulation.

Next weekend's matchup for the European spots—Osijek vs. Istra.

Frank Hayes71 would make a decent judge if he didn't spend all his time chasing down every little whistle-blower for every minor mistake.

I basically went out of my way to compile every scrap of data available on Transfermarkt—starting from 2006 all the way up to now, though I left this current season out. I broke down the raw numbers by season based on the league formats (whether it was a 12-team, 16-team, or 10-team setup), and then, at the very end, I categorized everything from when VAR was introduced back in the spring of 2020.

But again, I guess I'll leave the debate to you guys. 😬

It’s official, Zekic is staying, but only through the end of the season before he splits with Slaven. They weren't exactly favorites for Europe anyway, and honestly, I think their chances just got even slimmer now.

That’s a stretch. He definitely has his own crimes in this story, but you can't just pin all the blame on him either.

We'll see how next season plays out, but Hajduk really had their shot this year. They came in with all that momentum from last season when they were closer than ever and took home the Cup. They kept a solid core together, whereas Dinamo—not right away, but gradually through the season—basically gutted their spine and ended up dealing with internal drama and constant roster shifts. Everyone loved to pick on Cacic, but he stepped up for Hajduk exactly when it mattered, keeping things steady during those crucial games. If you take the head-to-head matchups out of the equation, the gap between them isn't nearly as wide.

Once again, it’s clear just how much Livaja means to this squad. But his prime is definitely starting to slip, and I honestly wonder what his next move will be. It's not even about his fitness—I'm more curious if he'll actually land a late-career overseas transfer like Adem did.

Next season could actually be interesting since so much is up in the air, but looking at how things are playing out right now, I feel like we'll just be fighting to hold onto second place instead of actually chasing the title.

Since Osijek clinched third place, betting on a draw or the away team in Rijeka and Varaždin is a total lock. 🤣
MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
What kind of rotation is this with goldentinker8 around Bubanja? I read three different places that he was done for the season, and now he’s just playing the whole game like nothing happened?! 🤣

I actually feel bad for that clumsy reporter out there having to deal with interviewees like these.🤣
MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
It’s obvious Gorica has the edge here. The head-to-head is tied up right now based on goal difference. Currently, Gorica has scored 5 and Šibenik has 4. If Šibenik pulls one in, they're even, but since Gorica scored 5 while playing away and Šibenik "only" managed 3, I think they'd need at least two goals to actually take the tiebreaker. Total madness 🤣
MLS 2022/23 Season: Part 2 in Soccer ·
From what I’m hearing, it looks like Šibenik is stuck. There’s no way for them to get into the Conference League even if they pull off a cup win because there’s no bypass route set up. Since Hajduk made it to the finals, they’ve basically locked themselves into the ECL third qualifying round. Usually, the cup winner goes straight to that third stage, but if it isn't Hajduk, that spot just drops down to the runner-up in the MLS. So yeah, Hajduk ends up right back where they started last season.

The other two clubs will have to start in the second qualifying round.

lonefox22 said:The media is absolutely losing its mind over this whole new Dinamo branch thing...

It’s honestly unreal—just how much integrity do these people actually have left? I mean, seriously...

And of course, you don't see anyone actually speaking up about it... nothing...

Not the fans, not the press... it's all just business as usual, I guess... which is just great...

First it was the situation with Locomotive, and now we've got this whole other story unfolding...

Unbelievable...

Here we go 🙏
