Since we're already talking about the World Cup, and looking at the race for top scorer while being overshadowed by heavy hitters from Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay—not to mention Ronald—we've got Thomas Müller left. Sure, his odds aren't great, but seeing those 30+ payouts tempted me to throw a little something down. Back in 2010, he bagged five goals in six matches, and in 2014, he hit five again to finish as the second overall scorer. Müller is actually the most prolific active scorer in World Cup history with 10 goals, trailing Miroslav Klose by six, so if he wants to claim that all-time title, he’s got to deliver in Russia.
The downside is that Germany doesn't have anyone like Saudi Arabia or Panama in their group—basically the kind of teams Klose used to pad his stats against. Sweden, Korea, and Mexico are definitely weaker than Germany, but I honestly doubt if Elf will find the back of the net more than a couple of times in any single match.
