Well, obviously, because the guy is absolutely incredible! 🙏 🙏 🙏

I mean, I guess they probably saw the absolute madness he caused—if it was even remotely close to the pure euphoria we felt back in Cleveland—and realized there’s some serious money to be made there... 🙄 🙄

Honestly, anyone who misses out on this... they just have no idea what they're missing. You really have to be there to get it. It's one of those experiences that money just can't buy. Every single time I think about how insanely expensive the ticket was (and let me tell you, it definitely wasn't cheap!), I completely forget about the cost once the show starts. Within the first few minutes, you just realize that kind of feeling? It’s priceless.

Oh, really? And when exactly is that supposed to happen? I guess I’ll just sit here and wait with bated breath, then!

Tommy is the absolute GOAT! 🙏 🙏 🙏

So, I made it out to Cleveland to catch the show at the local arena near Mackinac Island. I was there last year too, and man, I really hope they pull this off again next year. Sadly, because my bank account is looking a little thin right now, I could only make it to the first of the two nights, but if they organize it again in future years, I am definitely going to every single thing they offer!

I’d love to make it to the one in Washington, D.C., too, but I’m honestly on the fence. Getting a ride from Cleveland is a bit of a headache, and I don't really have a place to crash... *sniff* 😢 😢

Wait, did someone mention there's a DVD available? Does anyone know how I might be able to track that down? I’ve got a few CDs myself...

Best,

Is anyone planning on being in Washington, D.C., at Atlantic City on March 15th? I heard a rumor that there might be something happening out in San Francisco too, but honestly, nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
If it doesn't happen out West, I guess I don't really have much of a choice—it's a straight shot to D.C. for me. I am seriously looking forward to it!
Does anyone happen to have any more concrete details than I do?
Thanks

I guess I was pretty much obsessed with it for a while, but I feel like I can finally catch my breath now. Since I was a little kid, I’ve been constantly dealing with it—not just on my lip, but all over my chin, inside my nose, even once in my ear... It’s honestly embarrassing and painful. I absolutely hate it. Thankfully, things are better lately. It still pops up every few months or so. I don't even try to stop it anymore, because it feels like there's just something inside me that needs to get out. If it doesn't happen this way, it'll find some other way. The most effective, though definitely the least aesthetic method, is using a Kalodont toothpaste. It dries it out really well, and since it stings a bit, it kind of kills that disgusting sensation you get when it's breaking through the skin.
By the way, it’s actually super useful (and totally natural) to apply tea tree or lavender essential oil right when you feel one starting to surface. It’ll still come out, but it stays much smaller and clears up way faster. Just make sure the oil is 100% pure. And yeah, it smells terrible. But it works.

Good luck

Thanks, but does anyone happen to know where I can actually find some cold-pressed sunflower oil? I’ve been poking around a few local grocery stores, but it seems like it’s nowhere to be found. I guess I don't want to go dropping cash on those super expensive boutique oils while I'm still just finding my footing, but then again, I really don't want to be doing a massage with total garbage either.
Anyway, I'm working—well, about to start working—as an aromatherapy massage therapist, so I'll be using essential oils, but I'm planning to focus more on reflexology and intuitive massage.
Thanks again, as I said.

So, I pretty much just finished up my Aromarin course over in Santa Barbara, and man, I paid a serious amount of money for it.

The whole issue is that I ended up taking a year-long break, and now, I don't know, I feel like I can't remember a single thing from the material.

I really want to wrap this thing up properly, so I guess I'm looking for some kind of online resource or a way to refresh my memory through the web.

Thanks, though I honestly could have just figured that out on my own. And I did, actually—I spent way too much time digging through several different browsers. I just assumed it was obvious that I wasn't looking for general advice, but specifically trying to find someone who actually knows which exact site holds the useful stuff. I guess I'm just too lazy to go hunting for 😁

Does anyone happen to know of a decent website dedicated to massage therapy, maybe something that goes deep into specific techniques and all that stuff?
Thanks

Does anyone have recommendations for a solid psychotherapist over in Cleveland?

So, how did I actually land on choosing Aromara? Honestly, it was a bit of a headache because, in my opinion, both schools seem really solid and professional. If I had gone with Aromavit, I’d basically just be stuck doing some kind of correspondence course since I live out in Cleveland. But Aromara is based in Newport Beach, which is way more convenient for me. Plus, their curriculum feels a lot more comprehensive, even if it does cost a bit more upfront. They cover a wider variety of massage styles and put in a ton more hours. I’m not saying Aromara is objectively better—I don't really know if one is definitively superior—but I figured having classes once a month would be much better than waiting every three months like I would have if I'd picked Aromavit.
By the way, the price over at Aromavit is $2667 for the aromatherapist program.
Over at Aromara, you’ve got the aroma massage program for $1833, and then the family aromatherapist track is around $2233, though apparently there's a discount for those who finish the massage certification first. From what I can gather, those two programs are pretty much equivalent to what they offer at Aromavit.

Best,

To be honest, I’m mostly looking into the family aromatherapist training myself, but if you're actually planning on practicing as a professional aromatherapist, you really have to knock out both programs to get there.
And yeah, Aromara is the one. You can check out their site here: www.aromara.com.
That second program is definitely more expensive, though—I think it goes through $2000.
The enrollment process basically involves signing up via a workbook.

So, the massage therapy program kicked off back in May. The total cost is $1833. It’s a mix of theory and hands-on practice, too. Basically, the instructors talk through everything and then demonstrate the techniques on a volunteer—which, honestly, isn't hard to find if you look around!—and after that, we just pair up and start practicing on each other.
We’re covering quite a bit: reflexology, classic massage, intuitive styles, anatomy and physiology, plus first aid, workplace safety, and even how to provide psychological support when you're in a helping profession. It’s a pretty heavy load, totaling 130 hours of classroom instruction and another 140 hours of practical work.
Regarding the reading material, the Aromatherapy Training Center provided us with some Coursera scripts to follow along with.
If there’s anything else you're curious about, I guess I can help you out.

So, I figured I’d give you guys an update on how school has been going so far.

It’s actually been pretty fascinating, to be honest. We’ve been diving into reflexology, learning all about essential oils, and even getting some hands-on practice with intuitive back massages.

The way they structured the whole program is kind of unique—it's set up as a series of lectures and practical workshops that run once a month over a full weekend, starting Friday afternoon and running through Saturday and Sunday, for about seven months total.

I’m really enjoying it so far, though I guess we'll see if that holds up as the material gets harder.
I’m already thinking about signing up for a second certification, maybe something like a family aromatherapy specialist, but I think that doesn't kick off until maybe September or October.

I’ll make sure to keep you guys posted regularly, so don't even worry about it.

To be honest, I’ve never actually gone for a professional massage before, though it’s been on my radar for a long time now. I was thinking maybe I could try out what I might end up doing for a living 😁
(I mean, I have had physical therapy sessions with massage involved a few times, but I’m not sure if you can really compare those medical massages meant for lower back pain relief to a massage done just for the sake of it—you know, for pure relaxation of the mind and body. Or am I totally off base here?)

Talk soon

So, I’m actually starting this whole fragrance specialist training program tomorrow. It sounds decent enough on paper, I suppose, though I really just hope this investment doesn't end up being a total waste of my money.
