Man, I don't know, I looked in my tub the other day and saw this weird red 😲 😲 😲 It started appearing a few months back. Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue what could be causing it... maybe lead contamination?? I drink a ton of water, probably around two and a half liters a day—buying bottled stuff is just getting way too expensive for me lately...
MaLo, I honestly can't help you out here, mostly because I just don't know 😢 But, look, if this is actually as much of an emergency as you're making it out to be, then please, for heaven's sake, just go to anyone! Go to whoever your mom usually visits? A close friend? An aunt? Just find someone. Good luck!
Regarding the transvaginal ultrasound, I wasn't supposed to drink anything beforehand. For the external one, it varies—one time I didn't need to, but another time I did (the technician told me in the waiting room that I should go grab something to drink and then come back, or if I just wanted to take a few sips of water right there and wait a bit; I ended up choosing the second option because honestly, it was freezing outside 😬 ) —kill me now, I can't even remember what they were actually looking at 😵
I guess everything really just depends on what KIND of ultrasound it is and EXACTLY what they need to see—you should probably just call them up and ask!
Hannah Hernandez9 said:Hey velvetwolf92, just so you know, Dr. Brnčić works the opposite shift from Dr. Krešić. She’s relatively new and is seeing female patients now. If it helps you decide, I think they have ultrasound on-site—though I’m not entirely sure how long they’ve had that available. Honestly, the doctor is wonderful, and her nurse is even better.
Does anyone else here happen to have any experience dealing with either Dr. Krešić or Dr. Brnčić?
Strangelove, honestly, I haven't really noticed anything else out of the ordinary.
I suppose if things don't start looking up, I'll probably just head over to my doctor, but if it settles down on its own, I'll just assume it was some kind of PMS flare-up or something...
Edward Green said:To put it bluntly, Dr. Krešić is the real deal. And if anyone cares, she’s an absolutely fantastic woman 😁 though you might have to endure a little torture from her incredibly high-strung sister first, but honestly, the doctor herself is legendary. She has such a down-to-earth approach, isn't stingy at all with instructions—she mentioned she really prefers making sure patients feel secure—and she even walked me through my ultrasound images to explain everything. I actually had to call her on the phone to ask a question, which meant dealing with my sister again... and you know how that goes, who's supposed to be doing what, why they need to do it, what I was even trying to ask... but she explained everything perfectly. The only thing is, she doesn't have an ultrasound machine on-site...
I finally need to find a gynecologist covered by my insurance, and Dr. Krešić was recommended to me. I'm wondering if she's still taking new patients, whether she has ultrasound capabilities now, and what the whole registration process looks like? Like, do I need to bring over any records from my previous private doctor or anything? I wouldn't mind sticking with a private specialist, but I suppose it would be smart to have a backup just in case something serious pops up down the road...
It might just be my nerves acting up, though I honestly don't feel like I'm more stressed than usual (and let's be real, I'm pretty much a walking nerve ending most of the time—though I usually keep it bottled up inside, which I know probably makes things even worse) I just don't know how to stop being so on edge...
Maybe I'm eating too much "empty" food? I suppose I should probably eat smaller portions, but make them more substantial—which really means fattier foods, but I've never been a big fan of greasy stuff 🙂... I don't know.
What on earth does 🤔 have to do with anything? 😘He definitely isn't letting it go, either—my partner is a total fanatic when it comes to this kind of thing, so I guess we're in for a long night.
So, I’ve been feeling like I’m constantly, absolutely starving lately... Honestly, I think I'm eating way more than I used to, because if we're talking pure volume, I'm definitely consuming a lot more food... But for the last few days, I’ve also been dealing with this weird sensation of weakness in my hands—it’s like, I have a hard time even holding them steady enough to type on my computer, especially once evening rolls around. I don't work out, I'm not overexerting myself, I eat regular meals, and I'm definitely not pregnant... so, WTF 🤔 Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
I don't think you're really crossing any lines when it comes to what's considered a normal diet. I mean, maybe if you just tossed in a few more salads here and there, or swapped out the meat for some fish, an egg, or even some cheese once in a while, I'd say you've basically got a super healthy way of eating figured out! 👍
I’ve had these moments where I’ll wake up in the middle of the night—usually right after some absolutely terrifying nightmare—and I just feel paralyzed, like I can’t even move an inch. I guess I eventually manage to drift back to sleep, though... Another thing is when I wake up in the morning; my mind is wide awake and racing, but my body just won't respond. It’s like there’s zero strength left in my muscles, so if I do try to move, it’s just these clumsy, awkward little twitches, nothing precise at all. It happens to me quite often, especially lately... it felt pretty spooky the first few times, but I suppose it feels somewhat normal to me now. And then there's this third thing: whenever I can't move my arm, which usually happens when I'm lying on my back and tuck it under my head, it goes completely numb, and I just can't feel it at all. It is honestly such a horrible sensation when it starts to "wake up." 😬
I dealt with this nightmare for an entire year! 😠 I’d actually reached the point where I’d forgotten what it felt like to just go to the bathroom without feeling like I was being burned alive with acid 😠 It turned out to be E. coli, which meant endless rounds of urine cultures after urine cultures, mountains of antibiotics, all those homeopathic remedies that didn't do squat, and finally—finally—we got rid of those little bastards! :Psmtr: At least for now. 🙄Because those things? They just love making a comeback...
I was basically being prepped and ended up having some pretty rough digestion issues. They’re actually looking for amoebas in my stool samples.
So, I did this procedure a few years back. You have to make sure you've had a bowel movement the day before. Then you show up in the morning, chug a glass of these absolutely disgusting bitter salts, and just sit there waiting for things to start moving. 😬 The first time I tried it, honestly, nothing happened—like, absolutely nothing. I didn't even have a bowel movement at all. 😕 So, I had to go through it a second time. This time, well, it definitely worked. 😬 You get hit with this massive diarrhea that just goes on and on and on and on... You get this container labeled with a number, and for the first few rounds, you use the restroom, but then you start collecting them. I don't remember the exact process perfectly, but I think once it hits you, you're racing to the bathroom, emptying out the previous sample, rinsing the container with water, "catching" the new one, putting it in its designated spot, sitting back down, and waiting to be hit again. If I recall, you might have to produce something like 15 samples (or something in that ballpark). Basically, it has to be completely liquid. It was miserable for me; I was still dealing with diarrhea for two days afterward. It burns—or, well, at least it burned like crazy for me.
It’s probably a good idea to have a ride home, because the urge can hit you every couple of minutes. But I guess it's all very individual. Nobody can tell you in advance how your body is going to react. And yeah, having something on hand to stop the diarrhea is probably a smart move too.
I can't quite remember exactly how long you're supposed to fast, to be honest. All I know is you can't eat anything while it's happening and you have to arrive on an empty stomach. It takes hours. I was seriously starving. 😁 😬
It feels awkward, I know, but it isn't as bad as you'd think. Don't let yourself get too intimidated. And honestly, you'll probably be there with a bunch of other people doing the exact same thing, so you can kind of commiserate and comfort each other. Hang in there. 👍
If you're dealing with a yeast infection, I guess you could try stuffing a garlic clove wrapped in gauze inside overnight and just pulling it out in the morning. I haven't actually personally tested that myself, but if I recall correctly, there are plenty of people on the various health forums who swear by that method and say it works wonders. 👍
It’s honestly not that big of a deal. I mean, sure, it’s a little awkward, but personally, I didn't feel any pain at all—which is saying something because I’m usually incredibly sensitive to physical discomfort. It gets a bit weird when they start pumping the air in, though. And then, yeah, you end up with some white discharge afterward 😬 I suppose it really just comes down to who is performing the procedure on you. In my experience, I had some truly excellent doctors (or specialists, or whatever they call them these days) who walked me through every single step, explaining exactly what they were going to do next and what I should expect to feel 👍
Honestly, you really shouldn't mess around with that stuff! It’s not like the world is ending just because you happen to be on your period while you're at the beach—just use a tampon and call it a day. Okay, maybe that doesn't solve *every* single problem... 😬
Look, take me for example. I was on birth control for four years straight, and I am never, ever touching it again. It seriously messed me up; my cycle would just delay itself constantly, and one time I didn't get my period for seven whole months. I actually had to take hormones just to jumpstart it, then after I stopped taking them, it just disappeared again... It was honestly such a nightmare. Now, my cycle comes every 40-something days, and it seems to get later every single time. First it was 32 days, then 35, then 38, then 42, then 45... I have absolutely no clue what I'm in for.
And yeah, I went through every single test and screening they asked for, and everything came back fine.
I'm 27 years old.
I really think people shouldn't play games with things that are perfectly natural. It feels like nowadays everyone treats this stuff way too lightly, if you know what I mean (is that even a word? 🤔) ...it's just a bit reckless, I guess.
I used it myself for about ten years, I guess. It actually helped me quite a bit. I was dealing with what felt like chronic bronchitis, or some variation of that—it wasn't really like having sudden attacks, more like this constant, lingering state where I just couldn't catch my breath properly. You know, you're breathing, but it feels like you can't get enough air in, and then my chest would start stabbing me every single time I took a breath. My stamina was basically non-existent; I’d have to stop several times just to climb twenty stairs, and whenever I was walking through the city with friends, I’d always find myself telling them they needed to slow down...
But, honestly, I don't think it's a great idea to stay on something like that for such a long stretch. Every medication is a double-edged sword; it might fix one thing, but it'll probably mess something else up.
If you aren't seeing any actual improvement, I'd say just quit. That’s what I would do, anyway. There's no point in just struggling along if you aren't feeling better. Maybe try looking into homeopathy or something similar??
I think I heard somewhere once that all those low-fat and light versions of food aren't actually healthy at all. If you really stop to think about it, why would anyone even bother making stuff like that? It’s just so people can eat way more of it while technically consuming less fat (or sugar, or calories, or whatever else they stripped out...) I mean, don't even try telling me that skim milk—you know, the kind where they've processed everything out—is somehow better for you than whole milk! Now, on the other hand, back when I was still allowed to drink real dairy, I actually didn't care for straight-up farm milk because the taste and smell were just too intense for me, especially since I was so used to that watery 0.9% stuff. And no matter how much I try to convince myself—or maybe I'm just lying to myself at this point—that soy milk is perfectly fine, it just doesn't hold a candle to regular milk! And then there's all those sugar-free desserts that are loaded with sweeteners—which, for the most part, are artificial and definitely not natural. What's the point? It's just so people can shovel that junk into their bodies without feeling quite as guilty about it... 🙄
I used to do the exact same thing, but honestly, I'm done with it. 🙂 😬
