Mistake in Godzilla?! in Movies ·
casualotter21 said:Imagine a giant Tribble attacking New York City. That would be quite the movie, wouldn't it? Though, we’d have to make sure it doesn't rain, because if those massive furs got soaked, the whole thing would just smell terrible—not to mention the poor creature might actually collapse under its own water-logged weight. Actually, isn't that a brilliant way to take it down? A radiation-resistant giant Tribble descends upon Manhattan, and then, at the climax, they simply toss it into Hudson Bay. Once the fur absorbs enough water, the beast would sink straight to the bottom like a stone. I realize it might sound a bit over the top, but hey, I haven't heard Friedrich Barbarossa complaining about a little drama before!

GNN 🙏

The entire movie feels like one massive oversight 😁 especially when you start digging into the logic behind it.
Triplets might be the rule 👍 but this is Star Trek, where anything goes and whether the internal logic holds up is almost irrelevant.

🙂 isn't garbage

Atlanta 🙂 😍 looks absolutely incredible

Go ahead, try to debunk this argument😁

That movie crossed my mind the other day. Back when I was a kid, a friend and I used to watch it almost every weekend.😁 (for maybe two or three months straight). We were catching up recently, and it made me wonder if I should revisit it—to see if it actually holds up or if it was just some childhood nostalgia playing tricks on me. Does anyone know if this is even available to grab here in the States? I remember seeing a title like "Gumball Rally" somewhere, which seems to be the original name. It’s essentially a comedy mixed with a solid road trip and some great cars. I’ve been hunting for it on DVD or even through Dixie, but I haven't had any luck with the usual US retailers🙂 for movies 😢. All I could find was a listing on IMDb. Does anyone else remember this one? What’s your take on it? If anyone happens to own a copy, perhaps we could work something out😉

The movie is fantastic

That Look, combined with those perpetually smirking Alien faces, is just perfection🙏
When they were attempting to explain the concept of acting to them—since Aliens apparently only ever film documentaries😁 😁

It has been quite a while since I’ve seen such a brilliant parody
You might actually be right about that, so I went ahead and edited it. 😉
Dirty Harry says 😁
I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? To be honest, with everything going on, I’ve lost count myself. But since we're talking about a .44 Magnum—arguably the most devastating handgun on the planet, capable of taking a man's head right off—you really have to ask yourself just one thing. Do I feel lucky?
Well, do ya, punk?

Clint is an absolute legend 🙏

Entire musical art is nothing but money (which even Jesus Christ couldn't convince me otherwise), except for commercial stuff.

Does being commercial necessarily mean it's bad?
I'm not claiming it's ONLY about the money, but isn't money one of the most significant factors, just as it is in almost every other aspect of society?
The world revolves around capital,
And non-commercial artists don't exactly live on thin air, unless I'm mistaken.😕

Besides, that isn't even the main point; I just caught onto the idea that this Eminem—or whatever his name is—is some kind of "materialistic bastard." Every single person is a materialist to some degree, whether more or less.

If someone manages to sell themselves successfully, they might be a mediocre artist, and that's where criticism belongs, but calling them a "materialistic bastard" feels off.
Nobody survives on nothing; you sell your knowledge, your services, or whatever else you have. So if a person can sell smoke without hurting anyone and make a decent living doing it, why the insults?

He’ll probably get much further by just being himself than if he tried to act like some saint...

👍

That’s exactly it. I don't think anyone is being harmed if he actually manages to make it. If he genuinely believes he can achieve something through that approach, then what's the harm?
If he finds an audience, more power to him. Honestly, he's unlikely to be any worse than 70% of the garbage currently clogging up the American pop charts.😁

give me one materialistic take.

All this anti-materialistic nonsense just makes my blood boil immediately

I don't watch Universal Music Group because I don't even have FOX (thankfully 🙂 ), so I have absolutely no clue what Eminem looks like or how he sounds, but I fail to see the issue when someone simply wants to make a living. Is it somehow a sin to want to break through and earn some money?

I’m not getting into whether the music is any good; that isn't even the point here.
If there is a market for something, it makes money—so where is the problem?

The idea that all "real" musicians work for peanuts and couldn't care less about money because they exist solely for the sake of art...😕
Can we please try something new?

Are we really saying that for true musicians, their careers aren't about earnings?
That they should act more like charitable organizations?😲
Whether it's high-quality music or pure garbage, it all revolves around the same thing.

It all seems to come down to the exact same thing to me.😉

$$

Basically, if there's an audience, there's money; why is that such a hard concept to grasp?
Kill Bill Vol. 1 in Movies ·
I caught a screening this past Friday. The premiere was held over in Cleveland.
The movie is excellent—genuinely fun, packed with sharp dialogue, and serves as yet another reminder of why I’m such a fan of Tarantino and his previous three films.🙂
It’s the banter, the sarcasm, and that specific brand of low-stakes humor that works so well; it’s irreverent without ever feeling forced or over-the-top.
There is one standout animated sequence, along with a few clever black-and-white interludes.
As per usual, the soundtrack fits the vibe perfectly.
The ending is engineered in a way that makes a sequel feel absolutely mandatory.
Honestly, the film is 👍
Watched Bio last night, UNFORTUNATELY

What an absolute joke; half of the audience was practically doubling over at that pseudo-intellectual "depth"—all that talk about destiny, choice, and being a savior... honestly, give me a break.
The scene where the incredibly unlikable Trinity dies? Pure comedy, 🙂

The Wachowskis—judging by how this ended, I wouldn’t be surprised if they announced a fourth installment (forget the trilogy, as long as the money keeps rolling in).

If only they had left it at the first film, but this...

Pure genius.👍
Jackass: The Movie (2002) in Movies ·
It’s interesting how people in the United States will take a chunk of snow, wrap it in paper so it mimics an ice cream cone, and then proceed to lick and eat this so-called "ice cream." Absolutely revolting.

And what exactly is the appeal here? Is the merit found simply in the fact that someone filmed such a disgusting act, only for a bunch of idiots to sit there and watch it? 👎
Jackass: The Movie (2002) in Movies ·
Completely ridiculous 👎

It’s just more reality TV garbage, nothing out of the ordinary.
A total lack of imagination, essentially just trying to be Jackass.
Kids will be kids, I suppose, though who can really say how many will get hurt? People have already been injured just trying to mimic these losers.
Nowadays, you barely have to think of anything—even an absolute stupidity like this—and you're instantly in.
It’s just lowbrow and mindless. 🙂
May 1, 1994: Remembering Ayrton Senna in Formula 1 ·
I’ve been drifting away from Formula 1 little by little ever since he passed.
I can say with certainty that I have never shed a tear for any celebrity—be they an athlete or some other kind of icon.

I suppose I realize he was driven by the money, just like everyone else, but there was at least
a certain spirit within him; to me, he was simply different.

Slava ему.
