I’m thinking of that part in Unforgiven where they try every way possible to squeeze info out of some tough guy—but since he just wouldn't crack, they pull out the ultimate wildcard. They take a rat, call it Karl, put it on his stomach, cover it with a pot, and then heat the whole thing from above with a lantern. Once that little guy feels the heat, he starts digging through him to escape—you know how it goes...
That's just an old Inquisition-era tactic... 🙂
In addition to the movies already mentioned, I'd throw in Man bites dog and Taxidermy. 😁

He also did the score for Goodbye Lenin. I recommend it too, though you eventually realize everything follows a similar pattern. Not that it matters much to me—whenever I hit one of those manic, romantic moods, I'll listen to just about anything.😈

Haha, it’s not exactly neurotoxic mold, is it? 🤣 Diagnosis: hypochondriac. You'll be fine. I eat mold regularly; the stuff growing on my parmesan is actually the best part. And if you want a reality check: at the grocery store, once the cheese starts looking blue, they just wipe it down with some oil and put it right back on the shelf. 😉
How can I be sure my lenses actually have UVA/UVB and other necessary protections? Is checking the certificate the only way, or are there other methods? Also, what’s the ballpark price for entry-level glasses that feature high-quality lenses—meaning they actually provide real sun protection?
I don't want to start a whole new thread since my question was already covered in the opening post, but since I didn't get much of an answer there, let's try this again. Maybe I'll have better luck five years down the line... So, how does one actually identify a good balance between quality and price when buying sunglasses? Just glancing through the lenses doesn't help me distinguish Ray-Bans from some cheap knockoff at a flea market. 😁 If you have any experience with this, please weigh in. I genuinely need a pair, but I refuse to pay a premium just for a logo.
I haven't the slightest clue. I picked it up at the hospital, along with a friend who was there with me. Meanwhile, nobody else in my house even caught it, though I spent my entire sixteenth year throwing up constantly. It was miserable.
And weren't they supposed to mention that this virus goes by Norovirus or Norwalk...? Whatever.
Honestly, don't worry about it; it's not like you're catching bird flu. 😁
I used to be too embarrassed to ask because I didn't want to look clueless, but curiosity finally got the better of me. So, experts, please enlighten me: what exactly is a K-hole, and what is this new drug everyone is talking about? I honestly have no idea 😕

She's barely scraping by in college, despite being a straight-A student before the addiction took hold. She tells me she struggles to focus or retain any significant amount of information.
Another acquaintance of mine took a three-year hiatus from university to get clean. During that time, she was completely sober. Now, she’s struggling to finish her degree, reporting the same issues with concentration and an inability to study with the same intensity she had back when she was a total academic overachiever. She's essentially paying off the cognitive debt from years of neglect. 😁
The takeaway here: you can reach the same level of dysfunction through various paths. Drugs aren't the only way to hijack your brain's motivational systems. 😁
Amanda Moore79, I have to hand it to you. Let's just hope that enthusiasm doesn't wear off before I decide to book an appointment at a clinic, though most doctors aren't nearly as meticulous as you are.
