Most people who have it all figured out don't even watch movies for themselves; they do it because everyone else is doing it, much like how plenty of folks decide to follow the NFL even if they aren't actually that into football...
Or, to put it simply, since we're social creatures, it's mostly just about fitting in better with the crowd.
p.s. Don't take this too seriously, though—it's just one tiny slice of the whole story.🙂

Anyway, I’ve been wearing soft contact lenses from the very beginning.
But lately, I’ve been low-key freaking out because for the last month, I’ve been seeing these little tiny spots drifting around in my left eye (the one with the higher prescription). I’m thinking I’ll have to schedule an eye exam again, and honestly? I’m terrified it might be that retinal scarring stuff that leads to vision loss. I never had this before, and now it’s driving me crazy, especially when I’m trying to read... I really hope it’s nothing serious, because I know a ton of people deal with this, but of course, I immediately spiral and convince myself it's the absolute worst-case scenario. I don't even know what to think anymore... 🤷
To be honest, I don't actually know anyone else with such a massive prescription, but it still weighs on me knowing there are people out there dealing with numbers like mine.
I used to wear glasses, and I would constantly scare myself thinking about how thick the lenses were—even though they cost me a fortune and weren't even the basic kind! But I've been wearing contacts for the last four years, and man, my life has been so much better since I made the switch.

For breakfast, how about a spinach omelet—or maybe toss some leeks in there too? And if you're making a sandwich, you could always slice up some tomatoes or bell pepper strips to add a little crunch.
For lunch: just some good old-fashioned steamed vegetables.
And for dinner? Same thing!
Personally, I usually grab a yogurt for a snack—it's easy—but hey, if you're really craving a salad, go right ahead and indulge! 🙂

Personally, I actually did those exercises and managed to reduce my prescription significantly (by about -2.00 and 1.25), and I haven't even done them for a month or two now... nothing has reverted back. I think it's mostly nonsense, probably just some fluff spread by a rookie optometrist who doesn't want people helping themselves. I guess it’s more in their interest to have people constantly buying contact lenses or glasses for $200 or more, only to replace them again a few months later.
People often start these exercises, but maybe they aren't reading the instructions carefully, or perhaps they just don't stick with it long enough. If someone is thinking about starting, I suppose they need to clearly understand the goal of the routine, as well as what they have to give up—like wearing corrective lenses, some time, and maybe 20 minutes every morning and evening.
If you have a very high prescription or if you've worn contacts or glasses for a long time, it's quite likely it will take much longer for you to see results than it did for me. In my case, I saw a change in my prescription after about a month of consistent daily work.
Laser surgery is permanent and you might run into issues like dry eyes or issues with astigmatism. No, thank you. This approach doesn't cost you anything to try, I guess. Good luck.
