When George mentioned he based Samantha's character on a real person, I told him—no way—nobody could actually be that funny.

Extremely witty. Truly—a brilliant setup for the second season of "our little clinic."

Brian Gonzalez7 said:Japanese filmmakers are absolute kings... I'll say it again: Takashi Miike is the greatest director of all time.

But when exactly did that era actually start, in your opinion?

For me, it all clicked when I watched Ichi. Mr. Miike must have been living on nothing but pure fiber for a year before filming—because I've never seen a bigger pile of garbage. And mind you, I once found myself at the Zoo right as Tantor was opening.

It’s just pathetic—you don't even seem to care when African people are being killed.🙂

African creators are also incredibly strong in the horror genre.

Yeah—ever since he jumped from cinematographer to director, his work has gone completely downhill.

Keith Jones19 said:Look, forums are basically a haven for the lazy—why bother scouring the web for thirty minutes and actually using your brain to do some basic math when you can just blurt out whatever pops into your head? You know there will always be a few mindless drones standing by with canned responses ready to go.

That’s all well and good—but if that's the case, deal with us perpetually pissed-off types too.

Hardly a relevant venue.

Quote : Indigo Girls said:The difference between us—quite simply—is that I don't view asking a question like this as something to be ashamed of.

Then why didn't you just ask it among people who actually know you personally?

This way, you learned a lot more.

Chloe Morris12 said:northerncrane4 — we all like to think we have it all figured out—but we don't. I'm certain there's even something you aren't sure about, and my question is just as basic as that.

Fair enough. Rather than embarrassing myself with questions like "Why isn't the tide coming in?"—which is just asking for trouble—I’ll try to find the answers in the right places. Something you seem too lazy to do.
Chloe Morris12 said:I don't hesitate to ask when I'm unsure—even if some people, like you, might find it foolish.

Look, if you aren't going to ask—well, I'm certainly not going to bother commenting. What's the issue?

You shouldn't be ashamed of your own intelligence. I get that sexism is some peak level of stupidity people reach—but you have actual potential, you don't need that.

I'm just trying to mask my glaring idiocy and total lack of direction—which you apparently detected with such surgical precision.

Being aggressive is fine, but doing it like an idiot is just pathetic. 😉

Transparent. You're clearly a woman—only women can be this perceptive.

Hmm. Perhaps I should try this:

There you go—now she'll probably think *every* movie is based on a book. Even after it was clearly explained...

Sandra King86 said:We were just building frameworks—nothing personal, no one was actually being targeted.
That’s a distinction you clearly need to grasp. 😉

It all depends on your perspective—for someone caught in the meat grinder, there is no difference.

Sandra King86 said:Chloe Morris12—everything is fine with your question. 😘

If "Sandy" were actually in the audience, she’d be looking at a massive bonus from— $17Who was that lady asking why one goes in the vagina, the other in the colon—and why they’re using margarine as lube?

Chloe Morris12 said:Why are you being such a *****? I was just asking if most movies are based on books or not. I honestly don't see what the issue is with my question.

I live in New York City. ( 🙂 )

The issue is this—there is someone out there living in New York City who clearly knows how to use the internet, manages to churn out 5k posts on a single forum, and acts literate, yet somehow lacks the basic data on whether films are adapted from books or not. Not only that, but they think it's perfectly fine to pose such a question to others instead of using a little deduction to find the answer themselves.

It’s a problem of civilization.

And where do you live? In some isolated bunker?
