Richard Ward5 said:That sounds like an infection for sure. Honestly, my best advice is to find a new doctor or just go to a private clinic... you need to get checked out RIGHT NOW!!!

To be perfectly honest, the more I sit here and think about it, the more I'm convinced that's the case. It was only after I finished typing my last post that all the pieces finally started falling into place for me.
Ladies, quick question for you.
I’ve read somewhere that discharge can increase during pregnancy, and honestly, mine has been incredibly heavy over the last few days... I called my OB/GYN to see if I could come in for an exam, but she won't even see me until mid-August, which she claims is doing me a huge favor. 😲
To be perfectly blunt, I don't actually believe I'm pregnant, but I figured I'd ask if there's any actual connection here before I bother pushing further. Also, my lower abdomen is aching. Could this possibly be some kind of infection? 🤔
I’m right there with you on that one.
It’s literally just one day. It is way too early to be spiraling into this kind of panic...
Maria Wright35 said:So, look at this... everything I wrote, and somehow it all lands right on my doorstep?? It’ll happen to you guys too eventually—something you won't see coming—and then you'll be looking for help, only to find that when someone tries to step in without any actual reason, things aren't going to go quite so smoothly...

It’s already happened. I went out and bought a test. 😎
Maria Wright35 said:gentlecanyon92, you're being incredibly rude...

You've essentially cluttered this entire subforum with posts, asking questions that we can't even begin to answer since you haven't bothered to put together a proper test, and then you have the audacity to call someone else rude. 😲
Maria Wright35 said:But here’s the real kicker: I’m dealing with every single PMS symptom imaginable. It’s the same old story, really. I have that constant, nagging feeling that my period is going to drop any second now, yet it’s just... late. It’s driving me absolutely crazy... It hasn’t been out by much, but this usually happens like clockwork—maybe a day or a day and a half at most. Now, my stomach is bloated as hell, just like always, and honestly? I feel completely gross and heavy...

Has it crossed your mind that the stress might actually be what's causing the delay? You even mentioned that you're feeling all those typical pre-period symptoms.
Maria Wright35 said:Thanks, Linda Rodriguez38, but I’m wondering if that discharge actually means anything... could it be my ovulation window? Because I noticed it a few days ago too...

Vaginal discharge can happen before, after, or just whenever you feel like it. It's an incredibly individual thing and certainly isn't some reliable metric you can use to draw any meaningful conclusions. You should probably just wait a bit longer before picking up a pregnancy test, or better yet, just head to your OB-GYN on Tuesday. Honestly, obsessing over it right now isn't going to help you get pregnant any faster. 😉
Sandra Ross27 said:So, just a quick reminder of how blind Walter Hayes5 actually is...

...so apparently she can't see that I'm just telling people there's zero reason to be embarrassed about wearing glasses and that there are times when they're a lifesaver. William Thomas3 is convinced they don't look good on her, and since she hasn't worn them until now, I guess she still doesn't plan to. All I'm saying is it's not a big deal and she thinks they won't suit her. I was trying to be encouraging, not lecturing her.
I don't know, Walter Hayes5, why you totally misread me and decided to come at me. Nowhere did I say contacts take up too much time?? Maybe don't post when your blood sugar is crashing or when your 401(k) takes a dip below the market average. 😁

Look, the perks of contacts are obvious, but any eye doctor will tell you your eyes need a break from them during the day. Not to mention there are medical issues where you absolutely cannot wear a contact because you'll risk contamination (like a stye). Headaches, dust, staring at a computer screen all day, losing a lens, or some random finger poking your eye... those are all moments where glasses are clutch. You can pop them on in a heartbeat if "speed" is such a massive issue for you. That's why I recommend glasses as a backup tool, not that I'm claiming they're inherently superior to contacts.
Unfortunately, Walter Hayes5, I have to point out that your knowledge of ophthalmology is just as shallow as your way of cleaning lenses.😬

I suppose it’s a good thing my supposed lack of depth has actually worked in my favor, since my doctor constantly praises how great my eyes look and claims he can't even tell I'm wearing lenses. 😁

👋
Sandra Ross27 said:Edward Green, you clearly have a terrible eye doctor. I’ve dealt with prescription mismatches before too, but the only time I had a disaster was when some "genius" sub doc filled in for my regular ophthalmologist while he was on vacation, and those lenses gave me a massive migraine. I don't get why you didn't just file a complaint immediately to get a re-check and a new pair of lenses??? One side was probably way off, either too strong or too weak.

I honestly will never understand why some people are so insecure about wearing glasses. There is zero shame in being nearsighted and rocking frames. These days, you can find basically any style you want at any shop. It blows my mind that people won't even take a simple step to fix their own comfort.
🤣William Thomas3, you'd be better off just getting LASIK. Or maybe just DIY it in your garage.

Since when did wearing contact lenses become a sign of an inferiority complex? To be fair, I feel physically better with contacts, but there's also a certain sense of security that comes with them. As for this "comfort" you're talking about—my version of comfort is not having to worry about frames slipping down my nose, my lenses fogging up every time I step onto a city bus, or being unable to play sports without a struggle. It takes me maybe thirty seconds to put my contacts in or take them out. If you truly believe that losing a single minute of your day 😁 is a massive sacrifice of comfort, then fine, whatever. Otherwise, just let everyone live their lives and stop trying to lecture people. 😁

restlesspilot32 said:Does anyone happen to know what kind of condition could cause itching in the genital area, especially during urination, when the woman shows zero symptoms but he’s clearly infectious and they both need to go on some sort of medication treatment?

I'm assuming this treatment was prescribed by a doctor, so wouldn't they have already identified exactly what the issue is?
Sandra Ross27 said:Man, give me a break. If you're sitting at a -4.00 prescription like I am, you better have some backup glasses. This isn't just about squinting at the TV; it's about driving. Imagine losing a contact lens and being totally stranded because you can't see a damn thing behind the wheel without your glasses...

My prescription is a -3.5, so there isn't much of a difference. Without my contacts, I am effectively blind. I own glasses, but they're based on an old prescription, so they basically only serve the purpose of helping me stumble around the house for twenty minutes before I hit the sack. I once wore them to walk a few feet from my apartment to drop something off for a neighbor, and I saw well enough to walk right past her because I didn't realize it was her standing there.😳
The point is, you can definitely manage without them, just like Edward Green mentioned. I went three whole years without any glasses at all, and now I've gone and gotten these lousy things that I don't even want.
Of course, it's smarter to have a backup pair like I suggested in my first post, but you can certainly survive without them.

Picked up some Opti-Free today. I'll let you guys know how it works out tomorrow, though I'm feeling pretty good about it since Complete worked just fine for me.
It’s certainly not a requirement, though you might find it useful to have a pair of glasses specifically for lounging around the house.😉

What, did you try putting L'Oréal mascara on him just because his eyes were bothering him? 👎

(For the record, I'm just messing around; I actually think highly of Walter Hayes5, but don't tell him I said that)

You can find them in any pharmacy, whether you’re hitting up a CVS or one of those specialized holistic shops; it doesn't really matter.

The thing is, I’m low-key terrified of the whole process. I actually tried it, but I just had this massive panic attack thinking some wax was going to drip deep into my ear canal. My mom keeps insisting that it's physically impossible for that to happen, but honestly, I’m still pretty spooked by the idea.

On a side note, I’ve tested this on my dog, and it definitely works—it pulls everything right out. 🙂
(And before anyone starts, we weren't being cruel to the poor thing; she just had some buildup that needed cleaning.)
Linda Campbell said:Following chemo, she drank plenty of juices—beet, black currant, red currant—and now she’s started taking selenium, some enzymes, and vitamins for hair, skin, and nails (based on homeopathy). It was all recommended by an oncologist who also practices homeopathy; we're just waiting on the second cycle now. That doctor even suggested mistletoe injections, though she needs to review the lab results first. Her hair actually started falling out yesterday. I’m honestly feeling hopeless. I need to find a wig, fast. Is there any chance the shedding might slow down? And how is she even going to make it through the second cycle when the first one nearly wiped her out? Maybe she didn't have enough strength to begin with, and now I'm just overloading her system. Or perhaps things are even more complicated because she doesn't have a stomach. It's pure desperation.

When is her second cycle scheduled? In about a month?
The hair isn't going to stop falling out if we're talking about this specific chemo regimen; it's perfectly normal for it to start this quickly, and unfortunately, it won't stop until everything is gone...
Just take it easy; your despair is the last thing anyone needs right now. 😘
Besides, the selection for wigs is massive these days. You can find stuff that looks so real people won't even realize it isn't natural hair.

Kate Cox2 said:By the way, have you noticed how some Johnson & Johnson products are packaged in sets of 3 lenses ? I honestly can't wrap my head around it. Why three? Is that supposed to be like having a spare button in your sewing kit or something?

Yeah, take this one for example. Nobody seems to know what's actually going on there, even though they're dirt cheap. $50.

Lensway hasn't bothered to update their website in what feels like two centuries. Even the packaging has looked different for at least two years now. Just take a look at these photos and tell me I'm not crazy:

versus the old version they have on Lensway here.
