Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Honestly, they're a disaster. After just a few days, my libido completely tanked, I'm dealing with dryness, and I'm totally disappointed—especially considering the price tag.

So, there you go, in case anyone is on the fence.

Oh, and most importantly, my skin hasn't improved at all. So far, it’s just been nothing but side effects.

Regardless, I decided to go with Logest 😁
.

It was $15 a few years back, but it should be somewhere around $50...

Wait, I don't get it. How can there be such a massive price gap?

Honestly, I don't see how they can even sell drugs that aren't approved here in the States.
It’s a total rip-off, no matter how you look at it. Plus, gynecologists hand these out like candy; none of them will actually prescribe Diane on a standard prescription.

On another note, I have a question for the group. Is anyone here taking Yaz? I just got back from my gynecologist, and after dealing with all sorts of side effects from Triquilar, Trinovum, and Yasmin, we decided to try either Yaz or Logest. If those don't work out, we'll consider taking a longer break.

Since I experienced incredibly painful periods while on Yasmin, and Yaz is quite similar, Dr. Harris mentioned there’s a chance those symptoms could return. However, he still recommends Yaz over Logest. I understand how both brands function, but I would really appreciate hearing about someone else's actual experience with Yaz.

Also, how does one go about ordering it at a pharmacy in downtown Chicago?🙂

They recommended it to me at Harnier, but I haven't actually started taking it yet.

Hey Ali, I just popped into the Walgreens right next door to the old warehouse. Picked them up without even ordering ahead, but man, they aren't cheap. $147😲I almost passed out when that guy told me the number. Seriously, though—the packaging is only good for three uses.

I used to drink Diane for years, and those things were pricey. Even back then, paying about $7 for Yasmin felt like a splurge (now it's closer to $8), and now I’m looking at a dose every three months. $147 I’m a disaster. It feels like I only ever work for pharma or related industries—think stuff like beer, face creams, probiotics, contact lens solutions, you name it.

So, who hasn't started asking about this thing yet? I'm waiting to hear some actual commentary.

Has anyone actually heard of these miracle drops? Curious if anyone has used them.

Apparently, they aren't just for skin; people are saying they work for eye issues too, so you drop them directly in. I've heard they sting, but is it actually safe??

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this specific product or even the general effects of aloe vera on/in the eyes.

Thanks.
Acne, weight gain... is it Yasmin? in Women's Health ·
Alright, ladies... my skin from Yasmin (just like it was with Dianama before) is flawless. Unfortunately, everything else is totally out of whack. My period lasts a full seven days now. I’m not experiencing pain, but then again, I didn't have any before the pill either. Honestly, back when I had a few months' break about two years ago, my skin broke out so badly I looked like a total wreck. I always told myself the side effects were worth it as long as my complexion stayed clear.

But lately—for more than six months now—my libido has been at absolute zero. I just don't feel like it... ever. And that isn't normal or acceptable to me. I've scheduled an appointment with my doctor, but they'll basically just tell me what I already know: choose between clear skin on the pill or having sex on the shots. (And trust me, that choice is much harder than it looks. 🙄)

Sophia Castillo35 said:How do I make a link with a custom name?
The PHP Code is giving me a bit of trouble here; instead of showing my custom text, it just spits out the raw HTML. It’s way more complicated than it needs to be. 😬
That's why I'm going to put a star * inside the code (just to stop it from rendering into the actual link). I'll show you what the result looks like right below the code, as usual.
You type: [*url=http://www.website.com]Page Name[/url]
You get: Page Name

Can someone explain this a little more simply? For example, I don't even know what a URL is, let alone where those brackets go.
I don't get why you guys on the men's forums spend all your time reading threads about white laundry🤔

I was at Gudeljica's. She was incredibly kind, helpful, and gentle.😉

Well, I actually went ahead and ordered from the specialist.

Look, while all those infant deaths are absolutely horrific, there are surely hundreds of babies out there who are healthy and thriving. I’m not making excuses for anyone, but people make mistakes when they work—it's just that in this case, the consequences are tragic.

I honestly don't know what to think about any of this. It feels a bit ridiculous how someone can be doing great, and then one sensationalist headline in the news ruins everything.

And now I've completely forgotten what I was actually trying to say.
It’s the same deal if you have a surgeon who’s an alcoholic—their hand starts shaking.

...or anything else that significantly ramps up the risk.

Let’s be honest: very few doctors are willing to admit when they’ve reached their limit. They struggle to address actual risks to the patient, or even just treat them like a fellow human being.
She’s just a student right now—maybe one day she'll become a top-tier expert—but I doubt she'll ever truly develop empathy for the people whose lives are actually in her hands.

I'd be happy to point you toward the nearest border crossing and 👋

I'm guessing
- you didn't find it "disgusting" to get an education funded by American taxpayers?
- you'll suddenly lose that disgust when you need a doctor?
- you still want to claim you're enlightened and open-minded?
jadesailor14, I'm with you on this one.
Ava said:Well, she’s acting out because she’s a med student...

So does being a med student mean her opinion is automatically gospel? 👎 Or did she just get called out because, eventually, someone is going to question whether her own health affects her ability to do the job?

Look, you're entitled to your opinion, but the idea that someone's illness is strictly their own business doesn't hold up here. From a legal standpoint (without me digging through the Constitution for the specific clause): individual liberty ends where another person's rights begin. That means no one gets to exercise their right—in this case, privacy—if it violates the rights of another, like a patient's right to be informed of potential risks.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a doctor with HIV if it was a routine checkup that didn't involve high-risk contact (so, excluding dentists, surgeons, or OB-GYNs), and maybe even for something minor like a visit to an esthetician.

And seriously, who else besides Hannah Scott69 would compare HIV/AIDS to having sex with a Black man?

I was at Dr. Gudelj's clinic in Harny. She’s brilliant—totally gentle. Honestly, I didn't feel a thing during the procedure... highly recommend.

Roughly how much does a checkup at Harney cost? Just a standard physical, blood work, urine test, all that kind of thing.

I dive using standard goggles. Honestly, whenever I get back from the coast, I usually just pick up a new pair.

I don't really have any issues with my gear, whether I'm out during the day or at night...

Can anyone drop some addresses for places I should check out? My dad wants to take me to see one of his friends, but I'm honestly a little nervous about it. It’s just some small-town hospital without much equipment, and I'm worried about what might happen if things go sideways.

I used to wear them for about 10 or 11 months out of the year. Now, I’ve switched to the Bausch & Lomb 3-month ones and they’re working out great. I rarely bother with the cleaning tablets because honestly, they're a hassle, but they come in handy when my eyes feel extra tired and I need to give the lenses a deep clean.

It’s actually a good idea not to pop the lenses straight back in right after using the tablets; letting them soak in some fresh solution for a bit first is much better.
