You need a full workup—CBC, CRP, Iron, UIBC, transaminases, maybe a throat swab. And a proper exam.

I have no idea why....

The bloodwork was mostly done (if I could actually make sense of what I read between the lines) because my sedimentation rate was normal. They prescribed this antibiotic as if the first dose didn't even touch the infection....

...and these weird readings weren't even factored in, so I don't know what they mean. I can't tell if they're tied to the inflammation or if they're just independent blood issues unrelated to my strep throat.

Hemoglobin - 136 (138-175)
Hematocrit - 0.434 (0.415-0.530)
MCV - 78.6 (83-97.2)
MCH - 24.6 (27.4-33.9)
MCHC - 314 (320-345)
RDW 12.8 (9-15)
Platelets - 201 (158-424)
MPV - 8 (6.8-10.4)
WBC - 11.6 (3.4-9.7)

ESR - 9 (2-13)

I’ve been dealing with a throat infection that wouldn't budge even after finishing a course of Augmentin, so I went in for blood work. Based on these results, my doctor switched me over to Klavocin.

Aside from the elevated white cell count—which clearly shows the infection is still hanging on—do these other deviations point to anything else?

An STD is ruled out.
It was just a mild infection. I finished a course of antibiotics, but the symptoms wouldn't budge. So, I had a urine culture done, and everything came back fine.

Urine culture results came back sterile

So there's no infection, yet the symptoms aren't going anywhere. I'm dealing with frequent urination (intense pressure that forces me to go immediately) and a slight stinging sensation in the urethra at the tip of the penis.....

Dear Doctor, please don't take this the wrong way. I didn't phrase my question to undermine your knowledge or expertise. I realize that as a layman, I can't properly interpret these results or determine the right course of treatment...

I just wanted to explain my situation. I wasn't actually sent for these tests by a doctor; I just had them done privately for preventative reasons. Everything seems fine, except for my urine work, which isn't terrible, but... so I started taking a herbal supplement with antibacterial properties...

That's why I asked. In my experience, plenty of doctors just wave their hands at a result like mine and tell you to go drink some herbal tea instead of actually doing anything.

You mentioned these results point toward a UTI, but since I'm not actually feeling any symptoms or having any trouble, I didn't bother seeing a doctor for meds. Instead, I've just been taking CITROFIT—hopefully, that does the trick...

I just got my KKS results back and everything is within the normal range except for

K-MCH 27.3 REF. VALUE 27.4-33.9
K-MCHC 315 REF. VALUE 320-345

So, these two numbers are slightly low. What do these abbreviations actually mean, and can anyone give me their take on these results?

Prozac 20mg in the morning

Lexapro 1/2, 1/2, then 1 of 3mg
I've been on a similar regimen. Regarding Lexapro—personally, I find it works better than Xanax because it doesn't leave me feeling so dead inside that everyone else notices I'm medicated.

Regarding the drugs, I agree there are way too many to test for everything, but that's not what I meant. I was asking if taking Zoloft changes a standard blood panel enough for doctors to conclude someone is on antidepressants based on their levels.

Don't sweat it. Nobody is going to find out you're using Adderall. Even if they decide to run a full toxicology screen, you've got nothing to worry about.

Lately, my joints have been popping constantly. It’s not just the occasional click here and there—it happens every single time I move.

What’s actually causing this? And more importantly, how do I fix it?

I’ve been taking Glucosamine, but honestly, I’m not feeling any difference at all.
