Well, there’s not much to say about diabetes...

My mom manages her blood sugar entirely through diet alone. Beans are a staple, plus some dandelion greens... It’s wild how much nature provides if you actually bother to look. Such a shame people just ignore it.

Regardless, sticking to a strict diabetic diet and eating small meals five or six times a day is non-negotiable.

Why go straight to a doctor?
My mom's all worked up because her daughter is getting married... honestly, who wouldn't have a headache under those circumstances?🙂

Just kidding... mostly.

Maybe try some herbal drops—a mix of ginkgo, valerian, and rosemary. Try finding some from a local herbalist rather than that processed stuff you find at CVS. And she should probably just lock herself in a dark, quiet room until her nerves settle down.

Good luck!

My suggestion:

Steep 2 barberry flowers in 2 dl of olive oil for about 10 days before using.
It’s best to keep everything in a glass bottle. Don't bother straining the flowers out of the oil.
Barberry isn't blooming just yet, but once it does, anyone tired of using harsh chemicals can whip up this double-strength salve. It worked for me, my mom, and my friends, so give it a shot. It won't hurt.

And listen... you need to keep things moving smoothly😬 and maintain regular bowel movements, otherwise...😈

I’ve never heard anyone claim that using St. John's Wort while tanning is dangerous. I’ve been doing it for years and my skin has never looked better, nor have I ever had a better tan...
And I’ve never once burned—quite the opposite, actually. My mom and I used to spend hours out on the rocks and never dealt with burns or even redness. No one is going to talk me out of using St. John's Wort.

St. John's Wort soothes the skin, and you can even drink it as a tea since it settles everything from your nerves to your stomach.
As for olive oil—honestly, it's one of the best things nature has ever provided us.

A dermatologist would probably just try to sell you some chemical concoction; that serves their interests, not mine.

At any rate, it's worth experimenting. Everyone's skin is different, so you should just see what works best for you.

Christian Castillo60 said:I’ve moved past most of that crap, except for the hand washing. Honestly, I don't think I need a specialist in Psychology for that—just a regular doctor, though I don't quite have the guts to bring it up to them.
I just told my therapist straight up: this is an OCD issue. You have to stop all the counting and those stupid rituals because nothing bad is actually going to happen. And thank God, it isn't. It doesn't mess with my head anymore, just the constant washing and sanitizing.

Given how much we touch stuff and handle things with our hands, I don't even see this as a real problem...😉

You guys have completely confused me with all these stories... honestly, I think we’re all a little OCD in our own way. For instance, I find myself counting every living thing I see and can't seem to stop at certain lines—though not always. Sometimes it just happens, and I don't really care. And yeah, occasionally I'll double-check if the door is locked, usually right after someone else locks it, just to make sure they actually did it.😬

The human mind is one giant, messy knot, and we're probably never going to fully wrap our heads around it.

Sure, why not... once you find those magical herbs that only bloom under a full moon, just toss them in. Even better. :-)

mistybear20 said:Where do you even find St. John's Wort infused in olive oil? I've looked everywhere and can't find it pre-mixed, just the ingredients separately, which isn't worth the cost.

Just make it yourself. Grab some high-quality domestic olive oil and about 50 flowers of St. John's Wort (just search Google Images if you need to see what they look like) picked from somewhere coastal with clean air.
Let the mixture sit for a month, even in the sun, until it turns deep red. Then strain it and use it.
It’s hands down the best thing for regenerating and soothing damaged skin.
When I'm at the beach, I spend all day in the sun using nothing but this, and I never get burned—my skin stays incredibly soft.

Seriously, stop buying pharmacy brands or mass-produced stuff; who knows what's actually in there. If you can't make it yourself, just head to a local farmers market when you're seaside and buy from someone local. Anything heavily processed or loaded with "E-number" additives and preservatives is bad news for those of us dealing with psoriasis.

I tried reading through everything, but I lost steam once I hit that back-and-forth argument with MacGregor.

I've been dealing with psoriasis for about 18 years now—basically two decades.
Elbows, palms, feet, nails... it’s a mess. Honestly, I've made my peace with it and don't let it get to me, though my elbows can be a bit of a pain. Whatever.

Here is the routine I stick to when I really need things to improve:
Cut out meat—try it for at least a month and you'll see a difference, 100%.
Cut out all fats except olive oil.
Vegetables, vegetables, fruit, grains, then more vegetables... you get the idea.
Omega 3 is a must.
Duovit multivitamins.
Vitamin D drops.
And Labolan cream.
In between, I use St. John's Wort infused in olive oil—it works wonders.

When I actually follow this regimen and happen to be by the coast, it clears right up.
But I'll admit, I lack the discipline sometimes, so I slip up and have to start all over again.
Bone Marrow Donation in Health ·
I swung by the Mayo Clinic Tissue Center yesterday; they're open from 8 to 12
Monday through Thursday. You can eat or grab a coffee beforehand since it doesn't affect this specific test.

I signed the consent form to be added to the stem cell donor registry and gave a little blood for the analysis. That was it for my first visit.

The odds of actually getting called as a donor are pathetic... and it honestly breaks my heart feeling this helpless.
I'm furious at myself for waiting this long. I kept putting it off for stupid daily errands... and now Ana has left without even saying goodbye.
