I guess I just have to say what's on my mind...
Any reasonable business leader wouldn't dream of discriminating against their employees based on whether they smoke or not...
It’s also incredibly important for the employer...
I won't get into whether they're looking ahead at how long that worker stays on the job or what their health insurance costs might look like, because then we'd have to start considering people just sitting around on Coke sipping drinks without lifting a finger, but...
This is just one of the many reasons why smokers end up doing more harm than good...👎
So there's no smoking allowed in the offices or around here, but if you're out on the balcony or in a designated room, I don't really see what the issue is...
If you want to smoke at home wherever you like without anyone complaining, then go ahead and have all five...
Who would actually want an irritable worker who automatically kills their own productivity with their bad attitude and then just passes that stress onto everyone else on the team...
It looks like you really have all the tricks down... 😁 What kind of employer—and what kind of colleagues—would actually need to step up their game just to keep us happy...😁 Addiction treatment shouldn't be handled within the corporate offices themselves... 👎 Just like I wouldn't let a smoker blow smoke in my face, I wouldn't tolerate them taking their addiction out on me...
I still remember my first job at an ice cream parlor... they told me I couldn't mention that I smoked or they wouldn't hire me. I really needed the work, so I just did what they said...
I've been thinking about nothing but a cigarette all day; by the end of my shift, I'll be ready to kill for one...
I'm sorry, but this is already for medical treatment...👎
I would have stepped outside, one cigarette after another, just standing there in the plaza as the number 6 streetcar rolled by... I'd still be smoking... complete intoxication... every single nerve in my body was going wild...
And who exactly should be blamed for those frayed nerves of yours?
Honestly, any kind of discrimination against smokers just feels disgusting to me...
So we're actually the same, because I feel that same level of repulsion toward smokers myself😁
It’s starting to feel like this is just some trend used when people run out of inspiration to fight other actual issues...
This isn't anything new. If things were like they used to be in Canada, where smokers could claim their rights and step outside for fresh air instead of being forced to inhale the smoke of someone else's passion indoors, these drastic measures to protect our rights as non-smokers wouldn't even exist today...👍
jadetiger10, I really hope you aren't facing a total prohibition over there...👍
Hey...🙂
No, I don't care what you do in your own free time. Go ahead and host a massive smoke fest if you want, just do it out in a field—not in restaurants, banks, or any public spaces
