Helix piercing advice? in Health ·
Yeah, I tried piercing my septum twice (?!) and failed both times: first attempt, I only managed to puncture the skin, which obviously couldn't hold anything after two weeks and just fell out... hm. It didn't even hurt then, but the second time (yeah, I'm that stubborn), it got so infected about a month later that I almost ended up in surgery. My advice? Just don't do it.
OB/GYN Discussion Thread in Women's Health ·
pipita5 said:Hey! So, I just read through EVERY single post—there are exactly 55 gynecologists mentioned for the city area (no more, no less!). Wow... that's a lot!🙄

Someone asked why I don't just go to my mom's doctor—well, my mom actually just told me to find someone else because her doctor is absolutely terrible!
And from the one I've seen so far? She was an absolute nightmare of a woman!!!!!!!!😈

Most of you suggested private practices—the ones getting the most praise are: Harni + Gudelj(ignoring those random newspaper ads), then Latin(Vili Clinic), Husar(the downtown area), Mazelin (the Eljuga clinic), and Fistonić(over on Preradović Ave) as much as they can be!

Among those who aren't private but were listed as better options: Čurić(University Hospital), Chedid(the suburbs), Podobnik(Merkur-Zajčeva), Wahid(suburbs), Pavlek(judging by a few posts—the East Side)

As for those you say are totally NOT for women: Topalović(lots of negative feedback—University Hospital), Grujić(Zvijezda private), Gregov(University Hospital), Mador(ESPECIALLY—zero positives here), Marčeta(Dugave), Kovačević(downtown); KONRAD NIŽETIĆ, Dropulić, Banović

Anyway—that’s not everyone you mentioned, but those are roughly the most talked-about ones!
Still have no clue where I'm going to go.... 😕

I seriously have to tell you guys about PODOBNIK and what he did (or rather, failed to do) to a friend of mine, and later it turned out he did the same to another person. This friend went to him for years, regularly—at least twice a year for checkups. Her dad wasn't perfect (based on how much she understood things) over the last four years, but the famous Podobnik would always tell her whenever she expressed any concern: "Oh, it's nothing, everything's great, you're young, you're healthy, nothing to worry about..." But it kept eating at her, like she felt something was wrong. So she went to a different gynecologist, this one ran tests, sent her for an HPV test, and it turned out she was positive. They did a biopsy, and it was CIN III—they told her she'd been dealing with it for a long time....
And that same Podobnik made the exact same mistake with another acquaintance (who later found out she had the same doctor) and who ended up needing a LEEP procedure or whatever it's called... SO, ladies, if you want to know about Podobnik, take everything bad you hear about him.
Psoriasis [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
Hey everyone. I wanted to drop a quick note about the link between psoriasis and stress, using my dad as an example.
My old man has been dealing with psoriasis for 30 years now. Usually, his skin fluctuates based on what he eats and the season—he’s great in the summer, but winters are pretty rough. Up until now, those shifts have always been gradual.
But a few days ago, things went south fast. He felt sick—likely because of that strict prep diet he had to follow before a colonoscopy, and honestly, a fever probably didn't help either. Right along with the nausea, he felt this intense, searing burning sensation all over his body. Within thirty minutes, his entire body was covered in a flare-up, including spots that have never even been touched by psoriasis before!??
And nothing has cleared up yet....
Anyone else dealt with something like this?
