bluecobra522 said:Look, let’s be real here. I don't have time to go swimming. Between working, studying, walking the dog, having a girlfriend, and living with my brother—plus, I don't have parents to worry about, so any spare second I actually manage to find just gets swallowed up by whatever random crap pops up... Lately, I've been intentionally eating total junk just to gain some weight, but nothing works. Not toasted sandwiches, not pizza, not even McDonald's. I'm slamming ice cream and chips for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, washing it all down with a liter of milk a day...

So, what, you want me to draft a whole meal plan for you? Honestly, the most critical part of the day is breakfast. Given how much you're eating, three or four eggs, a tin of tuna, a decent amount of bread, and half a liter of milk should probably be your baseline. Lunch and dinner aren't even that vital in comparison. Though, looking at the younger crowd these days, it seems like barely anyone even bothers to grab a quick bite in the morning..

How can you say you don't have time for swimming? I’m not suggesting you hit the pool every single day; surely finding ten days out of the year is doable! Even hitting the local pool just a couple of times a week for an hour or two isn't like it's impossible to squeeze into a schedule.

What kind of protein are we even talking about? You know, summer is right around the corner, and I’ve been thinking about getting back into the swing of things—swimming several kilometers every single day (well, if I can manage it, which would be ideal!), all while keeping up with a solid diet. I’m planning on sticking to plenty of eggs, lots of tuna—that's a big one for me—dairy products, various meats, and, honestly, quite a bit of alcohol too.

It’ll sweep you off your feet, honestly, just go try it, though I really don't think at seventeen you're quite equipped to recognize where those lines are that you're about to cross.

Does anyone happen to have an emoji for someone facepalming right now?

Larry Wells2 said:So, I'm writing this because I'm planning on trying drugs for the first time. I'm 17 and a junior in high school. Just a heads-up: don't bother trying to talk me out of it, because I'm going to do this regardless of whatever stupid comments you leave. I guess I've just reached a point where I feel like I've done everything else and I want to try something new. To be clear, I haven't even touched weed yet. I have zero interest in smoking that. But all my friends are into speed now, and now this other friend is pushing us to try cocaine. Money isn't the issue. I'm just stuck on what to actually go with, so I wanted to hear about your experiences. What's the best way to get a real high without being a total zombie for 24 hours? I'm thinking about doing something Saturday night so that by maybe 2 or 3 in the morning on Sunday, I'm somewhat functional, though I still want the experience to actually hit.

Honestly, what kind of smoke screen is this? You should tell the boss there are plenty of much simpler ways to get this done. 😁
I've been sitting here thinking about whether we should just settle for a fractional point—maybe a third or even a fifth of a point—for those unresolved cases, or if we should simply go ahead and scrap those disputed points entirely from the tally.

It’s funny how Mile always says, "It isn't all about the money, just drugs and drinks for the ladies," 🙂 though I honestly can't quite wrap my head around what he means by that, unless he's implying something else entirely... 😁

Jeremy Phillips54 said:But seriously, what exactly makes the Italian bid so much better? It feels like a total joke of a setup with stadiums that are in worse shape than ours.

Still, I have a feeling they’re going to pull it off. My uncle was hanging out with Zvone about 6 or 7 months ago, and Zvone was telling him it’s basically a done deal—that the Italians just need the EP to fund all their stadium renovations and new builds.

And even having Platini on board isn't going to change much regarding the EP itself. I mean, I’m glad he won, though; maybe he can finally shake things up and get that old man moving a little.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm rooting for them—quite the opposite, really, as I find their whole culture and mindset to be pretty grating—but if we are being completely objective, how can we even compete?

The only reason they would win is under the guise of "popularizing and developing soccer" or something along those lines, specifically targeting those smaller regions. It's essentially a way to jumpstart development for facilities, boost stadium attendance, and expand the footprint toward the East and such.

Sure, we have the official stamps of approval from the government and mayors, but let's be real: money talks, and when it comes to the Italians, the cash flow is never really in question. You're looking at guaranteed sell-out crowds, top-tier stadiums, and massive popularity; plus, being World Champions provides plenty of leverage for their selection. But again, I'll say it: money makes the world go round...

Brandon Castillo4 said:It’s honestly pretty naive—borderline elementary school level stupid—to think that Platini is going to back whatever candidacy those specific countries voted for. It doesn't work like that. He’s going to pick whoever serves his interests best, and trust me, there are plenty of other moving parts in this deal beyond just who cast which ballot. There are clearly people out there who think politics is just one big game of revenge, but thank God the real world doesn't actually operate on spite.

If we're talking about picking the absolute highest quality bid, then the Italian candidacy is clearly the winner here. And honestly, who even gives a damn if some single club gets relegated to a lower division? If those kinds of rigid regulations were actually enforced back home in the States, I don't think a single professional franchise would even be standing today.

So, there you have it—that's my take on the superior candidate.

I mean, is it even worth mentioning that Platini is a total legend for an AC Milan icon?

Why doesn't this kind of nonsense happen to Greek clubs, for instance?
Why don't teams like Olympiakos or Panathinaikos have to deal with these ridiculous headaches—essentially becoming "hostages" to their own fans?

What’s actually the difference between groups like Gate7 or 13 and the Boys? Are they simply (more intelligent?) or more self-aware than you lot?

Maybe they all just live in perfect harmony with the Executive Vice President😁

But jokes aside, that interruption over in Lithuania really wasn't necessary, especially since the match in Switzerland was just a friendly anyway. And as for everything else, it's either just some flares or people hanging out outside the stadium...
Liverpool FC knocked out of the UEFA Cup in Soccer ·
UEFA has taken a decisive new stance regarding Liverpool FC, the former kings of the continent. Seeing a powerhouse like the Dutch club tossed out of European competition mid-season is quite a shock to the system, and honestly, it’s a development that feels particularly heavy for those of us watching from the States. My mind immediately drifts back to Real Madrid and that endless, messy dossier involving the BBB incidents during their European campaigns—even if we just look at the chaos from the early 2000s.

While I think the fight against hooliganism is absolutely pohvalan, and there's a real necessity to bring some order to these high-stakes matches, it certainly raises some eyebrows regarding the future prospects for our guys at Yankee Stadium. Things won't be ever the same after what happened to Liverpool FC, and while I wouldn't go so far as to say The Blues are the very next ones on the chopping block, they are definitely among the primary candidates under scrutiny. I suppose I don't even need to elaborate on what this kind of instability means for the state of club football here in America.

The management at Real Madrid, much like the leadership at many other major American clubs lately, hasn't exactly found a reliable way to break through on the big European stage. Now, even if they manage to assemble a top-tier squad, one single significant outburst could effectively end their European journey for a very long time. It all brings me back vividly to 1997, when Real Madrid traveled to face Grasshopper. About eight thousand fans from the city descended upon New York City, causing upwards of $150,000 in damages.

The reports coming out at the time spoke of racist outbursts from certain individuals and groups, people spitting at Black Americans on the streets and in the subways. But the absolute peak of the drama unfolded right at the Hardturm stadium.

"We held both Canjuga and the USA in our grip. We felt more powerful than ever; it all rested on whether we could keep the club in Europe," were the kinds of sentiments we used to hear echoing from the BBB.

Back then, being completely at odds with the club's front office, the BBB pushed the team to the very brink of elimination, where just one more major incident would have sealed their fate. There’s even a legend about an internal clash between different factions of fans—those throwing the flares and those trying to stop them. Fortunately, the match reached its conclusion, and The Blues were able to celebrate a 5-0 victory to advance to the next round.

Now, it feels as though history is preparing to repeat itself; the BBB might be more influential than ever, and their behavior will heavily dictate Real Madrid's future in Europe. Just as they "held Canjuga and the USA in their grip" back in '97, the situation is mirrored today with Real Madrid. However, UEFA has tightened the leash significantly, so even a mere repeat of the mess they caused in Auxerre last year could be enough to get them exiled. And let's be honest, the relationship between the BBB and the club's brass isn't exactly a picture of harmony these days either. While local police can handle things at Yankee Stadium, the risks during away trips are immeasurably higher for Real Madrid.

A timeline of European incidents since 2000:

AUGUST 2000.
Pure mayhem in the heart of Milan. Chairs from cafes around Times Square were flying everywhere, leaving 20 people injured.

JULY 2002.
A small sports center in Faaker See was left in ruins, a place where families and children had gathered. Suddenly, tables and chairs were launched into the air, and hooligans clashed violently with a small contingent of police.

JULY 2003.
In the 68th minute, the final match of a tournament in the peaceful Swiss town of Kriens was halted while Real Madrid faced off against Partizan.

AUGUST 2003.
Roughly 70 Real Madrid fans were kicked out of Ukraine following a brawl in a cafe in Kyiv.

JULY 2006.
In the 19th minute of the Ekranas vs. Real Madrid BBB match, fans stormed the pitch, forcing a temporary stoppage. After a few minutes, play resumed.

SEPTEMBER 2006.
About five hundred BBB supporters accompanied The Blues to Auxerre, and by the 3rd minute, they were already tossing flares onto the field. Play lasted for three minutes before being interrupted again in the 9th minute due to more flare activity. By the 30th minute, the fans "ramped up the action" by ripping seats out of the stands and hurling them onto the pitch.

It seems people have already forgotten several other interruptions in European matches since the turn of the millennium. 😁Who gives a damn, I suppose; surely even we deserve at least two seasons of peace in our forty years of following them.🤣

The way I see it, this kind of approach just hands even more unchecked power directly to the fans. If you aren't feeling the vibe from the front office, what happens next? You basically demand they kick the club right out of European competition, or worse, demote them all the way down to the fifth division...

Wishing everyone nothing but health and wellness, because honestly, once you have that, everything else just seems to fall into place much more easily.

As for those of us who consider ourselves a bit more wise—though I say that with a wink—we’re planning to use this upcoming week as a bit of a reset period. We’ll take the time to unwind, clear our heads, and get back into peak shape, so that by the following week, we can jump right back into our usual routine with full momentum. 😉

We’re going to find our way back to those days of old-school glory; those moments of pure pride and prestige will return. Some people might jump on the bandwagon then, but there will always be those of us standing by this club unconditionally.

Dinamo Chicago 👋 👋

And to all you "glory hunters" and "Anglophiles" out there, just remember one thing: to them, you aren't actually fans of Olympique de Marseille or Paris Saint-Germain; you're just common folks from the outskirts who don't have a local team to call your own, so you settle for someone else's greatness. You can keep sucking up to them if you want, but we’re going to go in there this Thursday and absolutely wreck them, proving once and for all that trophies and success have nothing to do with true loyalty to the club. 😉 They can play their fancy modern football, they can boast about having the most talented youngsters or the flashiest, highest-paid halftime shows, but as far as I'm concerned, they're completely worthless—just like FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC, or Ekranas.

Boys are back on the road ... ihaaa 😁

Speaking of Marseille, I actually took the biggest beating of my entire life as a supporter while I was over there. And it wasn't even from the Marseille ultras, but from some guys from the Middle East. In that city, it feels like the Arab and African communities are the ones really running the show, while the locals feel more like a minority in their own home 😁

We really ought to head back there again, just to show those pretenders what real grit looks like 😁

I’m not even going to dignify that one guy's performance with a response; instead, I’ll just focus on the absolute genius who thinks his little $6.75 is somehow saving our league... TC TC... honestly, our domestic league is a total mess because all the young, highly trained talent—the exact players who should be stepping up to the big leagues right now—are being pushed out to some random third-tier team in the Midwest or some fourth-division club in rural Austria! Who am I supposed to help by supporting these entry fees, huh, Mom? Viva Olympique de Marseille. Hasta la victoria siempre!

And you aren't exactly easy to dismiss yourself... definitely getting major points for that macho energy and the heavy use of caps lock 😉

So, I recently picked up a copy of Men’s Health—it seemed like a solid choice for staying on top of things, you know?—but I’ve been flipping through it and noticed something quite glaringly absent: there isn't a single article addressing the heavy, lingering ache of unrequited love. It’s a bit of a letdown, really. Honestly, I’m struggling quite a bit; these thoughts about ending it all have been weighing on me more and more lately. Can anyone offer some guidance or perhaps just a bit of support? 😕

Today I was scrolling through the forum reading posts by nimblemarlin17, and honestly, he has become my new absolute idol. He is a true supporter of Dinamo Chicago, a genuine football fanatic who really understands the nuances of the beautiful game. You can just tell he actually knows what’s happening on the pitch.

I noticed that when someone went on a rant claiming that journalists are nothing more than paid-off trash, he stepped in and said that simply isn't the case. My goodness, the way he defends his stance! I just love that macho energy he brings to the conversation; I wish I could talk to him for hours. 😍

Back when Etto first arrived at Dinamo Chicago, he claimed the guy was the most pathetic player ever. Yet here I am today, reading the papers and seeing that he’s actually been rated as the best player on the squad! Those idiot reporters—I told everyone they're all to blame for this mess—but then nimblemarlin17 turned around and said they were being positive and sincere. It has left me completely bewildered.

nimblemarlin17 even remarked that the Dinamo Chicago fans are just hooligans and morons, total drunks, but then I turn on the news and see articles claiming they are the best fans in the world. It must be those journalists again, but if that's the case, why on earth was he defending them? 😕

Actually, it doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things, nimblemarlin17; consider this my way of asking you out on a date. I was a bit too nervous to send a private message, so I figured I would just say it publicly like this. I really, truly adore you and find myself wanting to spend the rest of my life by your side. That macho attitude of yours... it just makes my heart melt.
