I spent the whole summer soaking up the sun, so I’ve definitely got a tan to show for it!😁

One of them even has special permission🤣

My main goal is to avoid putting on those extra twenty pounds and just stay active for as long as I can.😁
Now that the school year is kicking off, I'm diving back into my fitness routine.
I'd love to hear any suggestions you all might have!
How to perform a proper breast self-exam? in Women's Health ·
My gynecologist usually handles my breast exams during my routine checkups, but since I see mine privately, maybe that’s why things feel different...

I make sure to perform self-exams regularly myself, mostly because there’s a history of breast cancer in my family—my grandmother passed away from it.
To be honest, I can't say for certain if I'm doing the technique perfectly, but my doctor emphasized how vital regular self-checks are. The idea is that once you become truly familiar with what your breasts normally look and feel like, you'll be able to spot even the tiniest changes, which is when you really need to reach out to a professional.

Also, timing is everything! It’s best to do these checks about ten days after the first day of your cycle. During that specific window, your breasts tend to feel tender and the glands can feel a bit swollen, so they aren't exactly in their "normal" state.
How to stay motivated to work out? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
ironnomad12 said:I honestly think I need a personal trainer just to get me moving. Does anyone know where I can find one? 😁

Honestly, you have to be your own biggest cheerleader.😉

Personally, I really admire people who prioritize their health—looking good is definitely a nice perk—but for me, nothing beats that incredible rush you get right after a solid workout. It’s hard to beat that feeling.😁

That's why I don't believe in forcing yourself through a routine that feels like a chore. You should find something actually fun.
For me, playing badminton is a blast.
I wouldn't say I'm exactly a pro or anything, but it's so fast-paced and unpredictable that it keeps me on my toes!👍

It’s the truth—after a little while, you develop this sort of addiction to it. At least, that’s certainly been my experience.🤷

If I miss a workout, I honestly feel pretty miserable and out of sorts.😢

Honestly, nothing seems to be doing the trick.
Here is my current struggle😢

I really need to get serious about my diet.🤔

Mostly just need to stop overindulging.😳

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments!
I do Lilith Pilates yoga, though I also squeeze in some home workouts with Renata whenever my schedule allows. I dabble in dancing, rolling, and just about everything else under the sun. I suppose I’m your classic fitness enthusiast who just loves keeping things fresh and changing up the routine.😉

Hercegovka, Nancy Campbell5, Morgan Torres, Gutaperka, Tyler Ross86, and Nicole Edwards56—thank you all!

And now, for the replies...😉😁

Nicole Edwards56, hearing that regarding my legs is such a huge compliment. I’m not exactly tall, so I always used to worry that my legs looked far too thin. Not anymore!😬

Here is a photo so you can see how it looks in heels.
(image)image[/IMG]

Tyler Ross86, I actually only own one single pair of sweatpants and I hardly ever wear them. It isn't quite true that I'm constantly in jeans, though I am almost always wearing a skirt.😉

Honestly, I didn't view this as some kind of competition, but rather as a nice little nudge to keep training. I really couldn't care less about competing with the ladies on here. After all, I've been around the block a few times myself!🙂👋😉

And here are some fresh shots I just took!

Anyway, I'm heading out to practice now!
Quick question: anyone else dying in this heat? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I remember one afternoon during an outdoor fitness bootcamp where the heat was absolutely brutal—around 3 PM and hitting nearly 95 degrees. But honestly, with such great music playing and such a wonderful group of people around me, I didn't mind it one bit!😬

I’m usually the complete opposite, though. I’m always freezing, no matter what the weather is like.🤷

I've seen it all before, believe me!
Got plenty of advice out there—some smart, some... not so much.
But hey, just like any other topic on here, 😁

By the way, why are you wearing sunglasses all the time? If you're dealing with light sensitivity, you've got to be super careful when picking out lenses.
And you should probably check in with an eye doctor too, at least that's how it looks from here. 😉

Pusa!

Thanks!

I’ve finally decided to give contact lenses a shot!

To be honest, I rarely step foot outside without my sunglasses (regardless of whether it's summer or winter), and since I'm nearsighted, it makes getting around a bit of a hassle...

Everything my eye doctor told me was pretty straightforward and mostly focused on the technicalities—you know, the whole routine of putting them in, swapping them out, and keeping everything hygienic.

So, if anyone here has gone through this, I would love it if you could share your experiences with me.🙂

I’m curious about everything—the potential headaches, the perks, any complications you might have run into...

I realize everyone's experience is unique, but I'd still really value hearing what others have been through!
Hannah Bishop said:Well, you could just head over to wherever your medical records are currently held, grab them, and take them straight to whichever doctor you'd prefer—maybe someone in NYC.

Don't go rushing into anything just yet; first, you really ought to ask if the doctor you're eyeing actually wants to take over your file.
Some practitioners already have far too many patients on their hands and simply won't accept more. Plus, this kind of thing usually happens toward the end of the year because the physician you're switching to might receive certain reimbursements from the insurance providers, assuming they're actually in-network.
Baroque Chamber in Health ·
Thank you all so much for all the helpful information!

I managed to get her an appointment with a cardiovascular surgeon at Dubrava Bank for tomorrow, so we’ll see what they have to say! I'm really hoping for the best possible outcome!
Baroque Chamber in Health ·
Thanks for all the info, though I’m still feeling a little fuzzy on a few details here🤔

If we're talking about diabetic foot issues, which specialist should actually be the one signing off on a recommendation for the Baroque Chamber? Would that fall under a cardiovascular surgeon, or should I be looking toward an endocrinologist?

Also, does high blood pressure count as a contraindication even if it's being managed properly with medication?

Has anyone here actually gone through this? If so, what were your results like?
I'm mainly curious about how effective it really is regarding specific medical indications.
Baroque Chamber in Health ·
I didn't want to start a whole new thread, but I have a few lingering questions regarding the Baroque Chamber.
Specifically, I’m curious about how effective it actually is for long-term diabetics struggling with poor circulation in their limbs. Does it provide any real therapeutic benefit, or is it primarily used just to get a more precise reading on the exact stage of tissue damage?

Also, what does the referral process look like to access the Baroque Chamber? Do you need a specific specialist to sign off on it, or can a recommendation come from a primary care physician?

And of course, the big question: does Medicare cover the costs, or is this something the patient has to pay for out of pocket? If it's private, what kind of wait times are we looking at, and what is the typical price point for the treatment?

To give some context, my mother-in-law has been living with diabetes for years, and lately, she’s been dealing with vein issues and leg pain so intense she can barely walk. She saw a private phlebologist who suggested the Baroque Chamber, since there isn't much more he can do for her in his own clinic.
Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
If only my backside didn't look like a three-tiered filing cabinet,
if they could just have a tiny bit of stretch, because honestly, they’d be so much more comfortable to wear,
and if they weren't either way too thin or ridiculously deep,
plus, I'd love it if they didn't come covered in glitter, rhinestones, feathers, or any other kind of tacky nonsense.
When I'm sitting down with my coffee, I usually snack on some Amarette biscuits.
For the longest time, they were way too expensive to find locally, so I used to drive all the way over to Italy just to pick them up.
But now, you can actually grab them at the local Metro for a pretty reasonable price—usually around a $6.75 500g bag.
Rhinoplasty recovery: What to expect? in Health ·
nina69 said:I'm planning on getting rhinoplasty and I'm curious about a few details... hopefully you guys can help me out.
1. Does it hurt, and how long do you have to stay in the hospital after the procedure?
2. What's the cost looking like?
3. Is there a minimum age requirement for the surgery?

Well, honestly, it all depends on the specific procedure they perform and whether they use general anesthesia or just local (though I highly doubt it would be just local).
Both my godmother and a close friend of mine went through this.
They both mentioned that the pain isn't actually the worst part; it's more the sheer discomfort caused by all the gauze and nasal packing used afterward.
They dealt with some swelling and dark circles under their eyes for a few days, and naturally, those internal stitches take quite a bit longer to heal than the surface ones.

In my opinion, your best bet is to sit down for a consultation with the surgeon. They’ll be able to walk you through every single detail personally.
