Why do some people just cave to peer pressure? in Psychology ·
Once people label you as a pushover, man, it’s a real uphill battle to change that perception.

Sadly, it feels like folks tend to cling to your flaws way more than they celebrate your strengths. Sometimes, just walking away seems like the only thing that actually makes sense, doesn't it?

Well, maybe even Friday, July 11th? Why not? Fridays always feel a bit more laid back anyway, plus most people have already headed out on their summer vacations by then.

It was such a blast! There were four of us out there, but we didn't quite make it over to the Botanical Garden before time ran out, so we just grabbed coffee nearby instead.

Maybe we can get the group together again in about two weeks? Send over your ideas!

Sure thing, the meetup is happening! We’ll be hanging out by the monument at the Main plaza from about 3:30 until 4:00, and then we're heading over toward the Botanical Gardens.

Well, let's just meet up by the main code monument on Main, and we can even drop a note about which section we'll be hanging out in.

Looks like we're in for a beautiful Saturday—sunny or maybe a little partly cloudy, hovering right around 77 degrees. Absolutely gorgeous weather.

Gerardo Arteaga, the Mexican national team coach, is such a deeply emotional guy. Honestly, seeing how much he cares is exactly why I’ll be rooting for Mexico during the rest of the tournament.

We’re kicking things off at 3:30. I’ve got my hotspot ready to go, so if anyone wants to catch up later, just shoot me a text. We'll stay posted! I'm really hoping we can hang out for at least an hour and a half—though honestly, who knows? Once we actually get together and find our groove, we might just keep the party going way longer.

Saturday, June 28th, at 3:30 PM, right by the main code monument.

People get pretty philosophical over on the Psychic Couch, which I don't mind—it’s actually great when they back up those deep thoughts with real-world examples.

That being said, things aren't nearly as crowded here as they are in the United States, so I honestly think this corner of the forum is much better.

The Botanical gardens sound like a killer idea, and maybe we can hit up a local park right after.

Just a little chat about everything under the sun, you know? Just trying to keep the vibes high. It’ll be the big debut for the Psychic Couch, so hopefully, it's going to be pretty interesting.

Alright, sounds good.

So, we just need to nail down a spot to meet up, and I'm thinking somewhere around 3:30.

So, we're looking at Saturday, June 28th, maybe around 3 or 4 in the afternoon?

Well, honestly, I think people who back our community and these kinds of ideas could definitely join in too.

Well, sure, we could just aim for one of the upcoming Saturdays instead. If we can get at least four or five people interested, who am I to argue? Honestly, we might even be able to make this coming Saturday work if the timing hits right.

Haha, okay, maybe around 3:00 or 3:30 would work better? Sunday usually feels a bit more chill than Saturday anyway. So, what do you think about picking one of the upcoming Sundays?

Tomorrow's meetup is at 6 PM. We're meeting at Grand Central Terminal by the monument. Try to get there by 6:20 if you can. If you’re running late, just shoot me a DM. I'll have my phone on me, so I'll stay updated.
I'm totally open to suggestions for our next session. Maybe we could even meet earlier? I haven't really fleshed out a specific plan for the next one yet.

So, yeah! Send over your ideas whenever. Feel free to message me privately too.

Well, that’s about a ninety-minute trek from downtown, which feels like a lot for a first hangout. Maybe we should stick to a shorter stroll instead?

Thursday, June 19th at 6 PM. If you aren't feeling the coffee vibe, maybe we could just go for a walk instead?

Would Central Park work better for everyone?

Just drop a comment here on this thread. Don't be shy! It would be great if we could get at least four of us together!

And hey, pass the word along to those people who put me on their ignore list, too.
