I feel like every time a team drops a new look, the internet loses its mind. Is it just me, or is the obsession with "traditional" colors getting a bit exhausting? Do you guys actually care about the kit, or is it just noise?

Chest pain above the sternum

Sam Hall15 said:That kind of pain description is classic for what people call anxiety-induced pain. Basically, those who are more prone to autonomic instability experience it this way. But just to be safe, if the pain is worrying you, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get an EKG, a chest X-ray, and some basic blood work done. Are you dealing with any stomach issues, like heartburn or gastric pain?
Physically, I’m perfectly fine, but I have dealt with some mental health struggles—specifically anxiety and panic attacks—so that’s definitely a possibility... thanks.😉

Sam Hall15 said:First things first, no, there is absolutely no way that what you experienced was even a severe allergic reaction, let alone anaphylaxis, so please, everyone, stop speculating wildly about this...
Secondly, what David Smith4 wrote is pretty muddled. Don't take this personally, but his logic is flawed—it's just not accurate. But that's beside the point; regarding that chest pain, she described it as stabbing, pressure, burning... What was the intensity? How long did it last? It could be a dozen different things, and I won't list them all here...
I went in for testing, but they didn't find anything... my doctor's theories are basically
1. That it's due to the HVAC system at my workplace
2. Or perhaps poor posture leading to reduced lung capacity (though I'm not sure if these theories are just guesses because she can't figure out what's actually wrong with me)...
...so, it feels like a stabbing sensation. For instance, when I lie down in bed at night, it "jolts" me on that side, and if I cough, I feel it too... if I press on the right side of that specific spot, I feel pain that isn't present on the left side... it's brief; if I cough, I feel that sharp sting for just a few seconds and then it's gone. I don't know what other tests to run; I've already had scans for my lungs and sinuses. Tomorrow, I'm seeing a different specialist at Firefly, simply because I already have the referral. I just need to talk it through with someone else...

Thanks, I scheduled my appointment for this afternoon at 6:00 PM, so we'll see what they find. For me, a cough isn't really a primary symptom, but if I sneeze or cough, I feel this sharp, stabbing pain on my right side. Thanks for the help... I'm really hoping it's not what you described 🙂

It could be the very onset of anaphylaxis..
1. Stage one.. You mentioned coughing and chest pains,
Are you choking? Is your breathing labored?..
It might just be a standard reaction..
It doesn't necessarily have to be anything serious..
Thanks for getting back to me,
I'm not choking, and honestly, allergy pills haven't done a damn thing for me. Maybe a better way to describe it is "stabbing pains above my chest on the left side"... alright, who should I actually see for this? Which specialist should I book? I'd really like to avoid dealing with that rude lady at the front desk again.🤣

I need some help here, everyone. 😢
I'm rushing off to work, so this might come out a bit messy: For about a week now, I've been feeling this sharp, stabbing sensation just above my chest, specifically on the right side. It’s most noticeable whenever I cough or sneeze. I went to see my primary care physician, but she insists everything looks fine. Despite that, the pain hasn't gone away, so I'm thinking about booking an appointment with a specialist at a private clinic to get a second opinion. The only problem—and this is where I feel a bit lost—is that when I call the clinic and they ask which type of specialist I need to see, I have absolutely no clue what to say. 😵 So, the receptionist basically snapped at me because I didn't have the exact name of who I needed to speak with, and then she just hung up on me. Unbelievable. 😲 (Even though I told her exactly where the pain was—just above my chest and everything...) Now, I honestly don't have the energy to call them back again. 😢Alright, I'm asking for some guidance here—does anyone know which specialist I should see to get this checked out? If you have any inkling of what might be going on, please let me know (I do suffer from allergies, by the way). Thanks in advance to everyone.🙂...

Anne, I didn't quite catch whether you've actually sat down to talk to anyone about this yet?

Could you switch over to being an out-of-state student? It just crossed my mind... that way you could grab your textbooks and study from home while you work on getting back on your feet a bit.

Hunting pedophiles: Is it just a modern-day witch hunt?

George Martin70 said:Thanks 😬
See what I mean? Talking about pedophilia is basically a type of verbal crime... if you start bringing it up, you risk being accused yourself right away. It’s kind of like back in the US during the 50s and 60s... anyone questioning the Red Scare was immediately labeled a communist.
The truth is, kids rarely hide abuse (it’s not the other way around like some people claim), so predators get caught pretty fast. So there's really no point in constantly rehashing this stuff or taking trashy programs like the > seriously...
😕 😕 Well then...🙄
Go live your life.

George Martin70 said:It's kind of like how people used to describe witches back in the day, except those were supposedly people wanting to cook children alive. And in one country, they used similar labels for members of a minority group that they claimed wanted to destroy the Aryan children...
Your comments are enough to drive anyone insane.👍
George Martin70 said:Yeah, seriously though, where did you even get that bit about women being able to be pedophiles? Was it from some Oprah show?
And let's not even get started on your grasp of American grammar...😬...

George Martin70, you haven't offered a single legitimate argument to back up your claims. I honestly don't understand the basis on which you're defending this, or why you even feel the need to bring up pedophilia in the first place. If you actually knew someone who had been sexually abused, you probably wouldn't be posting on this forum like this. Based on your posts, I'm guessing you're way too young—maybe 14? You clearly lack any real-world experience and are just looking for a reaction. Especially looking at that last comment, it’s obvious you’re just having a blast trolling everyone.👎

Robert Murphy8 said:Maybe I’m just incredibly lazy. Those college jobs I had were mind-numbingly boring, which is probably why I was so chatty. Ideally, I’d have a career where I could actually have friendly conversations with coworkers.
Basically, whenever I feel pressured or stressed, I start rambling like an idiot.
Just take it easy. If this is your first real job, it makes sense that you're feeling more high-strung. Try to find two or three close colleagues you can actually chat with, but keep everyone else at a polite distance. Beyond that, people might just be busy; it doesn't necessarily mean they have an issue with you.👍 At the end of the day, how you perform your actual work is what matters most.😉
I deal with the exact opposite problem. When you're quiet and composed, people always assume you're plotting something because you aren't saying anything, so they have no clue what's on your mind. The reality is that I just need a little more time to settle into an environment before I open up, but eventually, things usually fall into place.🙂

Robert Murphy8 said:Look. I appreciate the advice, really, but being unapologetically rude, arrogant, or just plain obnoxious isn't in my DNA. It's not that easy. I was raised to be decent to people—to actually have some manners—and I don't know how to switch that off. I realize I should probably keep my guard up and stop oversharing with everyone I meet, but I can't help it. When I'm around people for too long, if there’s nothing going on, the tension builds up. Eventually, I start talking, and before I know it, I’ve spilled my entire life story. Then, a few days later? A knife in the back. That’s been the pattern at almost every job I've had. I just keep trying to find the good in people, even when it backfires.
I haven't looked at the other suggestions, but you don't need to be rude or uncultured to protect yourself. You just need to set boundaries. In my experience, people respect boundaries much more than they respect pure politeness—which, let's face it, often just looks like being a pushover. You also have to accept the reality that you aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea, and you certainly don't owe anyone your whole life story.

Robert Murphy8 said:I can honestly say I try to be a decent human being. I make an effort to stay respectful, polite, and kind in my interactions, genuinely trying to work well with others. But no matter where I go—and especially in the corporate world—it’s the same old story. Constant undermining, people trashing my hard work, and backstabbing. I always end up carrying the weight of their nonsense on my own shoulders. As a person of faith, I could never dream of pulling a stunt like that on anyone. I know I’m capable. I’m smart, I give everything I have to my job and to the people around me, yet it feels like absolutely nobody respects that. It’s even worse when they mock me for being transparent or for actually caring about projects that have some actual heart in them. Then I look at these "successful" types and I just don't get it. What makes them so much better or sharper than me? They get the accolades while I’m just left waiting for them to label me as the villain, because apparently, that’s the only role they think I’m fit for.
This is exactly why😉
There’s just something about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes that I find strangely endearing... they have this quirky vibe that actually works for them.😬
