Since I tend to side with the underdog, I’m stepping up to defend Sylvester Stallone 🙂

You can't just write off Sly, Rambo, Rocky, or Cobra... then move on to Cliffhanger where John Lithgow plays the villain, and follow that up with those absolute trash festivals like Over the Top, Demolition Man, or Death Race 2000 where he plays Machine Gun Joe 😁... though, when I really think about it, Arnold Schwarzenegger actually managed to save the world from Satan himself 😁

Of course, Serme and I are already working on Vol. 9...🙂
stormywolf39 said:There was also that rumor about Schwarzenegger having to drop at least twenty pounds just because his chest muscles were so massive he couldn't even reach his sword with both hands...🙂 🤣 🤣

Right, and then for the sequel, he had to go right back to the gym to bulk up again just to look intimidating...😁
Hold on a second, this Pollcat is heading down a rabbit hole we don't need to be in... we aren't here to gawk at Arnold Schwarzenegger's physique or worship his build, we're actually trying to dissect the filmography of both him and Sly... just to eventually figure out who actually holds more weight as an actor... 😎
Elizabeth Price2 said:Take a look at this shot of Arnold. Even Sly can't compete with this...

It looks like all that time spent in the gym might have cost him down there...😁

How long has his little crisis been dragging on now...

Woody Allen, please... he was never really much of a director to begin with, so claiming he's in some sort of crisis is a stretch... go ahead and tear yourselves apart over it... 😁 🙂

I’ve never been a fan of that movie, mostly because it kicked off a whole wave of slashers in the late 90s that were just one pathetic imitation after another... 🙄
I mean, let’s not forget, that movie of his is just as much of a 🙏
...
It’s not that I’m trying to defend him, but there’s still Sly and Cliffhanger 🙂
I might as well weigh in with my own take, but I’m going with Schwarzenegger all the way... at least he wasn't some project his mother needed to step in and save...😁
Alright folks, it’s time for another massive poll, and we’ve officially hit the eighth installment...

This round, we’re pitting Schwarzenegger against Stallone to decide once and for all who really holds the crown

Stallone -------------vs--------------Schwarzenegger...

Who’s actually walking away from a brawl, who packs more punch, whose mother would win in a fight, who owns the better one-liners, or who’s more ruthless when playing those bad cop/worse cop psychological games... basically, who’s the real heavyweight here...

Jose Chase2 said:Oh, give me a break already... Just thinking about it on a whim—The Dark Knight and Sin City are both easily a hundred times better than that Spider-Man garbage...🙂

Sin City doesn't really count here, since I was specifically talking about superhero comic book movies...

Jose Chase2 said:Oh yeah—Sam Raimi... man, look how much that guy sold out once he did Spider-Man...😢 😢

You're the one who sold out...👎

I’d love to see how other directors would have tackled Spider-Man, but honestly, Raimi probably gave us the best comic book adaptation we're ever going to get... though I still find myself regretting that he walked away from the horror genre...😢

slyrider16 said:If you had to pick his weakest one—excluding the piranhas—it would have to be the first Terminator.

Hold on, are you drunk or just being dense? Honestly, Terminator is lightyears better than Aliens, which is easily the most overrated entry in that whole franchise after the fourth installment, not to mention how Titanic falls short... even True Lies isn't quite hitting the mark compared to Terminator.👎

And as for Carpenter, you're totally missing the point; the man is a brilliant director, and The Thing is easily his masterpiece, but claiming the rest of his work is garbage is just foolish... though it is undeniably true he hasn't put out anything worth watching in quite some time...

Jose Chase2 said:So vampires just aren't worth it now????

Give me a break...👎

Carpenter’s take on vampires was a total disaster, mostly because of that pathetic script and whatever Daniel Baldwin was doing with his performance...🙂

Are you actually kidding me right now? 😁

Escape from L.A., Vampires, Village of the Damned, Ghost of Mars...

for a director who gave us Halloween, The Thing, Prince of Darkness, They Live, and Escape from New York, these are all absolute garbage...
Serse_Cosmi said:Hugh Grant is definitely the bigger threat here...

Hugh Grant and Freddie Prinze junior😁

John Carpenter—this whole crisis has been dragging on since somewhere back in 1988...🙄
