Alright folks, it’s time for another massive poll, and we’ve officially hit the eighth installment...

This round, we’re pitting Schwarzenegger against Stallone to decide once and for all who really holds the crown

Stallone -------------vs--------------Schwarzenegger...

Who’s actually walking away from a brawl, who packs more punch, whose mother would win in a fight, who owns the better one-liners, or who’s more ruthless when playing those bad cop/worse cop psychological games... basically, who’s the real heavyweight here...

Stallone is just more powerful... Rambo & Rocky 🙏 🙏

He even handles comedies better than Schwarzenegger: look at Tango or Cash/My Mom Will Shoot vs. Schwarzenegger being pregnant/Schwarzenegger as a preschool teacher/Schwarzenegger having a twin brother played by Danny DeVito 😬

I might as well weigh in with my own take, but I’m going with Schwarzenegger all the way... at least he wasn't some project his mother needed to step in and save...😁

Arnold...
Syl gave us the first Rambo, Rocky, and Copland...
But Arnold definitely brings Conan, Terminator, Predator, True Lies, Last Action Hero, and Total Recall to the table...
I can't quite recall Red Sonja or The Running Man...
Still, Sly acts more as the director and producer here—he’s got the Oscar count on his side. I think I'll still cast my vote for Arnie, though. Watching him take on the Predator empty-handed was something else.

Oscars? You mean Golden Raspberries... 😁

I am familiar with the Golden Raspberries. Arnold picked up a few, but Sly holds the actual record. I believe he even snagged one for his lifetime achievement. It is worth noting that Sly actually has two Academy Awards for the first Rocky film—one for acting and one for the screenplay. That is quite an accomplishment.
Here is the IMDb breakdown:

The ten awards from the Razzies that he's won are Worst Actor of 1985 for Rhinestone (1984), Worst Actor of 1986 for both Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985) and Rocky IV (1985), Worst Director of 1986 for Rocky IV (1985), Worst Screenplay of 1986 with James Cameron and Kevin Jarre for Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Worst Actor of 1989 for Rambo III (1988), Worst Actor of the Decade (1980's), Worst Actor of 1993 for Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot (1992), Worst Screen Couple of 1995 with Sharon Stone in The Specialist (1994), Worst Actor of the Century, and Worst Supporting Actor of 2004 for Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003).
And as for Arnold:
Is the only person to receive Razzie nominations for Worst Actor, Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Couple (with himself cloned) in the same year. All for the same movie, The 6th Day (2000).

It seems to me that Schwarzenegger takes the lead quite convincingly. Who wouldn't be drawn to his sheer intensity and those iconic one-liners? Compared to him, Stallone is practically mute. And when you factor in Arnold's charming accent, you have the perfect formula for greatness.

In *Predator*, Arnold pins a guy with a knife and mutters, "Z - htick ahaund!"

Then in *Running Man*, he saws a guy in half. When the lady asks what happened to him later, he just goes, "He haed to zphlit!"

But *Commando* is the absolute gold standard: Arnold holds some sleazy little mobster by one leg, dangling him over a cliff. The guy begs him to tell everything if he just lets him go. Arnold listens to the whole thing and then simply lets him drop. When the girl asks what he did with the guy, Arnold replies, "I leth him goooo!"

Pure class. Absolute classics. I fail to see how Stallone could even attempt to compete with that.

In *Predator*, Arnold slams a knife into some guy's wall and shouts, "You suck!"

In Running Man, they use a saw to cut him right down the middle. When his wife asks him later what happened, he just says, "He had to split!"

*Commando* is an absolute classic! Arnold holds this tiny, sleazy mobster by one leg, dangling him right over a massive canyon. The guy starts begging Arnold to just tell him everything if he lets him down. So, Arnold listens to his little confession, then just lets him drop straight into the abyss! Then comes that iconic part where the girl asks what happened to the guy, and Arnold just goes, "I let him goooo!"

A total classic! A pure classic! How on earth could anyone even try to compare Sly to this?

You’re such a masochistic lover of trashy movies! Honestly, that’s exactly why it’s better. 🙂

Stallone is just plain dim, both on screen and in real life. Schwarzenegger isn't. That’s why he’s clearly the superior guy.

Seriously... Arnold is basically a genius.

Regarding the poll, I can't decide. On one hand, there's Rocky.

hey adrianne... i was thinking.... maybe we could sometimes... you know... aaaaa... grab a couple of burgers or something... aaaaa.... you know....

On the other hand, there's Rambo with that unforgettable let off some steam bennet ending. A tough call, really....

Believe whatever you want, I guess, but Schwarzenegger had his degree and a million bucks in the bank before he even thought about hitting the movies🙂

Besides, there are just two roles that guy was born to play: Conan and the Terminator

It’s almost hard to imagine anyone else stepping into those shoes, honestly

And then there’s his take on Mr. Freeze against Batman:

"You're not sending me to the cooler!"

Not to mention that moment where he just lets out that crazy German scream, "die AAAARRRRGHHH"🤣 🤣

If he didn't have that crooked smirk, Sly wouldn't even be in the same league as Bernie, but instead, he’s playing this part of some righteous martyr fighting for the common man—and we can't just write him off yet. 😁

Compared to him, Stallone just seems totally muted, you know? And when you throw in that gorgeous accent of his? Man, it’s basically the perfect recipe for greatness!

In Predator, Arnold jams a knife into some guy's wall and yells, "Get to the chopper!"

So, I was rewatching the Running man the other day—you know, that classic scene where they basically saw through the guy with a chainsaw? Total madness! Later on, when his girlfriend asks him what actually happened to him, he just drops this absolute gem of a line: "He had to split!" Seriously, the pun is just too much, right? Pure gold!

Rambo is an absolute classic—seriously, such a gem! There’s that one iconic scene where Arnold is just holding this tiny, sleazy little mobster by one leg, dangling him right over the edge of a massive canyon. The guy is begging Arnold, practically pleading, promising he'll spill everything if he can just be let go. And what does Arnold do? He listens to the guy's pathetic rambling for a second, then just... lets him drop straight into the abyss. It’s hilarious! Then, when his buddy comes up and asks what happened to the guy, Arnold just gives her that look and goes, "I let him goooo!" Pure gold.

Total classic! A complete and utter classic! I mean, seriously—how can anyone even try to put Sly in the same conversation as him? It's just not happening!

Oh man, remember that one scene from the movie Twin? It’s hilarious—he shows up in the USA from some totally deserted island and just happens to spot a poster for Rambo III featuring that absolutely shredded guy!🙄 So, Stallone starts flexing those massive muscles—totally showing off, really—and then just casually brushes it all off with a wave of his hand like it’s no big deal... 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
Unstoppable!
