Since we're throwing numbers around... let's say your little comparison is only about 16% accurate...

As for the rest—look, sometimes people just talk nonsense because they’re basing everything on some random flyers and brochures instead of actually doing the homework (trust me, a little expertise goes a long way)—but hey, whatever 🙂 isn't the end of the world, haha.
James Newman4 said:I used that analogy because you use water to clean your body on the outside, so why not use it to flush things out on the inside, right?

ps: seriously, just read the whole thread so we don't keep circling the drain.. 😉

haha, both those comparisons make about as much sense as mixing goat hair with menthol...

no offense intended, but that 🙄 😉

@Anthony Rodriguez58: sure thing, now maybe tone down what you said a bit 🙂
hahaha, nice one! Why don't you try taking a shower with it and see how that goes? What does that even have to do with anything? Just go ahead—try bathing in spaghetti, fish, cheese, juice, or whatever the hell—even some Herbalife or milk—and then you can tell me if it's actually "all that"...

Honestly, I’d probably just shower in beer if I wasn't so broke right now...

And as for calories... look, if you're burning them off doing something active—like playing soccer, hitting the dance floor, or some drunken hookup in a car or a bedroom—then it's really not that big of a deal. 🙂
Since we’re talking about beer... I tend to swap out my water intake for massive amounts of beer quite often... Is that actually doing much damage? And can beer ever really stand in for water?
hehh, watching you guys flame each other over Herbalife is actually kind of entertaining...
But seriously, did anyone bother to mention that one Herbalife perk? It cures boredom. 👍

What does James Newman4 have to do with suggesting people drink water—just regular or sparkling?
And seriously, how much does a bottle of mineral water cost?
Or what’s the price of a glass of tap water?
This is getting pretty petty—attacking someone for zero reason just because of some other topic... 👎

So anyway...
Are you gonna try to sell her Herbalife?
Look, please try to understand why people here can't stand you... it's because you always have some hidden agenda to push HL. Everything with you eventually circles back to HL—you can't talk about anything else for more than five minutes without pivoting to selling it... don't you realize you're basically the worst anti-Herbalife advertisement ever?

Make up your mind—are you defending him or are you against him? You can't say "leave him alone" and then immediately tear him apart... 😕 😕

He started out talking about water and ended up pitching HL...

Man, you just don't get it! He doesn't need references, papers, or even actual science! Water fixes everything!

The only thing I'm stuck on... honestly... is how anyone makes real money off medicinal water when it's becoming harder to find everywhere... Or are they just selling the stuff from the local grocery store?

The main job of water is flushing toxins out of your system. Since your brain is basically 75% water, even a tiny bit of dehydration can trigger a massive headache.

Is that actually true though? Brain is 75% water? Man, I don't know...

Question regarding SIDE in Health ·
Clinical Syndromes

The slow burn is basically what defines a CDC infection. It’s a chronic, progressive grind—once that virus hits the bloodstream, it starts a steady, irreversible demolition of your immune system. For most adults, we're looking at a median timeline of about 10 years before things get really ugly. Depending on the person, the way this mess shows up can look a lot different.

Right after the initial hit, during those first few months, you might deal with some milder symptoms—think fever, feeling totally wiped out, headaches, or a maculopapular rash. You might also drop some weight, notice swollen lymph nodes, or deal with oral thrush, all while specific antibodies show up in your bloodwork. These signs usually taper off after about three weeks, sometimes disappearing entirely. This phase is known as ARC (AIDS-Related Complex), which eventually slides into full-blown AIDS if left unchecked.

Then there's the other side of the coin: the actual onset of AIDS. Typically, that happens somewhere in the 8 to 10-year window following the initial infection.

Megan Reed said:How exactly are they planning to prove someone smokes? 😁 So what if I say no? What then? Are they gonna hire a private investigator just to catch me with a cigarette? 😬

I mean, if they look at your scans and tell you your lungs are basically in a coma—and it’s not just some basic bronchitis or a common flu—then you're looking at a whole different ballgame. 😉
Nah, give me a break...

They took ten guys—all different types, all over the map—and gave them each, I don't know, maybe a few rounds of decent beer... 🙂

And then what? They "noticed" that suddenly everyone started talking over each other, 90% of what came out of their mouths was total garbage, they lost the ability to drive or park a car properly, and they were picking fights for no reason at all...
The conclusion is pretty obvious: there's way too much estrogen in beer...
Some other study actually turned up showing that beer is basically loaded with female hormones... 🙂

You heard about that? 🙂
Look, setting preservatives aside for a second—when you chew raisins, they basically turn into this super sticky, sugary sludge once they hit your saliva. It sticks to your teeth like glue and acts like high-octane fuel for bacteria.
It’s not even 10:00 PM and you’re still lurking online!?!?!
hmm...

The issue with Coca-Cola was the phosphoric acid—the same stuff dentists use (in much higher concentrations, obviously) to etch away enamel and dentin before they pop in a filling. Even though the concentration in a Coca-Cola is way lower, it sits on your teeth much longer than a quick 30-second dental procedure does. Now, the Coca-Cola produced here in the States hasn't had that phosphoric acid for a few years, I think, but if you grab a bottle filled at a plant in Canada, for example, you might find it's still in there.

As for the sugar and the carbonation... I'm not sure carbonation is doing much damage, but the sugar definitely is. Then again, there are plenty of things you eat that are way sweeter, so it's kind of a wash. Take raisins, for instance—they’re incredibly "cariogenic," even if they don't seem like it. Bananas fall into that group too. If anyone actually cares, I can list more.

Bottom line? Coca-Cola isn't some special kind of poison... but of course, that all depends on how you handle your oral hygiene. Don't go chugging Coca-Cola if you're planning to skip brushing your teeth or if you're just doing a half-assed job with the toothbrush—you'll end up in the same spot.

Also, stick to Diet Coke if you want to be safer. 🙂

LaTiTeA said:It doesn't affect kids, and even if a woman goes in for surgery—she can still have babies later. At least, that’s how I read it.

Look, infections during childbirth are a real thing. A baby can pick something up passing through an infected birth canal. Depending on the strain—like HPV-6 or HPV-11—it can lead to throat papillomas.

Not enough info. It’s possible if she had any broken skin or irritated mucous membranes that came into contact with the virus.

hehehe, I heard this went down in Germany—some guy gets his pizza delivered, starts whining because it’s cold and demands a fresh one... So they just warmed it up and, uh, "enhanced" it. Poor bastard ended up walking away with an STD instead. 🙂

Lesson of the day: don't fuck with delivery boys...

Those HIV+ folks can be dangerous—I was reading some chat logs recently (maybe on a Reddit thread or something similar) involving Iskrica, and man, it’s sickening. Jokes aside, if someone is living with HIV and intentionally spreading their status through reckless behavior, they're just targeting innocent people.

He says this:

"The risk of picking up HIV after a needle stick or skin puncture is low—around 0.2% to 0.5%—and if you just get infected blood on a mucous membrane, we're looking at about 0.1%. Your absolute priority right after a puncture is just washing your hands with soap."

So it’s not actually that terrifying 🙂

And yeah, that whole story about the woman and the high school senior? Total urban legend—they used to drill that stuff into our heads in religion class... Only instead of a note in the box, it was a dead wasp and a scrap of paper LOL
