Count me in,
I’m also facing an urgent exam and I’m completely flying blind without any study materials.🤷
Any help would be appreciated.
Here goes me too,
after starting Zoloft—not even at half doses, but just quarters for three days before moving up to halves—plus taking 3 Xanax at 0.25mg each, the side effects absolutely wrecked me. Even two Xanax wouldn't touch it; I couldn't breathe, felt like I was choking, my blood pressure spiked, and I actually ended up in the ER getting an injection of Ativan... I struggled through about ten days before I just gave up. Now, I’ve been on one Portal a day for about 20 days. I'm tapering off the Xanax, but the symptoms won't quit—I feel weak, exhausted, or like someone is sitting on my chest making it hard to breathe. Then comes that sensation where I can't swallow, the panic starts climbing... and then the frustration hits because I don't get why I'm not feeling better yet. Is anyone else on Portal? I really need to hear some experiences. Help!
Please let me know... am I the only one dealing with this?
My physiatrist mentioned a contracture in my right shoulder, which is where we currently stand. They recommended physical therapy, but I’m not feeling particularly confident about the recovery process. I’m hoping I can get started with treatment soon, because the wait times are already looking pretty long.
What worked for you guys, and how long did it take? I read somewhere that it can last up to two years!??🙂
I took a hard fall on my shoulder about three months ago. It’s been hurting, but I figured since nothing felt broken, it would just need some time to heal on its own...
Things seemed to be improving, so I tried getting back into my routine. Big mistake. One sudden movement or quick jerk and the pain comes rushing right back. My range of motion is shot; I’m basically living with my left hand now because I can’t even lift my right arm or reach back to fasten a bra strap... it's a nightmare.🙂
The doctor mentioned it might be frozen shoulder, so I'm heading to a physical therapist today to get a treatment plan in place.
Has anyone else here dealt with frozen shoulder or severe stiffness? I'd love to hear your experiences.

I’m not looking for medical advice, per se, but should I take something for it or just head to the doctor? My physician is... well, let's just say she's difficult to deal with, so I'd probably rather swallow ten Advil than face her right now.😢Could this be something serious, or is it just a result of a bad diet?
Check in when you can—are you doing okay? What happened?

She probably has some hormonal imbalances, but this behavior is getting pretty intense. It’s happening more frequently, and I'm starting to worry there might be something more serious going on.
Dr. Miller will likely put her on hormone replacement therapy, which should provide some immediate relief. Get her to an appointment as soon as you can, or she could try picking up some herbal supplements—I can't recall the exact names right now—they usually cost around $32

She went in for some deep testing, but it’s hard to say what the results might actually point toward.
Generally speaking, her activity level is moderate, she’s carrying a little extra weight, and she’s 45.
It could just be menopause causing a hormonal mess; you should probably head to a specialist for a full checkup.
That weight gain probably isn't a real shift in body mass; besides, home scales aren't exactly precision instruments if you're using them at home.
On top of that, your numbers are going to fluctuate based on how much water you've had throughout the day and whether or not your digestion is keeping up.
I’m a mom who has basically earned a PhD in managing my daughters' congestion. Most kids aren't exactly fans of steam inhalation, so the trick is to package the treatment inside something they actually enjoy. I like to turn the bathroom into a little spa—run the hot water to build up plenty of steam, toss in some toys, and let them play in the tub. They stay occupied while the humidity does its work. If you have a younger child and you're soaking in the tub with them, just keep topping off the hot water to maintain that moisture. For nighttime, I’ll boil a pot of water with some salt and set it near the crib to let the vapor evaporate; it really helps clear those airways. You can even add chamomile or marshmallow root to the water. At the end of the day, it’s all about that warm steam—it works wonders.
