http://www.metalcamp.com/nav.php?lang=enIf that doesn't help, I'll just ask my boyfriend tomorrow—he went last year—how he scored his tickets, and then I'll let you know.

My bad. Total brain fart. Someone posted a lineup and I just assumed it was for this year. It felt weird seeing Satyricon and Immortala missing from the list, but I figured I was just confusing it with Wacken. My mistake.🤣
Yeah, here's who is actually playing this year:

- DEW-SCENTED
- DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER
- DISILLUSION

Actually isn't a bad lineup.🙂 Immortal, Satyricon, Motörhead, and Ensiferum are definitely worth checking out.🙂
I might go, though most of the bands aren't really my thing—maybe some MDB, Wintersun, Amon Amarth, or Nevermore. Honestly, I'm mostly there for the party and the crowd rather than the music.
I'm actually eyeing Wacken instead. It's way more interesting, even if it does cost a hell of a lot more money. 😬Still, if Amorphis, Immortala, 1349, or Iced Earth are playing, it’d be worth the long haul just to see them. 😬
If none of that pans out, I'll probably just catch you guys at Metalcamp. 🙂
I think there’s a specific group of people who just aren't wired to fit into modern society. Some folks can't find contentment in the little things or build a life around them. They aren't satisfied by the small stuff that keeps everyone else happy. Why would being attractive, smart, or popular actually make someone happy? What does any of that even mean? Are looks, intellect, and fame really the peak of human achievement? Not even close. None of that guarantees actual fulfillment. Life demands something deeper, something more substantial, but more often than not, that kind of thing is impossible to find in this world or among these people. That kid probably has everything most people would say is "everything." So, he can't have anything more. Naturally, realizing you've achieved everything society offers and still feeling empty—unable to grasp what you actually need—is enough to make anyone miserable.
Apologies if this topic has already been covered; I did a quick search and didn't see anything. If I missed it, a mod can just delete this. 🙂
So, like the title says, I’m looking to know what the actual symptoms of clinical depression are—the kind where you really need to go see a professional. Also, if anyone knows the most common treatment methods or who the best person to contact would be, let me know.
Most of my rotation is rock and metal. Lately, though, I've been diving deep into classical and jazz.
When it comes to rock, I’m mostly into the old school stuff from the 60s and 70s—think Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, The Who, Animals, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and Led Zeppelin. I also love Nick Cave, Smashing Pumpkins, Velvet Underground, U2, Garbage, PJ Harvey, The Cure, Joy Division, Blur, R.E.M., Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, and Placebo. As for metal, I lean toward Black, Doom, and progressive acts like Arcturus, Celtic Frost, Kayo Dot, Amorphis, Candlemass, Anathema, MDB, Paradise Lost, Katatonia, Solitude Aeturnus, Tiamat, Mayhem, Emperor, Burzum, Bathory, Immortal, Satyricon, Susperia, Samael, Darkthrone, The Stone, Lacuna Coil, Cathedral, Vanishing Point, Ayreon, Ark, Peccatum, Ihsahn, Cynic, Dream Theater, Mechanical Poet, Death, Dusk, Control Denied, Kovenant, and Catamenia. Then there's the heavy hitters like Nevermore, Iced Earth, Therion, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards, In the Woods..., Jorn, King Diamond, and Mercyful Fate. Honestly, I've got over 200 bands on my list.😬
For classical, I go for Wagner, Sati, Ravel, Gershwin, Orff, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mozart, Lygety, Dvorak, Thomas Newman, Howard Shore, Danny Elfman, and plenty of others.
I only started listening to jazz a few months ago, so my list isn't huge yet, but so far I've got Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
A bit of old-school punk too—NOFX, Sex Pistols, Minor Threat, Exploited, and Oximoron.
There's plenty of good music out there if you just stop watching MTV.😬

Being hailed as one of the best American black metal bands, yet all we get is mindless comments, pure prejudice, narrow-mindedness, and a lack of musical growth. They're actually on the right track—one of the few listenable acts left in this rotting, dead American metal scene—but people just waste breath talking about how limited they are... 🙏 🙏 🙏
hm... what's with all these big words? Don't you know what they mean? Need me to explain them for you?
Noah Myers67 said:I didn't bother listening to the tracks, so I won't comment on them. But based on the song titles alone—typical for bands like this—it doesn't look promising.
The freezing winds die down... fire in the eye of the wolf. 🤣
Judging a song by its title is just as stupid as judging a book by its cover. 😉
Aeolus is widely considered one of the best American black metal bands out there, right up there with Death of folk. Most of these comments are just completely out of line. I get that certain things aren't everyone's cup of tea, but this is nothing more than pure prejudice. It’s pretty stupid to hold such narrow views—and honestly, that applies to more than just music. You guys are missing out on a lot of greatness.
Look, I’m not saying Aeolus is anything special. Obviously, if you compare them to the old guard like the Emperor or Mayhem, they don't even come close. But no band starts out legendary. You need time to grow up and actually mature musically. Aeolus is on the right track. Plus, they’re one of the few bands actually worth listening to in this dead-end American metal scene. Give them a chance. They might actually turn into something decent.
Honestly, I’m done wasting my breath on people who can't see past their own limitations. You're the ones losing here, and all you're doing is proving how little you actually know.
Solid American pagan black metal. Honestly one of the best things I've stumbled upon lately.
The atmosphere is killer, and the lyrics lean hard into old-school folklore.
If anyone's looking for something new, here's a link. Check out three tracks from their album for eternal glory and honor.

Look, I’m no expert, but she’d probably benefit from some jaw exercises. She should try jutting her chin forward to really stretch out that double chin area. Also, keeping her head positioned so her chin stays away from her neck—kind of like how ballerinas hold themselves during a performance—would help hide it. Constant chewing motions with an extra wide mouth would also work. I’ve heard those specific moves prevent a double chin from forming, so they should definitely help get rid of one. 🙂
