Stam actually got forced out because he dropped some truth bombs in his autobiography "Head to Head" that Sir Alex Ferguson just wasn't feeling...
"But then, back in 2001, he was sold to Lazio following a fallout with Ferguson, spent his time in Rome until 2004, and eventually moved over to AC Milan. While he was at Lazio in 2001, he tested positive for nandrolone on a doping test and ended up serving a five-month suspension."
Oops, my bad. 👍 He did test positive—I just tripped over my own feet thinking that was the reason he got booted.

Even Sir Alex Ferguson admitted his biggest mistake was passing him up. And we all know how rare it is for Ferguson to admit fault.
It might be time for him to hang it up. He’s earned it. He’s achieved everything there is to achieve and he’s always been a class act. A total legend.🙏
Wait, didn't Ferguson kick him out because of a doping ban??

You completely missed the point. Sadly.
The whole idea was that you just can't afford to waste your energy on every little piece of nonsense life throws at you.
rustyangler02 said:Just ignore that... you aren't trying to be a bodybuilder here, you're training to fight. You don't need some specific exercise for every single tiny muscle group, otherwise you'll end up spending half your life stuck in the gym. Stick to two or three sessions a week, maybe 45 minutes to an hour. Focus on the big compound lifts—bench press, deadlifts, rows, squats, core work, pull-ups. Skip the machines, the cable towers, and all that other nonsense. You want explosive power, not just raw absolute strength (look up 'plyometrics'). In practical terms, that means hitting the concentric part of the movement as fast as possible using weights similar to what you'd use for standard strength training.
👍 🙏
What are the odds that while you're sitting there on the toilet first thing in the morning, a random river otter leaps out and bites you right on the left nut?
Does anyone know where I can snag a shirt from the Cro Cop team?
So, I heard some rumors floating around about them building a massive fight center over in Pitomača. Does anyone actually have the inside scoop on this?

You've got a point there. It's a little idiotic, honestly.
Hey, can we get these guys training just to "become better people" to put it right in their signatures: "I practice martial arts to become a better person." 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 Does that sound a bit ridiculous?
There’s nothing quite like watching those guys hit the mats just to work on their character rather than looking for a fight. 😁 😁 😁

But from where I'm standing, it doesn't matter what you train; street rules aren't ring rules. I’ve seen plenty of guys who are absolute killers in the ring—pro boxers or kickboxers—get absolutely wrecked in a street fight. It happens more than you'd think.
Is it worth it? Depends on how desperate you are. If I were starving, I’d pick up anything. It’s decent work, occasionally interesting, but let's be real: you aren't building a lifelong career out of this. It's fine for extra cash while you're in college or just as a side hustle...
I've been training Muay Thai for a long time, but lately, I've been looking into Krav Maga and Systema. Truth is, my hands haven't helped much when every idiot on the corner is carrying a handgun, a brass knuckle, or a knife. How tall are you, and what's your weight?
So, what were you training in before you went into EMS? Is it actually worth risking your neck just for a few extra bucks?
I’m curious how many people here are working the door at bars or pulling security shifts for some corporation. If you’ve got an interesting story or some crazy experience from the job, lay it on me. Also, let me know what kind of training you’ve done—how long you’ve been at it—and if it actually helped you handle the chaos out there.
People make way too much noise about racism, yet they don't make nearly enough when it actually matters. It’s easily the most disgusting way to attack someone's character and dignity. Look, I can wrap my head around rowdy hooligan groups—even if they act like total losers sometimes—but I just can't stand these pathetic little guys who start whining the second a Black player steps onto the pitch. Honestly, I’d love to see those types tossed into a federal penitentiary for a month; maybe after some real time behind bars, they'll learn how to act. A bunch of football hooligans is one thing, but these guys are just pathetic.
By the way, I heard Ferdinand is the most thick-headed player on the roster. If he's that bad, what does that say about you, Bed Blue Boys?
And who exactly gets to decide if someone is "useful" or just dead weight? You? Me? Some big-shot politician in D.C.? Truth is, we’re all kind of useless in the grand scheme of things. Seriously. Tell me why some street musician playing for change in downtown Chicago should be considered less valuable than a Congressman pulling in $20,000 a month? If we're judging by productivity or cost, that representative is way more useless since he's draining so much more from the system.
