I mean, what other choice do you really have besides keeping the search going?
As for the gynecologist—I know they’re constantly taking new patients over at the Dugave Housing Authority—and as for the dentist, there's actually space available at the Maksimir Housing Authority on Hirsch Street. Just saying—I happen to know that much—so it's not like every single clinic is completely maxed out...
You really need to check out a few different practices. I went through something similar myself, but I eventually found a doctor who was willing to take me on—it mostly came down to the fact that I didn't live too far away. He needs to be able to handle home visits in certain situations, so he can't have patients scattered all over the city. Also—and this is important—make sure you talk directly to the doctors, not the nurses. As a physician myself, I can tell you: the doctor is the only one who truly knows if their Medicare contract requires them to take on more patients or not.
In my view, treating mental health patients falls strictly under the domain of psychiatrists. A primary care physician can only write a prescription or sign off on medical leave based on a specialist's diagnosis.
At 18, I hit a massive reality check. Before that, I lived entirely inside books and my own imagination—horrors like the Holocaust felt like distant, historical footnotes rather than actual reality. Then, it all clicked: the world isn't just populated by "good people." I realized that while most people try, there’s a dark undercurrent out there—and while that small percentage of truly malicious individuals ends up behind bars, the rest of the world is much more complicated. It took me a long time to accept that people aren't just black or white; most of us live in the gray area—I'm talking about the everyday people you pass on the street, not the absolute monsters.
Over time, I’ve built up a bit of a defense mechanism—I can even find myself being pretty harsh toward someone if I really have to (strictly as a means of self-defense, of course). As for my kindness? Honestly, I’m good to others mostly out of pure selfishness: it simply feels good to be a decent person.
Look, man, you’re completely out of it—everyone else is just living their lives, and frankly, they couldn't care less about what you're going through. You haven't actually hurt any of them; the only people getting caught in the crossfire are the ones who truly love you. This intense hatred you're carrying? It’s only damaging you and—I'll say it again—the people who care about you. To the rest of the world, you’re nothing more than a tiny footnote in a news headline over coffee, assuming you even make the news if things go south.
