I’ve actually already gone ahead and picked up the sheer fabric for the table extensions—you know, the ceiling draping stuff... oh, and the balloons finally arrived from my eBay order. 🤔As for the table decor, I’m steering clear of anything overly floral—😂 especially since my maid of honor (my sister-in-law) is a total flower enthusiast; she could probably pull off much cheaper, more imaginative arrangements if I let her... 😂 but I’m digging my heels in. My vision is pretty set: just some fairy lights scattered across the tables and plenty of lavender—which my mother is meticulously growing specifically for the wedding. That’s really it... I don't see the point in overcomplicating things. 😉 The simpler we keep it, the less likely I am to have a nervous breakdown. 😂
Aha... 😂 The adhesive just won't budge on my end—it's a real struggle 😂 I usually just let them soak in water for about half an hour, then I gently scrape them off with a spatula... 🤣 Look, just bring them over and I'll pull some bottles out for you.. 😉
😂 That lady is actually my cousin's mother-in-law... 😁 I was just doing what I could—basically grabbing everything that looked useful 😂 and then ordering some more online I’ve already dumped them all in the sink, so I'll be stuck washing about fifteen pieces at a time... since I didn't even get home from work until 4:00 PM. Honestly, I have zero desire to deal with the hassle of freezing bottles outside in this weather. 🤣
Carl Clark, you know, that little side street—the one where there are just two shops and nothing else... I know, I know, I’m being tedious.. 🙂 but I have a feeling we end up shopping at the exact same place.. 😉

Well, if you aren't looking for servers or kitchen staff to go along with the banquet setup, you can certainly look into that... though there is plenty of time to decide. 🙂 You might want to start gathering some contacts and doing a little reconnaissance 😉 regarding the catering side of things—you could always ask around or just gather more info... there’s still time to weigh your options and see what sticks. And, of course, there is always that pre-marital course option... just my two cents. 😉
slyrider52 said:Back again! 🙂 I could use a little help... Where did you guys find the best selection of wedding invitations and boutonnieres? And uh, does the groom and his crew actually wear real flowers, or...? 🙂 I’m totally clueless here, honestly. This is all just getting started. 🙂 Thanks everyone..
In my case, the wedding party—parents, groomsmen, bridesmaids—will all have artificial ones, though perhaps a slightly more lush design... as for the groom, he'll be wearing live 🤷

Honestly though, we're really happy with it.. 😁 You don't have to use his printer, obviously, it's just an option.. We went with it because we honestly didn't feel like hunting around for someone else right now..
Has anyone heard of the Alstromeri flower shop in Indianapolis or worked with Marko Bijelić? I see his work mentioned here occasionally, so I guess I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with him?
I certainly believe you're happy with them... 😁 and honestly, I don't think it's much at all—the price point is actually quite solid... 😁
I haven't... I know there’s a group over in Des Moines... I just still need to track down the 🤣 last year, I actually managed to snag a phone number 🤦 through one of these forums, but then I somehow managed to lose it
silverskipper19 said:Anyway, what are you guys doing about shoes? Based on what I've read here, it seems like there aren't really any dedicated bridal boutiques out in the Midwest... I think I might have to hit up NYC. At the last wedding expo, I saw that Karl had these amazing shoes—they were pricey, sure, but I guess nothing should be off-limits on our big day, right? 🙄
Oh, I totally forgot to mention, we actually ordered our invitations from Nik Titanik.. 😍
I'm not planning on doing anything too crazy with my shoes... 😂 I was actually thinking about ordering thank-you notes from Nik Titanik... is that going to be pricey?
Calling all ladies from Vinkovci... From what I’ve gathered, there are guys in Vinkovci who actually play the bagpipes and the violin!! 🙂 I was wondering if you could maybe do some digging among your friends—they have to be out there somewhere 🙏 🙏

Are you going to be there this spring? I think that photographer is incredible. Honestly, we didn't end up booking them just because my fiancé has some connections and stuff, but I really hope I won't regret it. I just hope choosing my future husband turns out to be as good a call as this one!
Sean Cox50 is getting married—I think it's either this weekend or next.🤣
velvetgardener3 said:I’m honestly not sure where to even post this—my wedding color theme is purple or lilac, but I just went ahead and bought a darker champagne-colored gown. Now I’m second-guessing everything... how am I supposed to make these two vibes work together? I originally wanted matching shoes and a lilac bouquet, but now I'm worried if those will actually look okay against a dress that dark.
I’m actually leaning toward a purple wedding theme myself, too.😍 But when it comes to the dress, let's be real—it's the dress. Let it stay that classic champagne shade.🤷 Personally, I’ve always been a devotee of white or champagne gowns; any other color just feels a bit off to me—🤷though, of course, that’s just my own biased take. Go all out with the purple in the details instead—think shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, the bouquet, and so on. If you try to make the dress itself lilac or purple, the whole look might end up being a bit much.🤷
I really only need this for maybe two or three appearances 🙂 and I know people used to do this at weddings all the time... but honestly... nowadays you have to be much more selective about who you hire and what they actually bring to the table...
I can’t quite recall if I’ve posted this here already... but I’m looking for some live music. Specifically, I need guys who play the fiddle or maybe even some folk instruments? The idea is they’d play about three sets—just enough so people could really get into the spirit and dance a few rounds of line dancing. 😍
1.9. 😍 But honestly, I didn't even lift a finger 🤷 they sorted out the band, the photographer, and the venue—so now I’m just coasting until mid-November, when I finally get back to it...
I’m pretty much a novice when it comes to wedding planning myself... but generally speaking, deposits are non-refundable—and if everything else is squared away, you really shouldn't run into any issues. 🤷
