🙂 You’re a legend; I don't even know how to argue with you 🙏 🙏 🙏

👍 Finally, a defender of Country Music shows up. Honestly, it was getting a bit boring since everyone was acting like they don't listen to it just to stay hip. Congrats—it takes a certain amount of guts to just admit you were being foolish...

I've moved on to hardcore punk and nothing else matters to me. Those folks stick to Country Music and they seem happy enough...
Why are you so angry at them? Sure, maybe they didn't all graduate from Ivy League schools, but honestly...
What are you suggesting we do, ban it? I don't get it. Are we supposed to convert everyone listening to Country Music?

No, I'm not angry. It’s more that I just can't stand them, period. Education isn't the deciding factor here, though it definitely plays a role. You wouldn't expect an intelligent person to listen to that stuff. Usually, it’s just local small-town types—and by that, I don't mean someone living in the countryside, but rather those guys stuck in their ways, nursing a beer, completely out of touch with the world. It’s pure narrow-mindedness.
What bothers me most is how this Country Music craze is starting to grab kids as young as 14 or 15. It's unbelievable, but from what I've seen, there seems to be a correlation with lower intelligence levels.
And yeah, I believe it should be banned and sanctioned somehow. 🙄

Jonathan King said:So, what kind of music are you actually into?

I listen to pretty much anything that isn't fake Country Music. My range is fairly broad because I used to DJ at clubs back in the day, and even now, I occasionally step in to cover a set for a colleague...
I can usually find something good regardless of the genre...

It's both. But honestly, it's mostly the second one.
I don't quite get what goes through people's minds when they hear some Eastern populist singing. It seems like some primitive instinct where you just throw your head back and start howling.

Look, you were the one who said you didn't feel like arguing, so let's just leave it at that. Bye.

Please, just do me a favor and leave me out of this. I’m clearly not your target audience here, so let's just keep my posts out of it, okay? If you're going to go out of your way to label me as some kind of primitive, then at least be consistent and don't bother engaging me in a debate. It would save us both some time.

Who was even asking for support? 🙂 You think it's funny to make fun of country music fans? Think again. I don't know you, so I can't exactly feel sorry for you.

My little 😍 is quite sharp. It seems you get fired up pretty quickly, though I doubt I'm the one to blame 😘
Thanks for sharing your thoughts anyway 🙄

Scott Wright19 said:Country music??? Well, folk groups and bluegrass bands fall under that umbrella too... it's all just traditional (folk/ethnic) music... from a group like Caterpillar to Legend. My issue is that when people say "country music," they usually mean that commercialized foreign pop-country that has absolutely nothing to do with our own American roots. To me, that stuff just feels like foreign music.

You know exactly which kind of country music we're talking about. Honestly, I think you're just asking again because:
Why does everyone listen to those foreign, Eastern-style, or whatever other off-brand country tracks that have zero connection to the US? It's honestly exhausting. 🙂

Heh, I figured fans of Country music wouldn't have the nerve to actually defend their stance here. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Richard Howard2 said:If you have more than 1 GB of RAM, just disable virtual memory,

I wouldn't recommend that. I've never turned mine off, and honestly, it feels like Windows just can't function properly without a page file. It's probably better to just set it to a minimum of 2GB. You also forgot that certain programs actually rely on the page file to run; they might just crash without it.
Lawrence Miller4 said:I was wondering if anyone has ever tried tweaking the system by setting the pagefile directly into the RAM?

Heh, that's the first time I've heard of someone trying to move the pagefile into the RAM itself... Personally, I just set the pagefile to a minimum of 256MB—nothing too crazy, because you don't want Windows dynamically scaling it up on you—and cap the maximum at 1.5GB. That’s my go-to setup and I've never had an issue.
How do I quit smoking? in Health ·
There isn't much you can actually do to help him... I’m still a relatively "fresh" ex-smoker myself, having quit about six months ago. And honestly, every single day, the craving for a cigarette was there, right up until the moment I just gave up on fighting it and relapsed 😢.
I tried every substitute under the sun—mostly just eating everything in my pantry... so I really don't know. Aside from offering some emotional support, there isn't much else to be done. The one silver lining is that you aren't smoking anymore, whereas I didn't have a partner who stayed smoke-free. My wife kept on lighting up even after I quit; I can't exactly blame her, but I doubt I would have stayed quit if she had kept going too..
Tips for quitting smoking! in Health ·
I quit about six months ago....😁
Then I started eating pretty much everything in sight.🙂
I ended up gaining about 35 pounds.😢
I also picked up smoking again.😢
The weight hasn't budged.😢
It feels like I'm just eating cigarettes at this point; I still haven't lost any weight.
God help me.😛
