I'm scheduled for gallbladder surgery soon, and I just got my coagulation panel back:

FIBRINOGEN 5.2 (1.8-3.5)
THROMBIN TIME (TT) 18.8 (14.0 - 21.0)
aPTT (ratio) 1.05 (0.80 - 1.20)

I'm wondering if this elevated fibrinogen level could pose any issues for the surgery. Thanks!

I’m scheduled for gallbladder surgery next week. I just got my thyroid hormone results back today, and my TSH is elevated at 6.75. My other two levels are within the normal range. Does this present any issues for the procedure?

I agree. 🙂 It’s better to find out who someone really is now rather than later. 🙂

Then he isn't the one. 🙂 If things start getting serious, you’re eventually going to have to let them in, right? If you get the feeling he'll take it well, he probably will. Dealing with that head-on now will save you from an incredible amount of stress down the road while you're building a life together. 🙂😘

Just imagine the weight that would lift off your shoulders. 🙂 You already admitted you think he'd react positively—honestly, any reasonable person would. 🙂

I know things feel heavy right now, but you might find some peace if you just opened up to your boyfriend. You could be surprised by how naturally he accepts it, without any judgment at all. 🙂 None of us are perfect; we all carry our own little quirks or struggles, some bigger than others. From what I can see, you’re managing your condition well, but you're putting a much heavier mental burden on yourself than you actually need to. 😘
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
I have a question. I'm 30, and up until now, my cycle has always been perfectly regular. About eight days ago, right during my ovulation window, I started experiencing some light spotting. It fluctuated between brown and red, but it was constant. I was dealing with a bit of stress at the time, so I just assumed that was the cause. A few days before that, I had a pretty intense headache, though I'm not sure if there's any connection there. However, three days ago, the bleeding became heavy and included clots, which is something I deal with regularly. My lower abdomen is hurting, and I have this strange, feverish sensation down there. I also feel like it might be messing with my digestion. I'm planning to see my OB-GYN tomorrow, but I wanted to ask if anyone here has gone through something similar?

My last checkup was six months ago at my clinic, and everything was fine—no cysts or anything, just a minor yeast infection. I'm not currently in a relationship, so I can rule out any physical injury.
My right wrist is killing me in Health ·
I've been dealing with this same pain for about a month now. Last week, I went to see my doctor, and she prescribed a course of Lubor and Deep Relief. If things don't improve, she mentioned moving me toward physical therapy. The pain has mostly subsided, but reading your comments about these medications just masking the underlying issue has me feeling pretty anxious. 😕 I can still use my hand quite well, though I try not to overdo it. 🙂 Oh, and I do wear an arm brace from time to time.

C&A—if you're looking for larger sizes, it’s actually worth making the trip over to Austria or Canada since they're closer to you anyway. They carry much more substantial pieces, but they also have great stuff for younger crowds (and they use the same sizing models from S to XL 🙂 ). I personally wear larger sizes and have a fuller bust, so finding their tops was a total lifesaver for me. Their summer collection is decent right now; t-shirts run anywhere from about $5 to $15.

Is that true? In what way is it dangerous? When I get a headache, Tylenol is my only go-to because nothing else touches it. Only during those rare, intense headaches do I reach for Advil Rapid, but usually, I avoid it because I feel it's a bit too strong for me.
Phobias... in Health ·
Jessica Wright said:I experience this with stairs, but only when I'm heading down. It happens on certain ones—it's hard to explain which ones, but usually where the pattern makes it tough to see where one step ends and the next begins.😁

That’s exactly how it feels for me, too. It's a relief to know I'm not alone! 😘 My biggest struggle is having to navigate those specific stairs and needing someone to help me, even if it's just holding my hand for stability. Most people just laugh, not realizing that in those moments, I'm actually living through a total nightmare.

I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to stairs. It’s not all of them—thankfully, because my life would be pretty limited if it were 🙂—but sometimes it really gets to me. For instance, if there are a ton of them, or if they're those steep, winding ones without a handrail... It isn't even an issue while I'm climbing; it's the descent that triggers me. My palms get sweaty, my heart starts racing, I struggle to breathe... it's pure panic. If there's a sturdy railing, I can manage, but without one... 😬

I can relate to every single one of those! 😁>
