Plus, you’ve got all these people complaining about everything, though I doubt they’d even bother traveling to a nearby country for a massive festival like Lollapalooza.

But what even defines a "real festival"? 🙂

Honestly, I think Coachella has turned into an amazing event, and look, we all know every festival attracts its own specific crowd...
It's like how I don't go to Bonnaroo just because some random local band is playing—it's just not my thing...

If someone wants those more "alternative" vibes, they can hit up Apple instead... personally, I love that both Coachella and Apple have such high energy, so I guess I'm just living my best life... 🙂

And regarding the prices, seriously, wtf? Coachella is actually a cheap festival considering who they've booked so far... why all the whining? 🤷

Before anyone sits down with their coffee and starts trashing the lineup, claiming they wouldn't pay even $3.25 for these bands, I already pointed out above that every festival caters to its own audience. 👋

thanks for the heads up, man...

man, I really hope the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival finds us a beer brand that won't leave us with a killer headache... seriously... 🙂

Is that just a dream of yours or did you actually hear something solid?

edit: my bad! http://jackjohnsonmusic.com/tour looks legit 🙂
Nah, you got it wrong... they're actually putting the festival ticket booth right at that big turnoff over by the Dubuque intersection... 🙄
Drew Adams58 said:I mean, that’s not even real rage, they’re actually such a killer band. ☕

Man, I just realized those guys actually wrote "Rise Against The Machine" on there... total facepalm moment.

And according to... I just saw this listing for a show coming up in Venice—honestly, looking at those lineups makes me want to clear my whole schedule and just head out there. So looks like it's actually going to be Rise Against playing instead of RATM.

Hey guys... what's up?
Check out this wild lineup they’ve got lined up for a Budweiser fest in Venice, just about ten days after Coachella wraps up:

http://www.venezia.net/heineken-jammin-festival/

We're talking Rage, Wolfmother, Ben Harper, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Green Day, Skunk Anansie, The Cranberries, Massive Attack... and that's not even the full list, haha. 🙂

Man, I just noticed the organizers wrote Rise Against The Machine on the flyer... does anyone actually know who's playing now? 😁
Drew Adams58 said:nah, I was actually the guy forced to listen to that stuff against my will

you didn't have to ☕
Jesse Sanchez60 said:man that's actually a solid question...

and if you look right here you'll find the answer too, just scroll down a bit to the concert announcements section 🤣

I couldn't care less about any of that...
mostly they were just lesbians...
those background black backing vocals...
I hate it when someone...
I hate it just as much as...
just drop it already...
your deep voice means nothing to me, so beat it...
screw them all...
I don't give a damn about Phoenix...
as long as the song doesn't piss me off...
it was just a whole lot of Muddy shit...
man, you guys really need to get a life...

hollowangler68 said:The Go! Team was honestly such a vibe 🎉, just wish they played a bit longer 😢

I don't get Hot Chip at all, like seriously, what are they even doing? 🤷

Cave was incredible, though the arrangement for Mercy Seat didn't quite hit the spot for me
but man, Papa Won't Leave You, Hard on for Love, and Tupelo were absolute killers 🙏

Yeah, I'm right there with you on all of that... 🙂

They're actually opening for Pearl Jam during part of their US tour this June.. 🙂
Robin Rodriguez5 said:It’s just great how they pushed the show back nearly three weeks ago and we still haven't heard a single official word about it 😬

honestly though, let's all just go ahead and grab tickets anyway 😬

And there's still absolutely nothing posted on their site.

I was actually thinking about Juliette & The Licks @ The Fillmore... yeah, I know the organizer is Nota... but you know what I mean... 🙂
Robin Rodriguez5 said:I honestly think this is more on the promoter than Ticketmaster; I really doubt Ticketmaster would just decide to start and stop selling tickets on their own little whim.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be harsh on Ticketmaster or anything... but if things were already pushed back and the promoter put it up on their site, they could've just pulled the tickets from sale, you know? But hey, whatever...
... looking ahead to October... according to www.fillmore.com ... 👎

but honestly, the funniest part is how www.ticketmaster.com is still pushing tickets like nothing happened... absolute geniuses... 😵

Look, I ended up grabbing this bottle from the concert in Chicago back on October 21, 2006. Since they had already played their main set, I honestly didn't realize there was going to be a second encore, so I just sort of impulsively—but totally consciously—swiped the bottle from the candle stand (since the candle I was holding had somehow fallen somewhere). I truly had no idea how much that meant to them, and man, those guys mean a lot to me. Part of the reason I went for it was because some guy in front of me snatched the drumstick the drummer specifically aimed at me; he looked right at me before tossing it, but this dude reached out and grabbed it first, so I missed out. I just assumed they did this ritual at every show and swapped the bottle out constantly, but once I got home, I noticed the glass was covered in layers upon layers of wax, which made me realize just how many hands it had passed through. I heard about the drummer's reaction when he realized the bottle was gone, and honestly, I felt like garbage once I figured it out. I knew it was part of their ritual, but I genuinely thought it was a new one every night, so I figured, hey, why not? I'm not some jerk, and I definitely wasn't drunk when I did it, but I never could have imagined they were so emotionally tied to that specific piece of glass. It’s a beautiful souvenir to me, but I’d happily give it up just to make things right. My bad to the rest of the fans. Let me know if anyone knows how to reach them; I'm heading to their official site now to see if I can mail it back at my own expense. I really want to return it if possible.

official site:

Just keep scrolling and pick from the menu... be a legend and catch them while they're touring in Italy, Germany, or Belgium and hand the bottle back in person... just watch out, you don't want that drummer coming after you 😁

Jack Walker64 said:My doctor can't squeeze me in until Monday, so I figured I'd hit the forums to get some general thoughts before my appointment just to be safe... Thanks.

The internet is honestly amazing for looking stuff up AFTER you actually know what you're dealing with... trust me, trying to play doctor with yourself or anyone else based on a few symptoms is just asking for trouble...
I remember about a year back, I totally spiraled thinking I had skin cancer because of some spot on my leg I saw online... turned out it was just a scratch...
Just try to enjoy your weekend and head to the clinic on Monday... don't let it mess with your head too much over nothing...

Imagine if someone just joked around and told you it was cancer just because they went through it once... 😕

👍

To me, being an Alternative fan basically just means you aren't listening to the same mainstream stuff that every other American is stuck on. 😉

I'm with you there, boldeagle3... honestly, I'd rather be hanging out in Ipanema... you know, the one in Rio. 😁
Running a slight fever in Health ·
Susan Hughes85 said:I've been running a fever of about 100.5 for the last couple days, and right now it's sitting at 101. She's feeling like her throat is being ripped apart—honestly feels like it's bleeding on the inside. Even sipping plain water feels like swallowing sulfuric acid. And whenever I cough, my head thumps so hard I feel like it's going to split in two. I went to see my doctor today and she put me on Ceclor. I'm also using some Sudafed syrup and taking Bayer Aspirin twice a day. My boyfriend actually got some antibiotics from his doctor, specifically Keflex, so he's taking those. My doctor isn't totally sure what I've caught yet; she thinks it's probably just the flu, but I don't have a headache or body aches... well, not yet, anyway..
How long does this stuff usually last??

ugh... man, the bug hit me pretty hard on Tuesday after work... I'm still stuck in bed (well, okay, I need it, I'm just at my desk right now 🙂 )... I've mostly been hovering around 100.4, though it spiked to 101.8 last night, and it's still over 100 and climbing... I've just been grabbing some throat lozenges and cough medicine... Tylenol is just sitting there on the table waiting if the fever gets too crazy... every time I cough, my head absolutely screams... 😠

but hey, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? 🙂

hope everyone feels better soon... 👍

Why couldn't they just tour through America too?

Oh man, I'd love to catch them in NYC... honestly, even if we had to squeeze into some tiny, sweaty club...
