Hey there, my favorites!!! Finally got my surgery date scheduled for January 18th. (Before this, they couldn't even get a surgical team together—can you believe that?) But honestly, whatever, I just want this thing to go smoothly! On a brighter note, I’ve got some great news—that immunotherapy I was doing in Germany after chemo is still working wonders 😍 aside from keeping the cancer stable, I actually gained 5.5 lbs in just four weeks, oh my god!!!! 👍 So, I’m feeling way stronger now and totally ready to go head-to-head with this "beast."
p.s. Jessica Booth35 Honey, I am so incredibly sorry about your mom and everything you guys are going through right now. Back in the day, I used Biobran (taking 16 capsules a day) and I didn't have any bad experiences, though I have to admit I didn't see anything life-changing either. I really believe that any supplement with a natural base meant to boost the immune system is a good idea, but everyone reacts differently, I guess. I'm crossing my fingers hard that everything turns out okay. Sincere regards, Grace Fowler 🙂
Hey everyone!!!! I'm just sitting here on this last night of the year, and I couldn't help myself—I just had to jump on here to say hi and wish you all a much better, brighter 2008... even though I learned a long time ago that you really should be thanking God every single morning just to have another day ahead of you, I truly, from the bottom of my heart, hope all your wishes and dreams actually come true. Dan:-)
Danilo, I honestly want nothing more than for you to hold steady in your fight to beat addiction. Just realizing it’s even there—and actually taking steps to fix it—that's half the battle right there. Seriously, all of us on this Forum are rooting for you because we truly get what this kind of suffering feels like... Best, Dan
Hey there! I just wanted to jump in and say that after fighting this "monster" for years, I’ve personally seen the best results using homeopathic products—honestly, Dr. Soltysek was a huge help to me. Plus, I actually just got back from Germany where I was undergoing immunotherapy, and man, it worked wonders. My immune system is completely stabilized now, and I've even got an operation scheduled for January 3rd to finally wipe this thing out for good. Best, Dan
BRAVO, BRAVO !!!!!! Seriously, huge congrats—and hey, if you need anything at all, just say the word. I’m happy to jump in and help out however I can.😉
Hey everyone! I’ve got quite a bit of news to share—things are looking, well, complicated, I guess... Regarding the chemo, the good news is that it actually hit the targets in my lungs, but it didn't do much for the stuff in my pelvis (since I was already radiated). To make matters worse, because it's pretty hard on the kidneys, my right kidney took a hit too. Because of that, the medical board decided I can't do any more IV chemo; they're switching me to oral Endoxan instead. At first, I honestly thought they were giving up on me—really, I did—but after sleeping on it, I realized I just have to keep pushing forward. So, I went to see my surgeon to talk about trying to surgically remove those pelvic masses, and he actually agreed! So now, I'm just in this waiting game until the surgery. Since Christmas is right around the corner, I'm kind of hoping a successful surgery will be my little gift from God for the holidays. Anyway, that's all from me for now... I'll check back in when I have more updates. And seriously, THANK YOU all for the support. Grace Fowler
Diana dear! Please accept my most sincere condolences regarding the loss of your loved one... I really hope that God gives you all the strength in the world to keep moving forward—bravely, you know, just for yourself and those little angels of yours who need you so much... Grace Fowler
Hey there, my favorites!!! Well, the results are finally in... and honestly, I don't even know what to tell you guys... basically, the SITUATION is pretty much where we left off back in May when they diagnosed the recurrence with those metastases in the lungs (something just decided to set up camp there and won't budge). On the bright side, there are some calcifications showing up, which suggests the chemo actually did its job—plus, the disease hasn't progressed too aggressively. This Monday, I’m taking everything to the oncology board so they can decide our next move. It'll probably be more chemo, since I've hit my limit for radiation in that area—they can't target the pelvic region anymore without overdoing it. I'm not, I guess, overly devastated; maybe I was hoping for even a tiny bit of better news, but hey, it is what it is... I'm just pushing forward... though I have to admit, even though I've been fighting this war for nearly nine years now, every time these bad results roll in, a wave of anxiety hits me regardless. I can't keep repeating the same old story over and over, so based on that, I'm just moving ahead.... Thank you all so much for the support... I'll check back in once I get the orders on what happens next... Stay kind and stay brave. Diana
Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you all a quick update on how things went with the treatment I did over in Germany... after finishing up my sixth round of chemo here in the States, I decided to head over to New York City to try a three-week immunotherapy course combined with some galvanic therapy... As for whether it actually worked? I won't know for sure until Tuesday when I get my next CT scan, but honestly—the fact remains that in the 8.5 years I've been battling this thing, I haven't seen blood work look this good... which is huge for me. Plus, my appetite is finally back (so, I guess I’m feeling a little lucky for once...). I'll keep you guys posted on everything... please keep your fingers crossed for me, because even with all my willpower, sometimes life just wears you down... like it's doing to me right now... That's all from me, Jane Doe
Jane!! I just read the news, and I am so, so sorry... I just got back from an appointment at the Mayo Clinic, so I’m a little behind on everything... I just want to say, with everything I've got, please stay strong—keep fighting and hang in there.. We’re all right here for you, just like you’ve always been there for us. Grace Fowler
Hey there, my favorites!! Just a quick check-in from Germany where I’ve started a three-week course of immunotherapy—those last six rounds of chemo absolutely wrecked me, honestly. Everything seems okay so far... the level of patient care here is night and day compared to what we have back home. My doctor was actually really happy with how I'm responding, so fingers crossed my next update is even better news. I just wanted you all to know that I am right there with you, heart and soul, through all those selfless battles you're fighting for your loved ones. For me, this forum feels like—"Good morning, I'm heading out to grab coffee with friends." Thanks for everything, guys. Dina
Hey everyone! My heart goes out to anyone dealing with loss right now... honestly, sometimes I get this wave of anxiety just reading through all these posts... but I try to shake it off and just keep pushing forward.. anyway, this coming Wednesday is my sixth-to-last one in this cycle... and obviously, my only focus right now is making sure my WBC and platelet counts stay high enough to actually get the treatment... If God wills it, I'm heading to a clinic in Germany next Monday for intensive immunotherapy—I'm really pinning my hopes on that being the breakthrough I need... Hang in there, everyone, and wish me luck... Grace Fowler
Hey Honestly, guys, what can I even say... I just finished my fifth round of chemo in this cycle... and man, I am absolutely wiped out. I’m feeling it in my soul. But I don't know—maybe it's just pure stubbornness—but something keeps pushing me to just keep grinding through it. Every single bone in my body aches—just one of those lovely side effects from the drugs—so typing this is actually a massive struggle... but I need this little window to the world. I'm sending you all so much strength. Please, don't you ever give up. Keep fighting until you win—until you're healed... Dina from the outskirts ....
I can only offer you some moral support at this point... just stay strong... I'm really pulling for you and hoping everything goes well with the treatment... Grace Fowler
Hey there! My experience getting a PET CT scan was honestly pretty terrible. My oncologist over at Mayo Clinic requested one, but I just couldn't get an appointment at the local hospital—and since we were dealing with a suspected ovarian cancer recurrence, I didn't exactly have the luxury of waiting around indefinitely. I finally managed to snag the earliest possible slot at a university clinic in Vienna at AKZ. Honestly, the staff was great and the facility itself was phenomenal, plus the total price included the full expertise—meaning the report in both German and English, the CD, and a personal walkthrough from the professor explaining what they saw—all for 1,309 USD. But—and here’s the kicker—of course they refused to refund me anything... because apparently, you just have to wait until it's your turn, and if you don't, too bad. It was just so incredibly shady... Sorry for the venting
Linda Campbell, I honestly don't even know what to say—it’s just pure heartbreak. There aren't even enough words in the dictionary to describe how you must be feeling right now... Grace Fowler
Hey there! It’s really nothing to freak out about—it mostly just looks like some inflammation and degenerative changes (but I guess your urologist, the one who ordered all these tests, will give you the full rundown anyway)... so seriously, don't panic... Best,
Hey everyone!! I don't know about you guys, but I always kind of zone out when I'm reading through these posts... I mean, I get what everyone is saying, obviously—nothing really catches me off guard anymore at this point (between my dad’s leukemia passing and my own long-term battle with being sick...). But now I've actually run into a bit of a snag because after my last round of chemo, my CBC results just tanked again—my white blood cell and platelet counts are way below the normal range (if things don't look better by tomorrow, I might have to go in for a transfusion), which is just... ugh, gross. :-(( Honestly, getting the actual chemo isn't even the worst part for me; it's that crushing feeling of exhaustion that hits right after—the pain... the total weakness... I always try to talk myself into it, like, "come on, just three more to go," and I just keep pushing from one round to the next. So, I'm sending you all some heartfelt positive vibes—wishing you the strength to stay brave, both for your loved ones and for yourselves, while we're all stuck navigating these heavy storms life keeps throwing our way.. Best, Grace Fowler 🙂
What a total joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you’re actually being nice about it too Those people are absolute morons—seriously, we aren't talking about some fancy downtown parking garage where snobs go to grab coffee in the middle of the city... gross... not to mention there isn't a single shop in that entire hospital you can even run an errand in under an hour.... Man, I don't think anything has ticked me off quite like that garage situation in a long time.... :-((((
Hey there, my favorites!! Well, the third one is officially down. The reality is, I feel—actually, scratch that, I don't feel anything at all (these bone pains are just straight-up brutal)—but I'm not letting this crap take over my head or my life... I need you guys to stay brave for me, because I’m sure as hell going to keep fighting... Sending a million hugs to everyone, from Grace Fowler
