Parking and garage access in front of medical centers

I don't really find myself heading to hospitals all that often—not my usual scene—but I actually need to make it over to the New York City medical center tomorrow. Does anyone happen to know if their parking garage is open? Thanks

It opened today. I believe there is a one-hour fee $2.75

Exactly, feralgardener11, that's my take too (saw it on the news)... and I can personally vouch for what they said about it being an hour-long $2.75... though if we misheard the broadcast, well, don't kill the messenger. 😁

I had heard through the grapevine that it was actually finished about six months ago, though I suppose they only just managed to secure the permits today

Those people are absolute morons—seriously, we aren't talking about some fancy downtown parking garage where snobs go to grab coffee in the middle of the city... gross... not to mention there isn't a single shop in that entire hospital you can even run an errand in under an hour....

We aren't from New York City, but we're heading there in about two weeks for our daughter's stay at the Mayo Clinic...
Since we'll be staying in the hospital for a few days, I was wondering about the daily parking rates for the garage at the Mayo Clinic. Does anyone know how or where I can actually purchase a day pass? I checked the local municipal parking website, and while it says the rate is $20/day, it doesn't give any details on where to buy one or how I’m supposed to renew it every single morning.

We actually booked an apartment right in the pediatric neurology department, so we’ll be staying on the same floor as our little girl.
I know about the unknown and how they handle parking, but that's not really the issue here. Since our daughter has PP, we absolutely have to be right by her side. The bigger challenge is managing her specialized formula feedings; trying to do all that in a standard hotel room just isn't feasible...

Yeah, I figured out the kid’s gonna be staying at the hospital; you can just grab a day pass down in the garage where they handle parking, takes maybe an hour or two... the rest of the details I'll just shoot you in a DM

They let you out after 6:00 PM just like they do on weekends. It’s like if you’re just swinging by to pick up your wife and kids, they’ll let you through, and then you just exit via the ramp on the far side of the unknown area.

Since we're dealing with Zone 2, honestly, the most cost-effective move via NYC Parking would be grabbing either a weekly or a monthly pass, especially since you'll be staying long enough to make it worth it.
