It took American studios about six years to pull off a remake of The Eye, even though the producers made the call just months after the original hit theaters. Personally, I think the original holds up way better than the sequel. Alba is in the remake, and honestly, she’s one of my top five picks for a horror lead—she’d be perfect for any scary role, but she does a solid job here too. Has anyone else seen the original or the remake? What did you guys think?

So, in my case, it was this woman working at a Blockbuster—basically a newsstand or a little corner shop where they sell cigarettes and magazines. Two times she really threw me for a loop:
1. I pick out a movie, head up to the register, and see some white Philip Morris packs on the shelf. So I ask:
"Hey, do you have that blue Philip Morris?" And she looks at me all serious-like and asks which movie
he's in.
2. Then I go to return a movie and ask if they have any new comedies. She points to a poster in the window featuring Steven Seagal in his latest flick and goes, "He's hilarious, especially when he plays a thief in Home Alone."

Small clubs. That’s what he meant. Honestly, I think it's just plain stupid. This kind of thing had to happen in the US because, let's face it, there isn't much international flair over there anyway (well, maybe if you count those two teams from Canada). What the Champions League actually gives us is that rush of watching the absolute giants battle it out every two weeks. Once we find out who the winner is in May, we just spend the summer counting down the days until the next season starts. And like Ethan Perez97 said, if we had matches like this every single Saturday and Sunday, it would be just as exciting as watching San Francisco vs. Ohio. I'm not saying those aren't good teams—I actually root for Ohio—but the hype is on a whole different level when you've got Real Madrid and Bayern Munich on the pitch. Not to mention how much it would tank the quality of all the other leagues. I mean, where did guys like Shevchenko, Zidane, or Nedved come from? They came from smaller leagues that would become even weaker under this system, while actual young talents would just wither away while a bunch of grandfathers played in the G16.

Honestly, those things running at you aren't even zombies—they're just total idiots.
The original zombies? They’re just rotting, stinking messes barely dragging themselves down the street.
They go all like "graaarrrgggg," but you know, it’s not even scary. It’s more like... pathetic? Just totally exhausted and sad.
Honestly, you’ll just wet yourself the second you lay eyes on them.

Those first ones? They were real zombies. To me, that was the whole point of the movie—they were slow, lumbering, and creepy. But even then, everyone still panicked, barricaded themselves in, and bolted the second they caught a glimpse of them. These newer sequels have just turned into pure action flicks instead of actual horror. Honestly, at this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up seeing Dolph Lundgren jumping into the next one.

Finally, it's 2:30 AM and I can actually get maybe four hours of sleep, but man, am I glad to be done.
