Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
I dealt with hemorrhoids after my pregnancy—even though I had a really easy delivery. I tried applying everything under the sun, but eventually, they just cleared up on their own.

Now that I’m pregnant again, I’m terrified history will repeat itself. Is there any way to prevent this before it starts? I know I probably sound a bit ridiculous... 🙂

The best remedy: ignorance!
How long does the honeymoon phase actually last? in Psychology ·
I’d say two years. Based on my own experience (three separate 🙂 sessions).

And I’m inclined toward the theory—regardless of who owns it (to me, it points 😉back towards Freud, soul work, and all that)—that we simply fall in love by repeating the exact patterns established by our families.
Urine and acne: Does it actually work? in Health ·
I assume this lady mentioned using urea-based products in some interview, and the journalists immediately blew the whole thing out of proportion—turning a molehill into a mountain just to create a sensational headline claiming she washes her face with urine.

Let’s be realistic; even a preschooler isn't that irrational...

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with urea (aside from the name 😁); it is a compound found in most high-quality creams. Yes, it exists in urine, but it is definitely synthesized in a lab, not extracted from bodily waste.

For instance, it is an ingredient in excellent Eucerin products:

Dear Laura Wells15,
if you actually want to fix your skin issues, stop considering the nonsense you see online and go see a doctor for proper hormonal, antibiotic, macrobiotic, laser, or whatever legitimate therapy you need.
Folliculitis or sebaceous glands? in Health ·
My primary care physician diagnosed me immediately—folliculitis, no doubt about it. She prescribed an antibiotic (I can't recall which one specifically) aimed at treating soft tissue inflammation, but frankly, nothing changed. That’s why she sent me for swabs, which came back COMPLETELY sterile; there wasn't a single bacterium to be found.

That is precisely my point...
They have nothing to fight against because they don't even know the cause.

So, they cycled me through corticosteroids, then some kind of antifungal treatments, then light therapy... And absolutely nothing worked!!!

Except for tanning beds and St. John's Wort. Not to mention my own exhaustion and stubbornness, obviously...

Greetings.

I don't have a definitive answer for you, but I dealt with folliculitis on my right thigh and getting rid of the aftermath—those dark spots—was an absolute nightmare.

Those pimple-like bumps under the skin didn't respond to anything; antibiotics, steroids, ointments... nothing worked.
The doctors were guessing wildly at first. They thought it was a massage oil allergy, then a bacterial infection, then ovarian issues, then this or that. I hopped from one dermatologist to another, traveling from Washington, D.C. all the way to Seattle, before finally finding a top-tier specialist in Brooklyn through some friends. 🙏She was blunt with me. She admitted they had only seen a case like mine once before and there was no magic cure—it either clears up on its own or lingers for years (like their one patient who has been dealing with it on her hand for over two decades).
Her advice was to try tanning beds, and honestly, that actually worked.

Just to be clear—I did every allergy test and bacterial swab available, and everything came back negative.

As for the scarring, I managed to clear that up by applying evening primrose oil for six months.

For me, the whole ordeal lasted two years. It just appeared out of nowhere. 🙄
Post-summer breakouts: What works? in Health ·
Here is another one. 😠

My face is breaking out again, and my back is just as bad. I have tried absolutely everything since my teenage years. Honestly, aside from basic cleansing without using fancy specialized products, I think everything else is just a waste of money. My doctors still haven't pinpointed the exact cause because everything looks fine, except for high prolactin levels.

The only thing that actually worked for me—and the one thing I always go back to—is a healthy diet! I haven't tried macrobiotics, but I am certain it would solve everything, given that following the Montignac system worked wonders for me.

Well, I suppose I only have myself to blame when I eventually let my guard down... It starts small, one chocolate bar here, a cookie there...

I guarantee you, the results will come (it takes about three months) and they will be long-lasting!!!!

Thanks, Jose Miller3.
In that case, I can enable it as well. Where on earth is it located?
