So, our right-wingers are stuck choosing between a pro-EU Republican Party that basically abandoned its economic platform, or this whole parade of ridiculous characters claiming to represent the so-called right. There just isn't a serious, articulate conservative option in this country. It could have worked if actual, sane right-wing intellectuals had actually pulled together to form a single party or a solid coalition, developed a real policy framework, and finally weeded out these clowns who show up on the news every day pretending to be the face of American conservatism.
Look, I consider myself a conservative, but this election, I’m casting my vote for the Democratic Coalition. When I take a look at what passes for the right wing around here, it’s honestly depressing. You’ve got this massive, messy fragmentation where you have dozens of tiny Libertarian Party splinter groups, and then there’s the absolute circus of clowns claiming to represent us—people like various George Washingtons and George Washingtons, just a bunch of unhinged loudmouths and conspiracy theorists who can't articulate a coherent thought to save their lives. Then you have the Republican Party, which only claims to be conservative in name while acting like anything else. It’s a joke. That version of the right doesn't deserve a single one of my votes.
So, I’ve been wondering: do our right-wingers actually give a damn about capitalism? I’m talking about the crowd that spends all their energy obsessing over national identity or rehashing old battles between historical factions, yet almost never touches on actual economics. What does a typical conservative in this camp really think about capitalism? Are they more likely to push for worker protections or go all-in on market deregulation? And do they even show up at protests against Wall Street?
I haven't really been keeping up with recent releases lately, and honestly, I'm pretty fed up with all these prehistoric legacy acts. I’m looking for some solid recommendations for anything high-quality that's come out recently. Just a heads-up: stay away from indie, hip-hop, R&B, or anything in that vein. Nothing like that interests me at all.
