Recommendations: 2000 to present

I haven't really been keeping up with recent releases lately, and honestly, I'm pretty fed up with all these prehistoric legacy acts. I’m looking for some solid recommendations for anything high-quality that's come out recently. Just a heads-up: stay away from indie, hip-hop, R&B, or anything in that vein. Nothing like that interests me at all.

True, though I would argue that hip-hop has become an exceptionally innovative and diverse genre lately. It certainly pays to keep an ear out every once in a while, even if you aren't typically a devotee of the style 🙂

Gogol Bordello might not strictly fall under the rock umbrella—it's more like gypsy punk—but as someone who’s always been a bit of a die-hard rocker at heart, I truly love them. You really should give them a listen...😍

Nashville Pussy dropped their first record back in the late nineties, but these two are definitely their best work.

Oh yeah, Witchcraft is pretty Swedish. Though I'm not sure what kind of rock you're actually talking about—that term is way too broad.

Think tight rock—classic, hard, garage, Southern, bluesy. I’m down for some moderate psych or prog too. Just nothing indie or anything like that.

You really should have laid that out in the opening post—and honestly, even the title needs more clarity—otherwise there’s no way for anyone to actually know what they're supposed to be looking for here.

So, basically what I'm saying is—they both fall under the hard rock umbrella. One's got that gritty, Southern stomp to it, while the other leans way more into the psychedelic side of things.

Do albums from older bands released in 2000 or later actually count?
